| [1]אמינ אמינ אמר אנא לכונ דמנ דלא עאל מנ תרעא לטירא דענא אלא סלק מנ דוכא אחרניא הו גנבא הו וגיסא |
[1]Verily, verily, I say to you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheep-fold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. |
| [2]הו דינ דעאל מנ תרעא רעיא הו דענא |
[2]But he that entereth by the door, is the shepherd of the sheep. |
| [3]ולהנא נטר תרעא פתח לה תרעא וענא שׁמעא קלה וערבוהי קרא בשׁמהיהונ ומפק להונ |
[3]To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. |
| [4]ומא דאפק ענה קדמיה אזל וערבוהי דילה אזלינ בתרה מטל דידעינ קלה |
[4]And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. |
| [5]בתר נוכריא דינ לא אזלא ענא אלא ערקא מנה דלא ידעא קלה דנוכריא |
[5]And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. |
| [6]הדא פלאתא אמר להונ ישׁוע הנונ דינ לא ידעו מנא מלל עמהונ |
[6]This parable spoke Jesus to them: but they understood not what things they were which he spoke to them. |
| [7]אמר להונ דינ תוב ישׁוע אמינ אמינ אמר אנא לכונ דאנא אנא תרעה דענא |
[7]Then said Jesus to them again, Verily, verily, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. |
| [8]וכלהונ אילינ דאתו גנבא אנונ וגיסא אלא לא שׁמעת אנונ ענא |
[8]All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. |
| [9]אנא אנא תרעא ובי אנ אנשׁ נעול נחא ונעול ונפוק ורעיא נשׁכח |
[9]I am the door: by me if any man shall enter he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. |
| [10]גנבא לא אתא אלא דנגנוב ודנקטול ודנובד אנא אתית דחיא נהוונ להונ ומדמ דיתיר נהוא להונ |
[10]The thief cometh not, but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. |
| [11]אנא אנא רעיא טבא ורעיא טבא נפשׁה סאמ חלפ ענה |
[11]I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. |
| [12]אגירא דינ דלא הוא רעיא ולו דילה אנונ ערבא מא דחזא דאבא דאתא שׁבק ענא וערק ואתא דאבא חטפ ומבדר לה לענא |
[12]But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth, and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. |
| [13]אגירא דינ ערק מטל דאגירא הו ולא בטיל לה על ענא |
[13]The hireling fleeth, because he is a hireling, and careth not for the sheep. |
| [14]אנא אנא רעיא טבא וידע אנא לדילי ומתידע אנא מנ דילי |
[14]I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known by mine. |
| [15]איכנא דידע לי אבי ואנא ידע אנא לאבי ונפשׁי סאמ אנא חלפ ענא |
[15]As the Father knoweth me, even so I know the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. |
| [16]אית לי דינ אפ ערבא אחרנא אילינ דלא הוו מנ טירא הנא ואפ להונ ולא לי למיתיו אנונ ונשׁמעונ קלי ותהוא ענא כלה חדא וחד רעיא |
[16]And other sheep I have which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. |
| [17]מטל הנא אבי רחמ לי דאנא סאמ אנא נפשׁי דתוב אסביה |
[17]Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again. |
| [18]לא הוא אנשׁ שׁקל לה מני אלא אנא סאמ לה מנ צביני שׁליט אנא גיר דאסימיה ושׁליט אנא דתוב אסביה דהנא פוקדנא קבלת מנ אבי |
[18]No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received from my Father. |
| [19]והות תוב פלגותא ביני יהודיא מטל מלא הלינ |
[19]There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings. |
| [20]ואמרינ הוו סגיאא מנהונ דדיוא אית לה ומשׁנא שׁנא מנא שׁמעינ אנתונ לה |
[20]And many of them said, He hath a demon, and is insane; why hear ye him? |
| [21]אחרנא דינ אמרינ הוו הלינ מלא לא הוי דדיונא למא דיוא משׁכח עינא דסמיא למפתחו |
[21]Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind? |
| [22]הוא דינ עאדא דחודתא באורשׁלמ וסתוא הוא |
[22]And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter. |
| [23]ומהלכ הוא ישׁוע בהיכלא באסטוא דשׁלימונ |
[23]And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch. |
| [24]וחדרוהי יהודיא ואמרינ לה עדמא לאמתי נסב אנת נפשׁנ אנ אנת הו משׁיחא אמר לנ גליאית |
[24]Then came the Jews around him, and said to him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou art the Christ, tell us plainly. |
| [25]ענא ישׁוע ואמר להונ אמרת לכונ ולא מהימנינ אנתונ ועבדא דאנא עבד אנא בשׁמה דאבי הנונ סהדינ עלי |
[25]Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I did in my Father's name, they testify concerning me. |
| [26]אלא אנתונ לא מהימנינ אנתונ מטל דלא הויתונ מנ ערבי איכנא דאמרת לכונ |
[26]But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said to you. |
| [27]ערבא דילי קלי שׁמעינ ואנא ידע אנא להונ והנונ אתינ בתרי |
[27]My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: |
| [28]ואנא יהב אנא להונ חיא דלעלמ ולא נאבדונ לעלמ ולא אנשׁ נחטופ אנונ מנ אידי |
[28]And I give to them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any pluck them out of my hand. |
| [29]אבי גיר דיהב לי מנ כל רב הו ולא אנשׁ משׁכח דמנ אידה דאבי נחטופ |
[29]My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all; and none is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. |
| [30]אנא ואבי חד חננ |
[30]I and my Father are one. |
| [31]ושׁקלו תוב יהודיא כאפא למרגמה |
[31]Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. |
| [32]אמר להונ ישׁוע סגיאא עבדא שׁפירא מנ לות אבי חויתכונ מטל אינא עבדא מנהונ רגמינ אנתונ לי |
[32]Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shown you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? |
| [33]אמרינ לה יהודיא לא הוא מטל עבדא שׁפירא רגמינ חננ לכ אלא מטל דמגדפ אנת וכד איתיכ ברנשׁא עבד אנת נפשׁכ אלהא |
[33]The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy, and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. |
| [34]אמר להונ ישׁוע לא הוא הכנא כתיב בנמוסכונ דאנא אמרת דאלהא אנתונ |
[34]Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? |
| [35]אנ להנונ אמר אלהא מטל דלותהונ הות מלתא דאלהא ולא משׁכח כתבא דנשׁתרא |
[35]If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; |
| [36]לאינא דאבא קדשׁה ושׁדרה לעלמא אנתונ אמרינ אנתונ דמגדפ אנת על דאמרת לכונ דברה אנא דאלהא |
[36]Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? |
| [37]ואנ לא עבד אנא עבדא דאבי לא תהימנונני |
[37]If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. |
| [38]אנ דינ עבד אנא אפנ לי לא מהימנינ אנתונ להונ לעבדא הימנו דתדעונ ותהימנונ דאבי בי ואנא באבי |
[38]But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in him. |
| [39]ובעו הוו תוב דנאחדוניהי ונפק לה מנ בית אידיהונ |
[39]Therefore they sought again to take him; but he escaped from their hand, |
| [40]ואזל לה לעברא דיורדננ לדוכתא איכא דאיתוהי הוא יוחננ מנ קדימ כד מעמד הוא והוא תמנ |
[40]And went again beyond Jordan, into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode. |
| [41]ואתו אנשׁא סגיאא לותה ואמרינ הוו דיוחננ אפ לא חדא אתא עבד כל מדמ דינ דאמר יוחננ על גברא הנא שׁריר הו |
[41]And many resorted to him, and said, John performed no miracle; but all things that John spoke of this man were true. |
| [42]וסגיאא הימנו בה |
[42]And many believed on him there. |
