Bishop
[1]It occurred but in days those also went out a command from Augustus Qaesar that should be registered every nation of his empire [1]And it came to passe in those dayes, yt there went out a commaundement fro Augustus Cesar, that all the world should be taxed
[2]This census the first was in the government of Quraynus in Syria [2](And this first taxing was made, when Syrenius was liefetenaunt in Syria.
[3]And going was everyone to be registered in his city [3]And euery man went vnto his owne citie, to be taxed
[4]Came up had but also Yoseph from Natsareth a city of Galila to Judea to the city of David that is called Bethlehem because he was from the house and from the lineage of David [4]And Ioseph also went vp from Galilee, out of the citie Nazareth, into Iurie, vnto the citie of Dauid, whiche is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and image of Dauid
[5]With Maryam his bride when she was pregnant that there he might be registered [5]To be taxed with Marie his spoused wyfe, which was with chylde
[6]And it was that while there they were were completed her days that she would give birth [6]And so it was, that whyle they were there, the dayes were accomplysshed, that she shoulde be deliuered
[7]And she brought forth her Son firstborn and she wrapped Him in swaddling bands and she laid Him in a manger because there not was for them a place where lodge they might [7]And she brought foorth her first begotten sonne, and wrapped him in swadlyng clothes, & layde hym in a manger, because there was no rowme for them in the Inne
[8]Shepherds but some were in it in the region who lodging were there and they kept the watch of the night over their flocks [8]There were in ye same countrey sheepheardes, abydyng in the fielde, & watchyng their flocke by nyght
[9]And behold the angel of Alaha came to them and the glory of the Lord shone upon them and they were afraid from fear great [9]And loe, the Angel of the Lorde stoode harde by them, and the glorie of the Lorde shone rounde about them, & they were sore afrayde
[10]And said to them the angel not fear behold for proclaim I to you joy great which will be to the entire universe [10]And the Angel sayde vnto them, be not afrayde: For beholde, I bryng you tydynges of great ioy, that shall come to all people
[11]Has been born to you for today The Savior Who is the Lord The Messiah in the city of David [11]For vnto you is borne this daye, in the citie of Dauid, a sauiour, which is Christ the Lorde
[12]And this is to you a sign will find you the baby wrapped in swaddling bands and lying in a manger [12]And take this for a signe: Ye shal finde the childe wrapped in swadling clothes, and layde in a manger
[13]And from the silence appeared with the angel the armies great of Heaven while shouting praises to Alaha and they were saying [13]And straightway, there was with the Angel, a multitude of heauenly souldiers, praysyng God, and saying
[14]Glory to Alaha in Heaven and upon the earth peace and news good to the children of men [14]Glorie to God on hye, and peace on the earth, and vnto men a good wyll
[15]And it was that as went from among them the angels to Heaven spoke the shepherds one with another and they were saying let us proceed as far as Bethlehem and we shall see event this that has occurred as the Lord has revealed to us [15]And it came to passe, assoone as the Angels were gone away from them into heauen, the sheepheardes said one to another: Let vs go nowe euen vnto Bethlehem, and see this thyng that is come to passe, whiche the Lorde hath shewed vnto vs
[16]And they came quickly and they found Maryam and Yoseph and the Baby Who was lying in a manger [16]And they came with haste, and founde Marie and Ioseph, and the babe layde in a manger
[17]And when they had seen they made known the words that had been spoken with them about Him about The Boy [17]And when they had seene it, they publisshed abrode the saying whiche was tolde them, of that childe
[18]And all they who heard marvelled concerning those things that were spoken to them from the shepherds [18]And all they that hearde it, wondred at those thinges which were tolde them of the sheepheardes
[19]Maryam but keeping was all words these and was pondering in her heart [19]But Marie kept al those sayinges, and pondered them in her heart
[20]And returned shepherds those as they glorified and praised to Alaha concerning everything because they had seen and they had heard just as it had been spoken with them [20]And the sheepheardes returned, praysyng & laudyng God, for all the thinges that they had hearde and seene, euen as it was tolde vnto them
[21]And when were full eight days that should be circumcised the boy was called His Name Ieshu which He was called by the angel before He would have been conceived in the womb [21]And when the eygth day was come, that the chylde shoulde be circumcised, his name was called Iesus, whiche was so named of the Angel, before he was conceaued in the wombe
[22]And when were fulfilled the days that they should be purified according to the law of Moshe they carried Him to Jerusalem that they may present Him before the Lord [22]And when the dayes of her purification, after the lawe of Moyses, were accomplished, they brought hym to Hierusalem, to present him to the Lord
[23]As it is written in the law of the Lord every male who opens the womb a holy one of the Lord will be called [23](As it is written in the lawe of ye Lord: Euery man chylde that firste openeth the wombe, shalbe called holy to ye lord
[24]And that they offer a sacrifice just like that which was said in the law of the Lord a pair of turtle-doves or two young doves [24]And to offer, as it is sayde in the lawe of the Lorde, a payre of turtle doues, or two young pigions
[25]A man but one there was in Jerusalem his name was Shimeon and man this just was and righteous and waiting he was for the consolation of Israel and The Spirit of Holiness He was upon him [25]And beholde, there was a man in Hierusalem, whose name was Simeon: and the same man was iust and godlye, and loked for the consolation of Israel, and the holy ghost was vpon hym
[26]And told it was to him from The Spirit of Holiness that not he would see death until he would see The Messiah of the Lord [26]And a reuelation was geuen hym of the holy ghost, not to see death, before he had seene the Lordes Christe
[27]He this one come had in The Spirit to the temple and as brought Him His parents Ieshu the Boy to do for Him just as it was commanded in the law [27]And he came by inspiration into the temple: And when the father & mother brought in the chylde Iesus, to do for hym after the custome of the lawe
[28]He took Him on his arms and blessed to Alaha and he said [28]Then toke he hym vp in his armes, & praysed God, and sayde
[29]Now sending You are him Your servant my Lord according to Your word in peace [29]Lord nowe lettest thou thy seruaut depart in peace, accordyng to thy promise
[30]Behold have seen my eyes Your mercy [30]For mine eyes haue seene thy saluatio
[31]Him Whom You have prepared in the sight of all the peoples [31]Whiche thou hast prepared before the face of all people
[32]The light for revelation of the nations and the glory to Your people Israel [32]A light to be reuealed to the gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel
[33]Yoseph but and His mother marveling they were at those things that spoken were about Him [33]And Ioseph and his mother marueyled at those thinges which were spoken of hym
[34]And blessed them Shimeon and said to Maryam His mother behold This One is appointed for the fall and the rise of many in Israel and for a sign of contention [34]And Simeon blessed them, & saide vnto Marie his mother: beholde, this chylde is set to be the fall & vprysyng agayne of many in Israel, & for a signe which is spoken agaynst
[35]And into your soul but yours will pass through a lance so that may be revealed the thoughts of hearts of many [35]And moreouer, the sworde shall pearce thy soule, that the thoughtes of many heartes may be opened
[36]And Hannah but the prophetess daughter of Phanuel from the tribe of Ashayr also she old in her days was and seven years with her husband she had lived from her virginity [36]And ther was a prophetisse, one Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser, which was of a great age, and had lyued with an husbande seuen yeres from her virginitie
[37]And she had been a widow about years eighty and four and not departed she had from the temple and with fastings and with prayers serving she was by day and by night [37]And she had ben a wydowe about fourescore and foure yeres, whiche departed not from the temple, but serued God with fastynges and prayers nyght and day
[38]Also she was standing in it in the hour and she gave thanks to the Lord and speaking she was about Him with everyone who waiting was for the redemption of Jerusalem [38]And she, commyng at the same instant vpon them, confessed lykewise the Lorde, and spake of hym, to all them that loked for redemptio in Hierusalem
[39]And when they had finished every thing according to that in the law of the Lord they returned to Galila to Natsareth their city [39]And when they had perfourmed all thynges, accordyng to the lawe of the Lorde, they returned into Galilee, to their owne citie Nazareth
[40]The boy but growing was and being strengthened in Spirit and He was being filled with wisdom and the grace of Alaha it was upon Him [40]And the chylde grewe, and waxed strong in spirite, and was fylled with wisdome: & the grace of God was vpon hym
[41]And His people in every year going they were to Jerusalem at the feast of Passover [41]Nowe, his parentes went to Hierusale euery yere, at the feast of ye Passouer
[42]And when He was a son of years twelve they went up just as accustomed they had been to the feast [42]And when he was twelue yere old, they ascended vp to Hierusalem, after the custome of the feast day
[43]And when had past the days were returning they Ieshu but the Boy remained He in Jerusalem and Yoseph and His mother not they knew [43]And whe they had fulfilled the dayes, as they returned home, the chylde Iesus abode styll in Hierusalem: & Ioseph and his mother knewe not of it
[44]Were thinking they for that with the children of their friends He was and when they had come a journey of day one they looked for Him among their people and among whomever knew them [44]But they, supposyng hym to haue ben in the company, came a dayes iourney, and sought hym among their kinsfolke and acquayntaunce
[45]And not they found Him and returned they again to Jerusalem and seeking they were Him [45]And when they founde hym not, they turned backe againe to Hierusalem, and sought hym
[46]And from after three days they found Him in the temple as He sat in the midst of the teachers and He heard from them and He was inquiring of them [46]And it came to passe, that after three dayes, they founde hym in the temple, sittyng in the myddes of the doctours, hearyng them, and posyng them
[47]And astounded they were all those who listening were to Him at His wisdom and at His discourses [47]And all that hearde hym, were astonied at his vnderstanding & aunsweres
[48]And when they saw Him they marveled and said to Him His mother my Son why? have You done to us so behold Your father and I with anxiety great looking were for You [48]And when they sawe hym, they were amased. And his mother said vnto him: Sonne, why hast thou thus dealt with vs? Beholde, thy father and I haue sought thee, sorowyng
[49]He said to them why? looking were you for Me not? know did you that in the house of My Father it was fitting for Me to be [49]And he sayde vnto them: Howe is it that ye sought me? Wyste ye not, that I must go about my fathers businesse
[50]They but not understood the statement that He spoke to them [50]And they vnderstoode not that saying which he spake vnto them
[51]And He went down with them and He came to Natsareth and submitted He was to them His mother but keeping she was all these words in her heart [51]And he went downe with them, and came to Nazareth, & was obedient vnto them: But his mother kepte all these sayinges in her heart
[52]Ieshu but growing was in stature and in His wisdom and in favor with Alaha and the children of men [52]And Iesus increased in wisedome and stature, and in fauour with God & men
