| [1]μετα δε ταυτα ανεδειξεν ο κυριος ετερους εβδομηκοντα [δυο] και απεστειλεν αυτους ανα δυο [δυο] προ προσωπου αυτου εις πασαν πολιν και τοπον ου ημελλεν αυτος ερχεσθαι |
[1]After these things, the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them, two and two before him into every city and place, whether he himself should come. |
| [2]ελεγεν δε προς αυτους ο μεν θερισμος πολυς οι δε εργαται ολιγοι δεηθητε ουν του κυριου του θερισμου οπως εργατας εκβαλη εις τον θερισμον αυτου |
[2]And he said unto them, The harvest is great, but the laborers are few: pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers into his harvest. |
| [3]υπαγετε ιδου αποστελλω υμας ως αρνας εν μεσω λυκων |
[3]Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. |
| [4]μη βασταζετε βαλλαντιον μη πηραν μη υποδηματα και μηδενα κατα την οδον ασπασησθε |
[4]Bear no bag, neither script, nor shoes, and salute no man by the way. |
| [5]εις ην δ αν εισελθητε οικιαν πρωτον λεγετε ειρηνη τω οικω τουτω |
[5]And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. |
| [6]και εαν εκει η υιος ειρηνης επαναπαησεται επ αυτον η ειρηνη υμων ει δε μη γε εφ υμας ανακαμψει |
[6]And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon him: if not, it shall turn to you again. |
| [7]εν αυτη δε τη οικια μενετε εσθιοντες και πινοντες τα παρ αυτων αξιος γαρ ο εργατης του μισθου αυτου μη μεταβαινετε εξ οικιας εις οικιαν |
[7]And in that house tarry still eating, and drinking such things as by them shall be set before you: for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Go not from house to house. |
| [8]και εις ην αν πολιν εισερχησθε και δεχωνται υμας εσθιετε τα παρατιθεμενα υμιν |
[8]But into whatsoever city ye shall enter, if they receive you, eat such things as are set before you, |
| [9]και θεραπευετε τους εν αυτη ασθενεις και λεγετε αυτοις ηγγικεν εφ υμας η βασιλεια του θεου |
[9]And heal the sick that are there, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come near unto you. |
| [10]εις ην δ αν πολιν εισελθητε και μη δεχωνται υμας εξελθοντες εις τας πλατειας αυτης ειπατε |
[10]But into whatsoever city ye shall enter, if they will not receive you, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, |
| [11]και τον κονιορτον τον κολληθεντα ημιν εκ της πολεως υμων εις τους ποδας απομασσομεθα υμιν πλην τουτο γινωσκετε οτι ηγγικεν η βασιλεια του θεου |
[11]Even the very dust, which cleaveth on us of your city, we wipe off against you: notwithstanding know this, that the kingdom of God was come near unto you. |
| [12]λεγω υμιν οτι σοδομοις εν τη ημερα εκεινη ανεκτοτερον εσται η τη πολει εκεινη |
[12]For I say to you, that it shall be easier in that day for them of Sodom, than for that city. |
| [13]ουαι σοι χοραζιν ουαι σοι βηθσαιδα οτι ει εν τυρω και σιδωνι εγενηθησαν αι δυναμεις αι γενομεναι εν υμιν παλαι αν εν σακκω και σποδω καθημενοι μετενοησαν |
[13]Woe be to thee, Chorazin: woe be to thee, Bethsaida: for if the miracles had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. |
| [14]πλην τυρω και σιδωνι ανεκτοτερον εσται εν τη κρισει η υμιν |
[14]Therefore it shall be easier for Tyre, and Sidon, at the judgment, than for you. |
| [15]και συ καφαρναουμ μη εως ουρανου υψωθηση εως του αδου καταβηση |
[15]And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell. |
| [16]ο ακουων υμων εμου ακουει και ο αθετων υμας εμε αθετει ο δε εμε αθετων αθετει τον αποστειλαντα με |
[16] He that heareth you, heareth me: and he that despiseth you, despiseth me: and he that despiseth me, despiseth him that sent me. |
| [17]υπεστρεψαν δε οι εβδομηκοντα [δυο] μετα χαρας λεγοντες κυριε και τα δαιμονια υποτασσεται ημιν εν τω ονοματι σου |
[17] And the seventy turned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subdued to us through thy Name. |
| [18]ειπεν δε αυτοις εθεωρουν τον σαταναν ως αστραπην εκ του ουρανου πεσοντα |
[18]And he said unto them, I saw Satan, like lightening, fall down from heaven. |
| [19]ιδου δεδωκα υμιν την εξουσιαν του πατειν επανω οφεων και σκορπιων και επι πασαν την δυναμιν του εχθρου και ουδεν υμας ου μη αδικησει αδικηση |
[19]Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents, and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. |
| [20]πλην εν τουτω μη χαιρετε οτι τα πνευματα υμιν υποτασσεται χαιρετε δε οτι τα ονοματα υμων εγγεγραπται εν τοις ουρανοις |
[20]Nevertheless, in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subdued unto you: but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. |
| [21]εν αυτη τη ωρα ηγαλλιασατο [εν] τω πνευματι τω αγιω και ειπεν εξομολογουμαι σοι πατερ κυριε του ουρανου και της γης οτι απεκρυψας ταυτα απο σοφων και συνετων και απεκαλυψας αυτα νηπιοις ναι ο πατηρ οτι ουτως ευδοκια εγενετο εμπροσθεν σου |
[21] That same hour rejoiced Jesus in the spirit, and said, I confess unto thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and learned, and hast revealed them to babes: even so, Father, because it so pleased thee. |
| [22]παντα μοι παρεδοθη υπο του πατρος μου και ουδεις γινωσκει τις εστιν ο υιος ει μη ο πατηρ και τις εστιν ο πατηρ ει μη ο υιος και ω εαν βουληται ο υιος αποκαλυψαι |
[22]Then he turned to his disciples, and said, All things are given me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father: neither who the Father is, save the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him. |
| [23]και στραφεις προς τους μαθητας κατ ιδιαν ειπεν μακαριοι οι οφθαλμοι οι βλεποντες α βλεπετε |
[23] And he returned to his disciples, and said secretly, Blessed are the eyes, which see that ye see. |
| [24]λεγω γαρ υμιν οτι πολλοι προφηται και βασιλεις ηθελησαν ιδειν α υμεις βλεπετε και ουκ ειδαν και ακουσαι α ακουετε και ουκ ηκουσαν |
[24]For I tell you that many Prophets and Kings have desired to see those things, which ye see, and have not seen them: and to hear those things, which ye hear, and have not heard them. |
| [25]και ιδου νομικος τις ανεστη εκπειραζων αυτον λεγων διδασκαλε τι ποιησας ζωην αιωνιον κληρονομησω |
[25] Then behold, a certain expounder of the Law stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do, to inherit eternal life? |
| [26]ο δε ειπεν προς αυτον εν τω νομω τι γεγραπται πως-I αναγινωσκεις |
[26]And he said unto him, What is written in the Law? How readest thou? |
| [27]ο δε αποκριθεις ειπεν αγαπησεις κυριον τον θεον σου εξ ολης [της] καρδιας σου και εν ολη τη ψυχη σου και εν ολη τη ισχυι σου και εν ολη τη διανοια σου και τον πλησιον σου ως σεαυτον |
[27]And he answered, and said, Thou shalt love thy Lord God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy thought, and thy neighbor as thyself. |
| [28]ειπεν δε αυτω ορθως απεκριθης τουτο ποιει και ζηση |
[28]Then he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. |
| [29]ο δε θελων δικαιωσαι εαυτον ειπεν προς τον ιησουν και τις εστιν μου πλησιον |
[29]But he willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, Who is then my neighbor? |
| [30]υπολαβων ο ιησους ειπεν ανθρωπος τις κατεβαινεν απο ιερουσαλημ εις ιεριχω και λησταις περιεπεσεν οι και εκδυσαντες αυτον και πληγας επιθεντες απηλθον αφεντες ημιθανη |
[30]And Jesus answered, and said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, and they robbed him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. |
| [31]κατα συγκυριαν δε ιερευς τις κατεβαινεν [εν] εν τη οδω εκεινη και ιδων αυτον αντιπαρηλθεν |
[31]And by chance there came down a certain Priest that same way, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. |
| [32]ομοιως δε και λευιτης [γενομενος] κατα τον τοπον ελθων και ιδων αντιπαρηλθεν |
[32]And likewise also a Levite, when he was come near to the place, went and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. |
| [33]σαμαριτης δε τις οδευων ηλθεν κατ αυτον και ιδων εσπλαγχνισθη |
[33]Then a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came near unto him, and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, |
| [34]και προσελθων κατεδησεν τα τραυματα αυτου επιχεων ελαιον και οινον επιβιβασας δε αυτον επι το ιδιον κτηνος ηγαγεν αυτον εις πανδοχειον και επεμεληθη αυτου |
[34]And went to him, and bound up his wounds, and poured in oil and wine, and put him on his own beast, and brought him to an Inn, and made provision for him. |
| [35]και επι την αυριον εκβαλων δυο δηναρια εδωκεν εδωκεν δυο δηναρια τω πανδοχει και ειπεν επιμεληθητι αυτου και ο τι αν προσδαπανησης εγω εν τω επανερχεσθαι με αποδωσω σοι |
[35]And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him, and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will recompense thee. |
| [36]τις τουτων των τριων πλησιον δοκει σοι γεγονεναι του εμπεσοντος εις τους ληστας |
[36]Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbor unto him that fell among the thieves? |
| [37]ο δε ειπεν ο ποιησας το ελεος μετ αυτου ειπεν δε αυτω [ο] ο ιησους πορευου και συ ποιει ομοιως |
[37]And he said, He that showed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise. |
| [38]εν δε τω πορευεσθαι αυτους αυτος εισηλθεν εις κωμην τινα γυνη δε τις ονοματι μαρθα υπεδεξατο αυτον εις την οικιαν |
[38] Now it came to pass as they went, that he entered into a certain town, and a certain woman named Martha, received him into her house. |
| [39]και τηδε ην αδελφη καλουμενη μαριαμ [η] και παρακαθεσθεισα προς τους ποδας του κυριου ηκουεν τον λογον αυτου |
[39]And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his preaching. |
| [40]η δε μαρθα περιεσπατο περι πολλην διακονιαν επιστασα δε ειπεν κυριε ου μελει σοι οτι η αδελφη μου μονην με κατελειπεν διακονειν ειπον κατελιπεν διακονειν ειπε ουν αυτη ινα μοι συναντιλαβηται |
[40]But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Master, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore, that she help me. |
| [41]αποκριθεις δε ειπεν αυτη ο κυριος μαρθα μαρθα μεριμνας και θορυβαζη περι πολλα |
[41]And Jesus answered, and said unto her, Martha, Martha, Thou carest, and art troubled about many things: |
| [42]ολιγων δε εστιν χρεια η ενος ενος δε εστιν χρεια μαριαμ γαρ την αγαθην μεριδα εξελεξατο ητις ουκ αφαιρεθησεται αυτης |
[42]But one thing is needful, Mary hath chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her. |
