Tregelles GNT
[1]And it was that when He was praying in a place certain when He had finished said to Him one of His disciples our Lord teach us to pray Just as that also Yokhanan taught his disciples [1]Καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ εἶναι αὐτὸν ἐν τόπῳ τινὶ προσευχόμενον, ὡς ἐπαύσατο, εἶπέν τις τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ πρὸς αὐτόν, Κύριε, δίδαξον ἡμᾶς προσεύχεσθαι, καθὼς καὶ Ἰωάνης ἐδίδαξεν τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ.
[2]Said to them Ieshu when pray you thus you shall be saying our Father Who are in heaven
[3]Hallowed be Your Name let come Your Kingdom let be done Your will as that in Heaven also in the earth give to us the bread of our need every day [3]τὸν ἄρτον ἡμῶν τὸν ἐπιούσιον δίδου ἡμῖν τὸ καθ᾽ ἡμέραν·
[4]And forgive to us our sins even we for we forgive all who are indebted to us and not lead us to temptation but save us from the evil one [4]καὶ ἄφες ἡμῖν τὰς ἁμαρτίας ἡμῶν, καὶ γὰρ αὐτοὶ ἀφίομεν παντὶ ὀφείλοντι ἡμῖν· καὶ μὴ εἰσενέγκῃς ἡμᾶς εἰς πειρασμόν.
[5]And He said to them who is? among you who has to him a friend and will go to him at mid- -night and will say to him my friend lend me three loaves [5]Καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς, Τίς ἐξ ὑμῶν ἕξει φίλον, καὶ πορεύσεται πρὸς αὐτὸν μεσονυκτίου καὶ εἴπῃ αὐτῷ, Φίλε, χρῆσόν μοι τρεῖς ἄρτους,
[6]Because a friend has come to me from the road and there is not to me anything that I may set before him [6]ἐπειδὴ φίλος μου παρεγένετο ἐξ ὁδοῦ πρός με, καὶ οὐκ ἔχω ὃ παραθήσω αὐτῷ·
[7]And he his friend from within will answer and will say to him not disturb me for behold the door bolted is and my children with me in bed not can I arise and give to you
[8]Say I to you that if because of friendship not he will give to him because of his persistence he will arise and he will give to him as much as he needs to him
[9]Also I saying am to you ask and it shall be given to you seek and you shall find knock and it will be opened to you [9]κἀγὼ ὑμῖν λέγω, Αἰτεῖτε, καὶ δοθήσεται ὑμῖν· ζητεῖτε, καὶ εὑρήσετε· κρούετε, καὶ ἀνοιγήσεται ὑμῖν.
[10]Everyone for who asks receives and whoever seeks finds and whoever knocks it is opened to him [10]πᾶς γὰρ ὁ αἰτῶν λαμβάνει, καὶ ὁ ζητῶν εὑρίσκει, καὶ τῷ κρούοντι ἀνοιγήσεται.
[11]Which? for of you is a father will ask him whose son for bread will? a stone he hand him and if a fish he will ask of him will? instead of a fish a snake he hand him [11]τίνα δὲ ἐξ ὑμῶν τὸν πατέρα αἰτήσει ὁ υἱὸς ἄρτον, μὴ λίθον ἐπιδώσει αὐτῷ; ἢ καὶ ἰχθύν, μὴ ἀντὶ ἰχθύος ὄφιν αὐτῷ ἐπιδώσει;
[12]And if an egg he would ask of him would? he a scorpion hand him [12]ἢ καὶ αἰτήσει ὠόν, μὴ ἐπιδώσει αὐτῷ σκορπίον;
[13]And if you who evil are knowing you are gifts good to give to your children how much? more your Father from Heaven will give the Spirit of Holiness to those who ask Him [13]εἰ οὖν ὑμεῖς πονηροὶ ὑπάρχοντες οἴδατε δόματα ἀγαθὰ διδόναι τοῖς τέκνοις ὑμῶν, πόσῳ μᾶλλον ὁ πατὴρ ὁ ἐξ οὐρανοῦ δώσει πνεῦμα ἅγιον τοῖς αἰτοῦσιν αὐτόν.
[14]And when He was casting out a demon that was making mute it was that when went out that demon spoke that mute and were astonished the crowds [14]Καὶ ἦν ἐκβάλλων δαιμόνιον [καὶ αὐτὸ ἦν] κωφόν· ἐγένετο δὲ τοῦ δαιμονίου ἐξελθόντος, ἐλάλησεν ὁ κωφός· καὶ ἐθαύμασαν οἱ ὄχλοι.
[15]Men but among them said by Beelzebub the chief of devils exorcizes This One devils
[16]Others but then were testing Him a sign from Heaven asking they were Him [16]ἕτεροι δὲ πειράζοντες σημεῖον ἐξ οὐρανοῦ ἐζήτουν παρ᾽ αὐτοῦ.
[17]Ieshu but because knew He their thoughts He said to them every realm that is divided against itself will be laid waste and a home that against its nature is divided falls
[18]And if Satan against himself is divided how? will stand his kingdom for say you that by Beelzebub cast out I devils [18]εἰ δὲ καὶ ὁ σατανᾶς ἐφ᾽ ἑαυτὸν διεμερίσθη, πῶς σταθήσεται ἡ βασιλεία αὐτοῦ; ὅτι λέγετε ἐν Βεελζεβοὺλ ἐκβάλλειν με τὰ δαιμόνια.
[19]And if I by Beelzebub exorcizing am devils your children by whom? are they exorcizing because of this they will be to you judges [19]εἰ δὲ ἐγὼ ἐν Βεελζεβοὺλ ἐκβάλλω τὰ δαιμόνια, οἱ υἱοὶ ὑμῶν ἐν τίνι ἐκβάλλουσιν; διὰ τοῦτο αὐτοὶ κριταὶ ὑμῶν ἔσονται.
[20]If but by the finger of Alaha cast out I devils has come near it unto you the Kingdom of Alaha [20]εἰ δὲ ἐν δακτύλῳ θεοῦ [ἐγὼ] ἐκβάλλω τὰ δαιμόνια, ἄρα ἔφθασεν ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ.
[21]Whenever a strong man while armed keeps his homestead in peace is his property
[22]If but will come one who is stronger than he to overpower him all his weapons takes he in which trusting he was on them and his spoil he divides
[23]Whoever not was with Me against Me is and whoever not gathers with Me to scatter is scattering [23]ὁ μὴ ὢν μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ κατ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἐστίν, καὶ ὁ μὴ συνάγων μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ σκορπίζει.
[24]A spirit vile whenever it has gone out from a son of man it goes traveling around in places of which water there is not in them to seek for it rest and whenever not it finds it says I shall return to my house from where I came out
[25]And if it comes it finds it swept and decorated [25]καὶ ἐλθὸν εὑρίσκει σεσαρωμένον καὶ κεκοσμημένον.
[26]Then it goes bringing seven spirits other which are more evil than it and are entering and dwelling there and shall be the end of son of man that worse than his beginning
[27]And while these things speaking He was raised woman one her voice from the crowd and she said to Him its blessing to the womb that carried You and to the breasts that suckled You
[28]Said to her He their blessing to those who have heard the word of Alaha and keep it [28]αὐτὸς δὲ εἶπεν, Μενοῦν μακάριοι οἱ ἀκούοντες τὸν λόγον τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ φυλάσσοντες.
[29]And when assembling were the crowds He began to say generation this wicked a sign seeks and a sign not shall be given to it but the sign of Yonan the prophet [29]Τῶν δὲ ὄχλων ἐπαθροιζομένων ἤρξατο λέγειν, Ἡ γενεὰ αὕτη γενεὰ πονηρά ἐστιν· σημεῖον ζητεῖ, καὶ σημεῖον οὐ δοθήσεται αὐτῇ, εἰ μὴ τὸ σημεῖον Ἰωνᾶ.
[30]Just as for was Yonan a sign to the Ninevites thus shall be also The Son of Man to generation this
[31]The queen of the south shall stand in judgment with the people of generation this and she shall condemn them for she came from the far side of the land that she might hear the wisdom of Solomon and behold He Who is greater than Solomon is here
[32]The men the Ninevites will rise in judgment with generation this and they shall condemn it because they repented at the preaching of Yonan and behold He Who is greater than Yonan is here
[33]No man lights a lamp and sets it in a hidden place or under a bushel but over from a lampstand that those who enter may see its light
[34]The lamp of the body is your eye when therefore your eye is clear also whole your body shall be illuminated if but it should be evil also your body shall be darkened [34]ὁ λύχνος τοῦ σώματός ἐστιν ὁ ὀφθαλμός σου· ὅταν ὁ ὀφθαλμός σου ἁπλοῦς ᾖ, καὶ ὅλον τὸ σῶμά σου φωτεινόν ἐστιν· ἐπὰν δὲ πονηρὸς ᾖ, καὶ τὸ σῶμά σου σκοτεινόν.
[35]Take care therefore lest the light that is in you darkness is [35]σκόπει οὖν μὴ τὸ φῶς τὸ ἐν σοὶ σκότος ἐστίν.
[36]If but your body entire is enlightened and there is not in it part any darkened it shall be shining entirely like a lamp in its flame gives light to you [36]εἰ οὖν τὸ σῶμά σου ὅλον φωτεινόν, μὴ ἔχον μέρος τι σκοτεινόν, ἔσται φωτεινὸν ὅλον ὡς ὅταν ὁ λύχνος τῇ ἀστραπῇ φωτίζῃ σε.
[37]While but He was speaking requested of Him Pharisee one that He would dine with him and He entered He reclined [37]Ἐν δὲ τῷ λαλῆσαι, ἐρώτα αὐτὸν Φαρισαῖος ὅπως ἀριστήσῃ παρ᾽ αὐτῷ· εἰσελθὼν δὲ ἀνέπεσεν.
[38]That but Pharisee when he saw Him he was amazed that not first He washed from before His dinner [38]ὁ δὲ Φαρισαῖος ἰδὼν ἐθαύμασεν ὅτι οὐ πρῶτον ἐβαπτίσθη πρὸ τοῦ ἀρίστου.
[39]Said to him but Ieshu now you Pharisees the outside of the cup and the dish cleansing are inside some of you but are full of rape and wickedness
[40]Ones lacking intellect not? has The One Who made the outside also the inside He made [40]ἄφρονες, οὐχ ὁ ποιήσας τὸ ἔξωθεν καὶ τὸ ἔσωθεν ἐποίησεν;
[41]However whatever you have give it in alms and behold everything pure is to you [41]πλὴν τὰ ἐνόντα δότε ἐλεημοσύνην, καὶ ἰδοὺ πάντα καθαρὰ ὑμῖν ἐστιν.
[42]But woe! to you Pharisees for tithe you mint and dill and every herb and pass on you over justice and over the love of Alaha these but necessary it was for you to do and those not you should forsake
[43]Woe! to you Pharisees who love you first class seats in the synagogues and greetings in the streets
[44]Woe! to you Scribes and Pharisees accepters of faces who are as tombs that not are known and children of men walk over them and not know [44]oὐαὶ ὑμῖν, ὅτι ἐστὲ ὡς τὰ μνημεῖα τὰ ἄδηλα, καὶ οἱ ἄνθρωποι οἱ περιπατοῦντες ἐπάνω οὐκ οἴδασιν.
[45]And answered one from the Scribes and he said to Him Teacher when these things say You also us insult You [45]ἀποκριθεὶς δέ τις τῶν νομικῶν λέγει αὐτῷ, Διδάσκαλε, ταῦτα λέγων καὶ ἡμᾶς ὑβρίζεις.
[46]He but said also to you Scribes woe! for load you the children of men with burdens heavy and you with one of your fingers not touch you those burdens [46]ὁ δὲ εἶπεν, Καὶ ὑμῖν τοῖς νομικοῖς οὐαί, ὅτι φορτίζετε τοὺς ἀνθρώπους φορτία δυσβάστακτα, καὶ αὐτοὶ ἑνὶ τῶν δακτύλων ὑμῶν οὐ προσψαύετε τοῖς φορτίοις.
[47]Woe! to you who building are the tombs of the prophets for your fathers murdered them [47]Οὐαὶ ὑμῖν, ὅτι οἰκοδομεῖτε τὰ μνημεῖα τῶν προφητῶν, οἱ δὲ πατέρες ὑμῶν ἀπέκτειναν αὐτούς.
[48]Testify you therefore and approve you the deeds of your fathers for they murdered them and you building are their tombs [48]ἄρα μάρτυρές ἐστε καὶ συνευδοκεῖτε τοῖς ἔργοις τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν, ὅτι αὐτοὶ μὲν ἀπέκτειναν αὐτούς, ὑμεῖς δὲ οἰκοδομεῖτε.
[49]Because of this also the Wisdom of Alaha said behold I am sending to them prophets and apostles some of them they shall persecute and they shall murder [49]διὰ τοῦτο καὶ ἡ σοφία τοῦ θεοῦ εἶπεν, Ἀποστελῶ εἰς αὐτοὺς προφήτας καὶ ἀποστόλους, καὶ ἐξ αὐτῶν ἀποκτενοῦσιν καὶ [ἐκ]διώξουσιν·
[50]So that shall be required the blood of all the prophets that was shed from when was created the world of generation this [50]ἵνα ἐκζητηθῇ τὸ αἷμα πάντων τῶν προφητῶν τὸ ἐκκεχυμένον ἀπὸ καταβολῆς κόσμου ἀπὸ τῆς γενεᾶς ταύτης,
[51]From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zechariah he who was killed between the temple and the altar yes say I to you that it shall be required from generation this [51]ἀπὸ αἵματος Ἄβελ ἕως αἵματος Ζαχαρίου τοῦ ἀπολομένου μεταξὺ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ τοῦ οἴκου· ναὶ λέγω ὑμῖν, ἐκζητηθήσεται ἀπὸ τῆς γενεᾶς ταύτης.
[52]Woe to you Scribes because you have taken the keys of knowledge you not have entered and those who were entering you have hindered
[53]And when these things said He to them began the Scribes and the Pharisees to be offended at them and they were angered and they disparaged His words
[54]And they acted deceitfully to Him in many things while they sought to seize on something from His mouth so that they would be able ? to accuse Him [54]ἐνεδρεύοντες αὐτὸν [ζητοῦντες] θηρεῦσαί τι ἐκ τοῦ στόματος αὐτοῦ, [ἵνα κατηγορήσωσιν αὐτοῦ.]
