| [2]παραλαβὼν ἄνδρας ἀπὸ τοῦ λαοῦ ἕνα ἀφ ἑκάστης φυλῆς |
[2]TakeH3947[H8798] you twelveH8147[H6240] menH582 out of the peopleH5971, out of everyH259 tribeH7626 a manH376, |
| [3]σύνταξον αὐτοῖς λέγων ἀνέλεσθε ἐκ μέσου τοῦ ιορδάνου ἑτοίμους δώδεκα λίθους καὶ τούτους διακομίσαντες ἅμα ὑμῖν αὐτοῖς θέτε αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ στρατοπεδείᾳ ὑμῶν οὗ ἐὰν παρεμβάλητε ἐκεῖ τὴν νύκτα |
[3]And commandH6680[H8761] ye them, sayingH559[H8800], TakeH5375[H8798] you hence out of the midstH8432 of JordanH3383, out of the place where the priests'H3548 feetH7272 stoodH4673 firmH3559[H8687], twelveH8147[H6240] stonesH68, and ye shall carry them overH5674[H8689] with you, and leaveH3240[H8689] them in the lodging placeH4411, where ye shall lodgeH3885[H8799] this nightH3915. |
| [4]καὶ ἀνακαλεσάμενος ἰησοῦς δώδεκα ἄνδρας τῶν ἐνδόξων ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν ισραηλ ἕνα ἀφ ἑκάστης φυλῆς |
[4]Then JoshuaH3091 calledH7121[H8799] the twelveH8147[H6240] menH376, whom he had preparedH3559[H8689] of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, out of everyH259 tribeH7626 a manH376: |
| [5]εἶπεν αὐτοῖς προσαγάγετε ἔμπροσθέν μου πρὸ προσώπου κυρίου εἰς μέσον τοῦ ιορδάνου καὶ ἀνελόμενος ἐκεῖθεν ἕκαστος λίθον ἀράτω ἐπὶ τῶν ὤμων αὐτοῦ κατὰ τὸν ἀριθμὸν τῶν δώδεκα φυλῶν τοῦ ισραηλ |
[5]And JoshuaH3091 saidH559[H8799] unto them, Pass overH5674[H8798] beforeH6440 the arkH727 of the LORDH3068 your GodH430 into the midstH8432 of JordanH3383, and take ye upH7311[H8685] everyH259 manH376 of you a stoneH68 upon his shoulderH7926, according unto the numberH4557 of the tribesH7626 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478: |
| [6]ἵνα ὑπάρχωσιν ὑμῖν οὗτοι εἰς σημεῖον κείμενον διὰ παντός ἵνα ὅταν ἐρωτᾷ σε ὁ υἱός σου αὔριον λέγων τί εἰσιν οἱ λίθοι οὗτοι ὑμῖν |
[6]That this may be a signH226 amongH7130 you, that when your childrenH1121 askH7592[H8799] their fathers in time to comeH4279, sayingH559[H8800], What mean ye by these stonesH68? |
| [7]καὶ σὺ δηλώσεις τῷ υἱῷ σου λέγων ὅτι ἐξέλιπεν ὁ ιορδάνης ποταμὸς ἀπὸ προσώπου κιβωτοῦ διαθήκης κυρίου πάσης τῆς γῆς ὡς διέβαινεν αὐτόν καὶ ἔσονται οἱ λίθοι οὗτοι ὑμῖν μνημόσυνον τοῖς υἱοῖς ισραηλ ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος |
[7]Then ye shall answerH559[H8804] them, That the watersH4325 of JordanH3383 were cut offH3772[H8738] beforeH6440 the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of the LORDH3068; when it passed overH5674[H8800] JordanH3383, the watersH4325 of JordanH3383 were cut offH3772[H8738]: and these stonesH68 shall be for a memorialH2146 unto the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 forH5704 everH5769. |
| [8]καὶ ἐποίησαν οὕτως οἱ υἱοὶ ισραηλ καθότι ἐνετείλατο κύριος τῷ ἰησοῖ καὶ λαβόντες δώδεκα λίθους ἐκ μέσου τοῦ ιορδάνου καθάπερ συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ ἰησοῖ ἐν τῇ συντελείᾳ τῆς διαβάσεως τῶν υἱῶν ισραηλ καὶ διεκόμισαν ἅμα ἑαυτοῖς εἰς τὴν παρεμβολὴν καὶ ἀπέθηκαν ἐκεῖ |
[8]And the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 didH6213[H8799] so as JoshuaH3091 commandedH6680[H8765], and took upH5375[H8799] twelveH8147[H6240] stonesH68 out of the midstH8432 of JordanH3383, as the LORDH3068 spakeH1696[H8765] unto JoshuaH3091, according to the numberH4557 of the tribesH7626 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, and carried them overH5674[H8686] with them unto the place where they lodgedH4411, and laid them downH3240 thereH8686. |
| [9]ἔστησεν δὲ ἰησοῦς καὶ ἄλλους δώδεκα λίθους ἐν αὐτῷ τῷ ιορδάνῃ ἐν τῷ γενομένῳ τόπῳ ὑπὸ τοὺς πόδας τῶν ἱερέων τῶν αἰρόντων τὴν κιβωτὸν τῆς διαθήκης κυρίου καί εἰσιν ἐκεῖ ἕως τῆς σήμερον ἡμέρας |
[9]And JoshuaH3091 set upH6965[H8689] twelveH8147[H6240] stonesH68 in the midstH8432 of JordanH3383, in the place where the feetH7272 of the priestsH3548 which bareH5375[H8802] the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 stoodH4673: and they are there unto this dayH3117. |
| [10]εἱστήκεισαν δὲ οἱ ἱερεῖς οἱ αἴροντες τὴν κιβωτὸν τῆς διαθήκης ἐν τῷ ιορδάνῃ ἕως οὗ συνετέλεσεν ἰησοῦς πάντα ἃ ἐνετείλατο κύριος ἀναγγεῖλαι τῷ λαῷ καὶ ἔσπευσεν ὁ λαὸς καὶ διέβησαν |
[10]For the priestsH3548 which bareH5375[H8802] the arkH727 stoodH5975[H8802] in the midstH8432 of JordanH3383, until every thingH1697 was finishedH8552[H8800] that the LORDH3068 commandedH6680[H8765] JoshuaH3091 to speakH1696[H8763] unto the peopleH5971, according to all that MosesH4872 commandedH6680[H8765] JoshuaH3091: and the peopleH5971 hastedH4116[H8762] and passed overH5674.[H8799] |
| [11]καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς συνετέλεσεν πᾶς ὁ λαὸς διαβῆναι καὶ διέβη ἡ κιβωτὸς τῆς διαθήκης κυρίου καὶ οἱ λίθοι ἔμπροσθεν αὐτῶν |
[11]And it came to pass, when all the peopleH5971 were cleanH8552[H8804] passed overH5674[H8800], that the arkH727 of the LORDH3068 passed overH5674[H8799], and the priestsH3548, in the presenceH6440 of the peopleH5971. |
| [12]καὶ διέβησαν οἱ υἱοὶ ρουβην καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ γαδ καὶ οἱ ἡμίσεις φυλῆς μανασση διεσκευασμένοι ἔμπροσθεν τῶν υἱῶν ισραηλ καθάπερ ἐνετείλατο αὐτοῖς μωυσῆς |
[12]And the childrenH1121 of ReubenH7205, and the childrenH1121 of GadH1410, and halfH2677 the tribeH7626 of ManassehH4519, passed overH5674[H8799] armedH2571 beforeH6440 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, as MosesH4872 spakeH1696 unto themH8765: |
| [13]τετρακισμύριοι εὔζωνοι εἰς μάχην διέβησαν ἐναντίον κυρίου εἰς πόλεμον πρὸς τὴν ιεριχω πόλιν |
[13]About fortyH705 thousandH505 preparedH2502[H8803] for warH6635 passed overH5674[H8804] beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 unto battleH4421, to the plainsH6160 of JerichoH3405. |
| [14]ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ηὔξησεν κύριος τὸν ἰησοῦν ἐναντίον παντὸς τοῦ γένους ισραηλ καὶ ἐφοβοῦντο αὐτὸν ὥσπερ μωυσῆν ὅσον χρόνον ἔζη |
[14]On that dayH3117 the LORDH3068 magnifiedH1431[H8765] JoshuaH3091 in the sightH5869 of all IsraelH3478; and they fearedH3372[H8799] him, as they fearedH3372[H8804] MosesH4872, all the daysH3117 of his lifeH2416. |
| [15]καὶ εἶπεν κύριος τῷ ἰησοῖ λέγων |
[15]And the LORDH3068 spakeH559[H8799] unto JoshuaH3091, sayingH559,[H8800] |
| [16]ἔντειλαι τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν τοῖς αἴρουσιν τὴν κιβωτὸν τῆς διαθήκης τοῦ μαρτυρίου κυρίου ἐκβῆναι ἐκ τοῦ ιορδάνου |
[16]CommandH6680[H8761] the priestsH3548 that bearH5375[H8802] the arkH727 of the testimonyH5715, that they come upH5927[H8799] out of JordanH3383. |
| [17]καὶ ἐνετείλατο ἰησοῦς τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν λέγων ἔκβητε ἐκ τοῦ ιορδάνου |
[17]JoshuaH3091 therefore commandedH6680[H8762] the priestsH3548, sayingH559[H8800], Come ye upH5927[H8798] out of JordanH3383. |
| [18]καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἐξέβησαν οἱ ἱερεῖς οἱ αἴροντες τὴν κιβωτὸν τῆς διαθήκης κυρίου ἐκ τοῦ ιορδάνου καὶ ἔθηκαν τοὺς πόδας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ὥρμησεν τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ ιορδάνου κατὰ χώραν καὶ ἐπορεύετο καθὰ ἐχθὲς καὶ τρίτην ἡμέραν δι ὅλης τῆς κρηπῖδος |
[18]And it came to pass, when the priestsH3548 that bareH5375[H8802] the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of the LORDH3068 were come upH5927[H8800] out of the midstH8432 of JordanH3383, and the solesH3709 of the priests'H3548 feetH7272 were lifted upH5423[H8738] unto the dry landH2724, that the watersH4325 of JordanH3383 returnedH7725[H8799] unto their placeH4725, and flowedH3212[H8799] over all his banksH1415, asH8543 they did beforeH8032. |
| [19]καὶ ὁ λαὸς ἀνέβη ἐκ τοῦ ιορδάνου δεκάτῃ τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ πρώτου καὶ κατεστρατοπέδευσαν οἱ υἱοὶ ισραηλ ἐν γαλγαλοις κατὰ μέρος τὸ πρὸς ἡλίου ἀνατολὰς ἀπὸ τῆς ιεριχω |
[19]And the peopleH5971 came upH5927[H8804] out of JordanH3383 on the tenthH6218 day of the firstH7223 monthH2320, and encampedH2583[H8799] in GilgalH1537, in the eastH4217 borderH7097 of JerichoH3405. |
| [20]καὶ τοὺς δώδεκα λίθους τούτους οὓς ἔλαβεν ἐκ τοῦ ιορδάνου ἔστησεν ἰησοῦς ἐν γαλγαλοις |
[20]And those twelveH8147[H6240] stonesH68, which they took outH3947[H8804] of JordanH3383, did JoshuaH3091 pitchH6965[H8689] in GilgalH1537. |
| [21]λέγων ὅταν ἐρωτῶσιν ὑμᾶς οἱ υἱοὶ ὑμῶν λέγοντες τί εἰσιν οἱ λίθοι οὗτοι |
[21]And he spakeH559[H8799] unto the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559[H8800], When your childrenH1121 shall askH7592[H8799] their fathersH1 in time to comeH4279, sayingH559[H8800], What mean these stonesH68? |
| [22]ἀναγγείλατε τοῖς υἱοῖς ὑμῶν ὅτι ἐπὶ ξηρᾶς διέβη ισραηλ τὸν ιορδάνην |
[22]Then ye shall let your childrenH1121 knowH3045[H8689], sayingH559[H8800], IsraelH3478 came overH5674[H8804] this JordanH3383 on dry landH3004. |
| [23]ἀποξηράναντος κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν τὸ ὕδωρ τοῦ ιορδάνου ἐκ τοῦ ἔμπροσθεν αὐτῶν μέχρι οὗ διέβησαν καθάπερ ἐποίησεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν τὴν ἐρυθρὰν θάλασσαν ἣν ἀπεξήρανεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν ἔμπροσθεν ἡμῶν ἕως παρήλθομεν |
[23]For the LORDH3068 your GodH430 dried upH3001[H8689] the watersH4325 of JordanH3383 from beforeH6440 you, until ye were passed overH5674[H8800], as the LORDH3068 your GodH430 didH6213[H8804] to the RedH5488 seaH3220, which he dried upH3001[H8689] from beforeH6440 us, until we were gone overH5674:[H8800] |
| [24]ὅπως γνῶσιν πάντα τὰ ἔθνη τῆς γῆς ὅτι ἡ δύναμις τοῦ κυρίου ἰσχυρά ἐστιν καὶ ἵνα ὑμεῖς σέβησθε κύριον τὸν θεὸν ὑμῶν ἐν παντὶ χρόνῳ |
[24]That all the peopleH5971 of the earthH776 might knowH3045[H8800] the handH3027 of the LORDH3068, that it is mightyH2389: that ye might fearH3372[H8804] the LORDH3068 your GodH430 for everH3117. |
