[1]Forsothe the Lord answeride to Joob fro the whirlewynd, [1]ܘܲܥܢ̣ܵܐ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܘܐܸܡ̣ܲܪ ܠܐܝܼܘܿܒ̣ ܡ̣ܢ ܥܲܠܥܵܠܵܐ.
[2]and seide, Girde thou as a man thi leendis, and Y schal axe thee, and schewe thou to me. [2]ܐܲܣܘܿܪܢܹܐ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܓܲܢ̄ܒܵܪܵܐ ܚܲܨܲܝ̈ܟ. ܐܹܫܹܐܠܵܟ݂: ܐܵܘܕܲܥܲܝܢܝ.
[3]Whether thou schalt make voide my doom, and schalt condempne me, that thou be maad iust? [3]ܐܸܢܗ̤ܘ ܕܲܡܒܲܛܸܠ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ ܠܝܼ. ܘܲܡܚܲܝܸܒ̣ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ ܠܝܼ ܕܬܸܙܟܸܐ.
[4]And if thou hast an arm, as God hath, and if thou thundrist with lijk vois, `take thou fairnesse aboute thee, [4]ܐܝܼܬ̣ ܠܵܟ݂ ܕܪܵܥܵܐ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܕܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ. ܘܪܵܥܹ̇ܡ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ ܒܩܵܠܵܐ ܐܲܟ݂ܘܵܬܹܗ.
[5]and be thou reisid an hiy, and be thou gloriouse, and be thou clothid `in faire clothis. [5]ܠܒܲܫ ܓܲܐܝܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܘܓܲܢ̄ܒܵܪܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ. ܘܐܸܬ̣ܥܲܛܲܦ ܙܝܼܘܵܐ ܘܗܸܕ݂ܪܵܐ.
[6]Distrie thou proude men in thi woodnesse, and biholde thou, and make lowe ech bostere. [6]ܘܐܲܫܘܿܕ݂ ܚܸܡܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܪܘܼܓ̣ܙܵܟ݂ ܘܲܚܙܝܼ ܟܠ ܕܪܵܡ: ܣܚܘܿܦܲܝܗܝ.
[7]Biholde thou alle proude men, and schende thou hem; and al to-breke thou wickid men in her place. [7]ܘܐܲܪܡܵܐ ܠܚܲܛܵܝܹ̈ܐ ܒܕ݂ܘܼܟܲܬ̣ܗܘܿܢ.
[8]Hide thou hem in dust togidere, and drenche doun her faces in to a diche. [8]ܘܐܲܟ݂ܚ̄ܕ݂ܵܐ ܒܥܲܦܪܵܐ ܛܡܘܿܪ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ. ܘܐܲܦܲܝ̈ܗܘܿܢ ܚܒ̣ܘܿܫ ܒܕܲܚܝܼܚܵܐ.
[9]And Y schal knowleche, that thi riyt hond may saue thee. [9]ܘܐܵܦ ܐܸܢܵܐ ܐܹܫܲܒ̇ܚܵܟ݂: ܡܵܐ ܕܲܦܪܲܩܬ̣ܵܟ݂ ܝܲܡܝܼܢܵܟ݂.
[10]Lo! behemot, whom Y made with thee, schal as an oxe ete hey. [10]ܗܵܐ ܒܸܗܡܘܿܬ̣ ܕܥܲܒ̣ܕܹ̇ܬ̣ ܥܲܡܵܟ݂: ܥܡܝܼܪܵܐ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܬܵܘܪܵܐ ܐܵܟܹ̇ܠ.
[11]His strengthe is in hise leendis, and his vertu is in the nawle of his wombe. [11]ܘܥܘܼܫܢܹܗ ܒܣܸܬ̇ܪܹܗ.
[12]He streyneth his tail as a cedre; the senewis of his `stones of gendrure ben foldid togidere. [12]ܙܵܩܹ̇ܦ ܕܘܼܢܒܹ̇ܗ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܐܲܪܙܵܐ. ܘܲܙܩܝܼܦܝܼܢ ܓܝܵـ̈ـܕܹܐ ܕܦܘܼܚܕܵܘ̈ܗܝ.
[13]Hise boonys ben as the pipis of bras; the gristil of hym is as platis of yrun. [13]ܓܲܪ̈ܡܵܘܗܝ ܥܲܫܝܼܢܝܼܢ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܢܚܵܫܵܐ ܘܐܲܝܟ݂ ܦܲܪܙܠܵܐ.
[14]He is the bigynnyng of the weies of God; he, that made hym, schal sette his swerd to hym. [14]ܗ̤ܘܝܘܼ ܪܹܫ ܟܠܗܹܝܢ ܒܸܪ̈ܝܵܬܹܗ ܕܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ. ܕܥܲܒ̣ܕܹ̇ܗ ܕܢܸܥܒܸ̇ܕ݂ ܩܪܵܒ̣ܵܐ.
[15]Hillis beren eerbis to this behemot; alle the beestis of the feeld pleien there. [15]ܘܣܘܿܓ̣ܵܐܐ ܕܛܘܼܪܹ̈ܐ ܫܩܝܼܠܝܼܢ ܠܹܗ ܘܟ݂ܠܵܗ̇ ܚܲܝ̄ܘܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܕܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ: ܬܚܹܝܬ̣ ܛܸܠܵܠܹܗ ܕܵܡ̇ܟܵܐ.
[16]He slepith vndur schadewe, in the pryuete of rehed, in moiste places. [16]ܘܲܒ̣ܣܸܬܵܪܵܐ ܕܩܲܢܝܵܐ ܪܵܒܲܥ.
[17]Schadewis hilen his schadewe; the salewis of the ryuer cumpassen hym. [17]ܟܪܝܼܟ݂ܝܼܢ ܠܹܗ ܛܸܠܵܠܹ̈ܐ. ܘܲܟ݂ܪܝܼܟ݂ܝܼܢ ܠܹܗ ܥܘܼܪ̈ܒܹܐ ܕܢܲܚܠܵܐ.
[18]He schal soupe vp the flood, and he schal not wondre; he hath trist, that Jordan schal flowe in to his mouth. [18]ܐܸܢ ܫܵܘܲܪ ܢܲܗܪܵܐ: ܠܵܐ ܙܵܐܲܥ ܘܲܬ̣ܟ݂ܝܼܠ ܕܢܵܣܹ̇ܟ݂ ܠܹܗ ܝܘܿܪܕ̇ܢܵܢ ܠܦܘܼܡܹܗ.
[19]He schal take hem bi `the iyen of hym, as bi an hook; and bi scharpe schaftis he schal perse hise nosethirlis. [19]ܒܲܥܢܵܢܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܢܸܣܒ̣ܝܼܘܗܝ ܒܲܡܨܝܼܕ̇ܬܵܐ ܢܸܬ̇ܬ̇ܚܸܕ݂.
[20]Whether thou schalt mowe drawe out leuyathan with an hook, and schalt bynde with a roop his tunge? [20]ܬܹܐܚܕ̇ܝܼܘܗܝ ܠܬܲܢܝܼܢܵܐ ܒܲܡܨܝܼܕ̇ܬܵܐ. ܒܚܲܒ̣ܠܵܐ ܬܹܐܚܕ̇ܝܼܘܗܝ ܒܠܸܫܵܢܹܗ.
[21]Whethir thou schalt putte a ryng in hise nosethirlis, ethir schalt perse hyse cheke with `an hook? [21]ܪܵܡܹ̇ܐ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ ܦܓ̣ܘܼܕ̇ܬܵܐ ܒܦܘܼܡܹܗ ܘܢܵܩܹ̇ܒ̣ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ ܦܲܟܹ̇ܗ ܒܫܘܼܪܹܗ.
[22]Whether he schal multiplie preieris to thee, ether schal speke softe thingis to thee? [22]ܘܐܸܢ ܡܲܣܓܹ̇ܐ ܒܵܥܹ̇ܐ ܡܸܢܵܟ݂ ܘܐܵܡܲܪ ܠܵܟ݂ ܕܪ̈ܲܟ̇ܝܼܟ݂ܵܢ.
[23]Whether he schal make couenaunt with thee, and `thou schalt take him a seruaunt euerlastinge? [23]ܡܲܫܲܪ ܥܲܡܵܟ݂ ܩܝܵܡܵܐ. ܐܵܘ ܡܵܢܹ̇ܐ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ ܠܹܗ ܥܲܒ̣ܕܵܐ ܠܥܵܠܲܡ.
[24]Whether thou schalt scorne hym as a brid, ethir schalt bynde hym to thin handmaidis? [24]ܓܵܝ̇ܝܹܟ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ ܥܠܵܘܗܝ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܨܸܦܪܵܐ. ܘܢܵܛܲܪ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ ܠܹܗ ܠܝܵܘ̈ܡܲܝ ܥܠܲܝܡܘܼܬ̣ܵܟ݂.
