|
[1]? on Sunday but at dawn while it was dark they came to the place burial they brought spices these that prepared they had and there were with them women other |
[1]But on the first [day] in the week, in the morning, while yet dark, they came to the sepulchre, and brought those aromatics which they had prepared; and with them there were other women. |
[2]And they found the stone that was rolled from the house burial |
[2]And they found the stone rolled from the sepulchre, |
[3]And they entered and not they found the body of Ieshu |
[3]And entered, but found not the body of Jeshu. |
[4]And it was that while these wondered at this behold two men stood over them and shining was their clothing |
[4]And it was that while they were amazed at this, behold, two men stood over against them, and whose raiment shined; |
[5]And they were in fear and they bowed their faces to the ground and they were saying to them why? seeking are you The Life among the dead |
[5]And they were in fear, and bowed their faces to the earth. And they said to them, Why are you seeking the living with the dead? |
[6]He is not here has risen He remember when He spoke with you as He was in Galilee |
[6]He is not here, he is risen. Remember what he spake with you while he was in Galila, |
[7]And said He going is The Son of Man to be delivered into the hands of men sinners and He shall be crucified and the third day He shall arise |
[7]And [when he] said, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of men of sins, and he will be crucified, and [in] the third of the days he will arise. |
[8]And these women remembered His words |
[8]And they remembered his words, |
[9]And they returned from the tomb and they were saying these things all to the eleven and to the rest |
[9]And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these [things] unto the eleven, and to the rest. |
[10]They were but Maryam Magdalitha and Yohanna and Maryam the mother of Yaqob and the rest who were with them these things who told had to the apostles |
[10]Now it was Mariam Magdalitha, Juchanon, and Mariam his mother, and Jacub, and the rest who were with them, who told these [occurrences] to the apostles. |
[11]And appeared in their eyes words these as insane and not they believed them |
[11]And these words appeared in their eyes as dreams, and they believed them not. |
[12]Shimeon but arose and ran to the tomb and beholding he saw the linen that was placed by itself and he went while wondering in his soul over what had happened |
[12]But Shemun arose, and ran to the sepulchre, and, looking in, he saw the linen clothes lying apart; and he went away, wondering in himself at what was done. |
[13]And behold two of them on that day going were to the village whose name is Emmaus and it is distant from Jerusalem furlongs sixty |
[13]AND, behold, two of them in that day went to a village whose name was Emaos, and distant from Urishlem sixty stadia. |
[14]And they speaking were one with another about these all things that had occurred |
[14]And they talked one with the other of all these [events] which had happened. |
[15]And while they were talking and inquiring one with another came He Ieshu and He met them and walking He was with them |
[15]And while they discoursed and investigated one with the other, Jeshu himself came and went with them, and walked with them. |
[16]And their eyes closed shut had been lest they would recognize Him |
[16]And their eyes were holden, that they should not know him. |
[17]And He said to them what? are matters these of which speaking you are one with another as walking you are and gloomy you are |
[17]And he said to them, What are these words that you speak with each other, as you walk and are sad? |
[18]Answered one of them whose name Qliopa and He said to Him You are? indeed by Yourself a foreigner to Jerusalem that not know You the thing that occurred in it in those days |
[18]And one of them answered, whose name was Kleopha, and said to him, Art thou only a stranger from Urishlem, who knowest not what hath been done in it in these days? |
[19]He said to them what? they were saying to Him concerning Ieshu He was Who from Natsareth a Man Who was The Prophet and mighty He was in word and in deed before Alaha and before the whole nation |
[19]He saith to them, What? They say to him, Concerning Jeshu, who was of Natsrath, a man who was a prophet, and mighty in word and in deed before Aloha, and before all the people. |
[20]And delivered Him Chief the Priests and The Elders to the sentence of death and they crucified Him |
[20]And the chief priests and elders delivered him to the judgment of death, and crucified him. |
[21]We but hoping had been that was going He to deliver Israel and behold it is three days behold from when these things all occurred |
[21]But we had hoped that it was he who shall redeem Isroel; and, lo, three days [have passed] since all these things were done. |
[22]But also women among us stupefied us gone before they had for to the place of burial |
[22]But women also of us have astonished us; for they were before at the sepulchre; |
[23]And when not they found His body they came they were telling us that angels we saw there and they were saying about Him that alive He is |
[23]And when they found not his body, they came and told us that angels they had seen there, and [that] they had said concerning him that he was alive. |
[24]Also some of us went to the house of burial and they found thus according to what said the women Him but not they saw |
[24]And some also of us went to the sepulchre, and found even as the women had said, but him they saw not. |
[25]Then said to them Ieshu Oh! deficient minds and dull hearts to believe in all those things that spoke the prophets |
[25]Then said Jeshu to them, O wanting in understanding, and hard of heart to believe all the things which the prophets have spoken! |
[26]Not? was these things necessary it that would endure The Messiah and that He enter His glory |
[26]Was it not to be that these the Meshicha should suffer, and enter into his glory? |
[27]And began He from Moshe and from all of The Prophets and expounded He to them about Himself from all of the scriptures |
[27]And, beginning from Musha and all the prophets, he explained to them concerning himself from all the scriptures. |
[28]And arrived they at village that going they were to which and He announcing was to them how to a place distant going He was |
[28]And they drew near to that village to which they were going; and he made them suppose that to a more distant place he was going. |
[29]And they constrained Him and they were saying to Him stay with us because the day now is declining it to become dark and He entered to stay with them |
[29]And they constrained him, and said to him, Abide with us, because the day now inclines to darken. And he went in to remain with them. |
[30]And it happened that when He reclined with them He took bread and He blessed and He broke and He gave to them |
[30]And it was that, while he reclined with them, he took bread, and blessed, and brake, and gave to them. |
[31]And at once were opened their eyes and they recognized Him and He ascended Himself from them |
[31]And at once their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he was taken from them. |
[32]And saying they were one to another not? was our heart stupid it within us when He was speaking with us on the road and He expounded to us the scriptures |
[32]And they said one to the other, Did not our hearts burn within us, while he spake with us by the way, and explained to us the scriptures? |
[33]And they arose in that hour and they returned to Jerusalem and they found the eleven who were assembled and those who were with them |
[33]And they arose in the same hour, and returned to Urishlem, and found the eleven, who were assembled, and they who were with them, |
[34]When they were saying truly has risen our Lord and He has appeared to Shimeon |
[34]Saying, Assuredly our Lord is risen, and hath appeared unto Shemun. |
[35]Also they related those things that occurred on the road and how He was known to them when He broke the bread |
[35]And they also declared those things which had happened in the way, and how he was made known to them while he brake the bread. |
[36]And when these things speaking they were Ieshu stood in their midst and He said to them peace with you I I not be afraid |
[36]AND while they were discoursing, Jeshu stood among them, and said to them, Peace be with you! I am; fear not. |
[37]And they were alarmed and they were in fear thinking they were for that a spirit they were seeing |
[37]And they were troubled, and were in fear; for they thought they beheld a spirit. |
[38]And said to them Ieshu why? are shaken you and why? arise imaginations in your hearts |
[38]Jeshu saith to them, Why are you perturbed, and why arise thoughts in your hearts? |
[39]See My hands and My feet that It is I touch Me and know that a spirit flesh and bones has not to it as see you that there are to Me |
[39]Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I: feel me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as you see that I have. |
[40]And when these things He had said He showed them His hands and His feet |
[40]And while these words he spake, he showed them his hands and his feet. |
[41]And as until this moment not believing they were from their joy and astonished they were He said to them is? with you here anything to eat |
[41]And while they as yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said to them, Have you here somewhat to eat? |
[42]They so gave to Him a piece of fish that was roasted and of a comb of honey |
[42]And they gave to him a portion of broiled fish, and of the comb of honey; |
[43]And He took He ate in their sight |
[43]And he took [and] did eat before their eyes. |
[44]And He said to them these are the words that I spoke with you when with you I was that must be it fulfilled every thing that is written in the law of Moshe and in The Prophets and in the Psalms about Me |
[44]And he said to them, These are the words that I spoke with you while I was with you, that every thing must be fulfilled which is written in the law of Musha, and in the Prophets, and in the Psalms, concerning me. |
[45]Then he opened their mind to understand the scriptures |
[45]Then opened he their minds, that they might understand the scriptures. |
[46]And He said to them thus it is written and thus righteous it was to suffer for The Messiah and to arise from among the dead the third day |
[46]And he said to them, that so it is written, and so it was just, that the Meshicha should suffer, and should rise from among the dead in the three days, |
[47]And that would be preached in His Name a repentance for the forgiveness of sins in all of the nations and the beginning would be at Jerusalem |
[47]And that in his name should be preached repentance and the forgiveness of sins among all nations, and that the commencement should be from Urishlem. |
[48]And you are witnesses of these things |
[48]And you are the witnesses of these. |
[49]And I shall send upon you the promise of My Father you but stay in Jerusalem the city until you shall be clothed in power from on high |
[49]And I will send upon you the promise of my Father. But await you in Urishlem the city until you be clothed with power from on high. |
[50]And He brought them unto BaythAnya and He lifted His hands and He blessed them |
[50]And he brought them out unto Bethania, and lifted up his hands, and blessed them. |
[51]And it was that as He blessed them He was separated from them and He ascended to Heaven |
[51]And it was that while he blessed them, he was separated from them, and he ascended to the heavens. |
[52]They but worshipped Him and they returned to Jerusalem in Joy great |
[52]And they worshipped him, and returned to Urishlem with great joy. |
[53]And at all times they were in the temple while they were praising and they were blessing to Alaha Amen |
[53]And at all time were they in the temple, praising and blessing Aloha. Amen.
