[1]And the secod lot came out to Simeon, euen for the tribe of the children of Simeon by their kinreds: And their inheritauce was in the middes of the inheritaunce of the children of Iuda |
[2]eorum in medio possessionis filiorum Juda: Bersabee et Sabee et Molada |
[2]And they had in their inheritaunce, Beersabe, Sabe, and Moladah |
[3]et Hasersual, Bala et Asem |
[3]Hazorsual, Balah, and Azem |
[4]et Eltholad, Bethul et Harma |
[4]Eltholad, Bethul, and Hormah |
[5]et Siceleg et Bethmarchaboth et Hasersusa |
[5]Zikelag, Bethmarcaboth, and Hazetsusah |
[6]et Bethlebaoth et Sarohen: civitates tredecim, et villæ earum. |
[6]Bethlebaoth, & Saruhen, thirteene cities with their villages |
[7]Ain et Remmon et Athar et Asan: civitates quatuor, et villæ earum: |
[7]Ain, Remmon, Ether, & Asan, foure cities with their villages |
[8]omnes viculi per circuitum urbium istarum usque ad Baalath Beer Ramath contra australem plagam. Hæc est hæreditas filiorum Simeon juxta cognationes suas, |
[8]And therto all the villages that were rounde about these cities, euen to Balasah Beer, and Ramath southward. This is the inheritaunce of the tribe of the children of Simeon throughout their kinredes |
[9]in possessione et funiculo filiorum Juda: quia major erat: et idcirco filii Simeon possederunt in medio hæreditatis eorum. |
[9]Out of the lot of the children of Iuda, came the inheritaunce of the children of Simeon: For the part of the children of Iuda was to much for them, and therfore the children of Simeon had their inheritaunce in the inheritaunce of them |
[10]Ceciditque sors tertia filiorum Zabulon per cognationes suas: factus est terminus possessionis eorum usque Sarid. |
[10]And the third lot arose for the childre of Zabulon throughout their kynreds: And the coastes of their inheritaunce came to Sarid |
[11]Ascenditque de mari et Merala, et pervenit in Debbaseth, usque ad torrentem qui est contra Jeconam. |
[11]And went vp westward euen to Maralah, and reached to Dabbaseth, & came thence to the riuer that lyeth before Iokneam |
[12]Et revertitur de Sared contra orientem in fines Ceseleththabor: et egreditur ad Dabereth, ascenditque contra Japhie. |
[12]And turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunne risyng vnto the border of Chisloth Thabor, & then goeth out to Dabereth, and goeth vp to Iaphia |
[13]Et inde pertransit usque ad orientalem plagam Gethepher et Thacasin: et egreditur in Remmon, Amthar et Noa. |
[13]And from thence goeth along eastward to Gethah Hepher, to Itthah Kazin, and goeth to Remmon, and turneth to Neah |
[14]Et circuit ad aquilonem Hanathon: suntque egressus ejus vallis Jephthaël, |
[14]And compasseth it on the north side to Hannathon, and endeth in the valey of Iephthahel |
[15]et Cateth et Naalol et Semeron et Jerala et Bethlehem: civitates duodecim, et villæ earum. |
[15]And Katath, Nahalol, Simeon, Iedalah, and Bethlehem: twelue cities with their villages |
[16]Hæc est hæreditas tribus filiorum Zabulon per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum. |
[16]This is the inheritaunce of the children of Zabulon throughout their kynredes, and these are the cities with their villages |
[17]Issachar egressa est sors quarta per cognationes suas: |
[17]And the fourth lot came out to Isachar, euen for the children of Isachar by their kinreds |
[18]fuitque ejus hæreditas Jezraël et Casaloth et Sunem |
[18]And their coast was Iesraelah, Casuloth, aud Sunem |
[19]et Hapharaim et Seon, et Anaharath |
[19]Hapharaim, Sion, and Anaharath |
[20]et Rabboth et Cesion, Abes, |
[20]Harabith, Kision, and Abez |
[21]et Rameth, et Engannim, et Enhadda et Bethpheses. |
[21]Rameth, Enganim, Enhadah, and Bethphazez |
[22]Et pervenit terminus ejus usque Thabor et Sehesima et Bethsames: eruntque exitus ejus Jordanis: civitates sedecim, et villæ earum. |
[22]And his coast reacheth to Thabor, & Sahazimah, and Bethsames: and endeth at Iordane, syxteene cities with their villages |
[23]Hæc est possessio filiorum Issachar per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum. |
[23]This is the inheritaunce of the tribe of the children of Isachar by their kinreds: and these are the cities with their villages |
[24]Ceciditque sors quinta tribui filiorum Aser per cognationes suas: |
[24]And ye fyfth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Aser by their kinreds |
[25]fuitque terminus eorum Halcath et Chali et Beten et Axaph |
[25]And their coast was, Helkath, Hali, Beten, and Achsap |
[26]et Elmelech et Amaad et Messal: et pervenit usque ad Carmelum maris et Sihor et Labanath. |
[26]Alamelech, Amaad, and Miseal: and came to Carmel westwarde, and to Sihor Libanath |
[27]Ac revertitur contra orientem Bethdagon: et pertransit usque Zabulon et vallem Jephthaël contra aquilonem in Bethemec et Nehiel. Egrediturque ad lævam Cabul, |
[27]And turneth toward the sunne rising to Bethdagon, and commeth to Zabulon, and to the valley of Iephthahel, towarde the north side of Bethemek & Neiel, and goeth out on the lefte side of Cabul |
[28]et Abran et Rohob et Hamon et Cana, usque ad Sidonem magnam. |
[28]And to Hebron, Rohob, Hammon, and Kanah, euen vnto great Sidon |
[29]Revertiturque in Horma usque ad civitatem munitissimam Tyrum, et usque Hosa: eruntque exitus ejus in mare de funiculo Achziba: |
[29]And then the coast turneth to Ramah & to the strong citie of Zor, and turneth to Hozah, & endeth at the sea, by the possession of Achzibah |
[30]et Amma et Aphec et Rohob: civitates viginti duæ, et villæ earum. |
[30]Amah also, and Aphek, and Rohob: twentie and two cities with their villages |
[31]Hæc est possessio filiorum Aser per cognationes suas, urbesque et viculi earum. |
[31]This is the inheritaunce of the children of Aser by their kinreds: these are the cities with their villages |
[32]Filiorum Nephthali sexta sors cecidit per familias suas: |
[32]And the syxth lot came out to the children of Nephthali [euen] to the childre of Nephthali by their kinredes |
[33]et cœpit terminus de Heleph et Elon in Saananim, et Adami, quæ est Neceb, et Jebnaël usque Lecum: et egressus eorum usque ad Jordanem: |
[33]And their coast was from Heleph, and from Elon to Zacnanim, Adami Nekeb, and Iabneel, euen to Lakum, and doth go out at Iordane |
[34]revertiturque terminus contra occidentem in Azanotthabor, atque inde egreditur in Hucuca, et pertransit in Zabulon contra meridiem, et in Aser contra occidentem, et in Juda ad Jordanem contra ortum solis: |
[34]And then the coast turneth westward to Asanoth Thabor, & then goeth out from thence to Hukokah, and reacheth to Zabulon on the south side, and goeth to Aser on the west side, and to Iuda vpon Iordane toward the sunne risyng |
[35]civitates munitissimæ, Assedim, Ser, et Emath, et Reccath et Cenereth, |
[35]And their strong cities are Ziddim, Zer, Hamath, Raccath, & Cenereth |
[36]et Edema et Arama, Asor |
[36]Adamah, Ramah, and Hazor |
[37]et Cedes et Edrai, Enhasor, |
[37]Kedes, Edrai, and Enhazor |
[38]et Jeron et Magdalel, Horem et Bethanath et Bethsames: civitates decem et novem, et villæ earum. |
[38]Ieron, Magdalel, Horem, Bethanah and Bethsames, ninteene cities with their villages |
[39]Hæc est possessio tribus filiorum Nephthali per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum. |
[39]This is the inheritaunce of the tribe of the children of Nephthali by their kynredes: these also are the cities and their villages |
[40]Tribui filiorum Dan per familias suas egressa est sors septima: |
[40]And the seuenth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Dan by their kinredes |
[41]et fuit terminus possessionis ejus Sara et Esthaol, et Hirsemes, id est, civitas solis. |
[41]And the coast of their inheritaunce was, Zaraah, Esthaol, Irsemes |
[42]Selebin et Ajalon et Jethela, |
[42]Saelabin, Aialon, Iethlah |
[43]Elon et Themna et Acron, |
[43]Elon, and Themnathah, and Akron |
[44]Elthece, Gebbethon et Balaath, |
[44]Elthekeh, Gibbethon, and Baalath |
[45]et Jud et Bane et Barach et Gethremmon: |
[45]Iehud, Banebarac, & Gathrimon |
[46]et Mejarcon et Arecon, cum termino qui respicit Joppen, |
[46]Meiercon, and Arecon, with the border that lyeth before Iapho |
[47]et ipso fine concluditur. Ascenderuntque filii Dan, et pugnaverunt contra Lesem, ceperuntque eam: et percusserunt eam in ore gladii, et possederunt, et habitaverunt in ea, vocantes nomen ejus Lesem Dan, ex nomine Dan patris sui. |
[47]And the coastes of the childre of Dan went out from them: And the children of Dan went vp to fyght against Lesem, and toke it, and smote it with ye edge of the sworde, & conquered it, and dwelt therin, and called it Dan, after the name of Dan their father |
[48]Hæc est possessio tribus filiorum Dan, per cognationes suas, urbes et viculi earum. |
[48]This is the inheritaunce of the tribe of the childre of Dan in theyr kinredes: these also are the cities, with their villages |
[49]Cumque complesset sorte dividere terram singulis per tribus suas, dederunt filii Israël possessionem Josue filio Nun in medio sui, |
[49]When they had made an ende of deuiding the lande by her coastes, the children of Israel gaue an inheritaunce to Iosuah the sonne of Nun among the |
[50]juxta præceptum Domini, urbem quam postulavit Thamnath Saraa in monte Ephraim: et ædificavit civitatem, habitavitque in ea. |
[50]According to the worde of the Lorde they gaue hym the citie whiche he asked, euen Thimnath Serah in mount Ephraim: and he buylt the citie, & dwelt therin |
[51]Hæ sunt possessiones, quas sorte diviserunt Eleazar sacerdos, et Josue filius Nun, et principes familiarum ac tribuum filiorum Israël in Silo, coram Domino ad ostium tabernaculi testimonii, partitique sunt terram. |
[51]These are the inheritaunces whiche Eleazar the priest, & Iosuah the sonne of Nun, and the auncient fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel deuided by lot in Silo before the Lorde at the doore of the tabernacle of the congregation: and so they made an ende of deuidyng the countrey |
