| [1]And at once in the morning they made a counsel the Chief Priests with The Elders and with The Scribes and with all the Assembly and they bound Ieshu and brought Him and delivered Him to Pilatus |
[1]ומחדא בצפרא עבדו מלכא רבי כהנא עמ קשׁישׁא ועמ ספרא ועמ כלה כנושׁתא ואסרו לישׁוע ואובלוהי ואשׁלמוהי לפילטוס הגמונא |
| [2]And asked Him Pilatus You are? The King of the Judeans He but he answered and He said to him you have said |
[2]ושׁאלה פילטוס אנת הו מלכא דיהודיא הו דינ ענא ואמר לה אנת אמרת |
| [3]? ? and accused Him the Chief Priests of many things |
[3]ואכלינ הוו קרצוהי רבי כהנא בסגיאתא |
| [4]He but Pilatus again asked Him and said to him not? return you an answer see how many are testifying against You |
[4]הו דינ פילטוס תוב שׁאלה ואמר לה לא מפנא אנת פתגמא חזי כמא מסהדינ עליכ |
| [5]He but Ieshu any answer not he gave so that would wonder Pilatus |
[5]הו דינ ישׁוע מדמ פתגמא לא יהב איכנא דנתדמר פילטוס |
| [6]Set a time he but at every feast to release to them prisoner one whomever they requested |
[6]מעד הוא דינ בכל עאדא למשׁרא להונ אסירא חד אינא דשׁאלינ |
| [7]And there was one who was called Bar-Abba who bound was with them that made sedition those who murder in the sedition commited |
[7]ואית הוא חד דמתקרא בר-אבא דאסיר הוא עמ עבדי אסטסינ הנונ דקטלא באסטסינ עבדו |
| [8]And cried out the people and they began to ask so that he would keep the custom he had been doing for them |
[8]וקעו עמא ושׁריו למשׁאל איכ דמעד הוא עבד להונ |
| [9]He but Pilatus answered and said willing are you? that I release to you the King of the Judeans |
[9]הו דינ פילטוס ענא ואמר צבינ אנתונ אשׁרא לכונ מלכא דיהודיא |
| [10]Known had for Pilatus that from envy delivered Him the Chief Priests to them |
[10]ידע הוא גיר פילטוס דמנ חסמא אשׁלמוהי רבי כהנא |
| [11]The Chief Priests but all the more urged the crowd that Bar-Abba he would release |
[11]רבי כהנא דינ יתיראית חפטו לכנשׁא דלבר-אבא נשׁרא להונ |
| [12]He but Pilatus said to them what? therefore do want you me to do to this one Whom called you The King of the Judeans |
[12]הו דינ פילטוס אמר להונ מנא הכיל צבינ אנתונ אעבד להנא דקרינ אנתונ מלכא דיהודיא |
| [13]They but again cried out crucify Him |
[13]הנונ דינ תוב קעו זקופיהי |
| [14]He but Pilatus said to them what? for evil has He done and they the more crying out were crucify Him |
[14]הו דינ פילטוס אמר להונ מנא גיר דבישׁ עבד והנונ יתיראית קעינ הוו זקופיהי |
| [15]Pilatus but wanted to do the will of the crowds and released to them Bar-Abba and delivered to them Ieshu after He had been scourged to be crucified |
[15]פילטוס דינ צבא דנעבד צבינא לכנשׁא ושׁרא להונ לבר-אבא ואשׁלמ להונ לישׁוע כד מנגד דנזדקפ |
| [16]The soldiers but led Him within the courtyard which is Praetorium and they called the whole company of soldiers |
[16]אסטרטיוטא דינ אובלוהי לגו דרתא דאיתיה פרטורינ וקרו לכלה אספיר |
| [17]And they clothed Him in purple and they wound and they placed on Him a crown of thorns |
[17]ואלבשׁוהי ארגונא וגדלו סמו לה כלילא דכובא |
| [18]And they began to invoke His peace Hail King of the Judeans |
[18]ושׁריו למשׁאל בשׁלמה שׁלמ מלכא דיהודיא |
| [19]And hitting they were Him on His head with a reed and spitting they were in His face and bowing they were on their knees and worshiping Him |
[19]ומחינ הוו לה על רשׁה בקניא ורקינ הוו באפוהי וברכינ הוו על בורכיהונ וסגדינ לה |
| [20]And when they mocked Him they stripped Him of the purple and clothed Him in His clothes and led Him to crucify Him |
[20]וכד בזחו בה אשׁלחוהי ארגונא ואלבשׁוהי מאנוהי ואפקוהי דנזקפוניהי |
| [21]And they detained one who passing by was Shimeon Qurinia who come had from the field the father of Alexandrus and of Rufus to take up His cross |
[21]ושׁחרו חד דעבר הוא שׁמעונ קוריניא דאתא הוא מנ קריתא אבוהי דאלכסנדרוס ודרופוס דנשׁקול זקיפה |
| [22]And they brought Him to Gagultha the place that is interpreted The Skull |
[22]ואיתיוהי לגגולתא דוכתא דמתפשׁקא קרקפתא |
| [23]And they gave to Him to drink wine that had been mixed with it myrrh He but not would take |
[23]ויהבו לה למשׁתא חמרא דחליט בה מורא הו דינ לא נסב |
| [24]And when they had crucified Him they divided His garments and cast for them lots who would what? take |
[24]וכד זקפוהי פלגו מאנוהי וארמיו עליהונ פסא מנו מנא נסב |
| [25]It was but hour the third when they crucified Him |
[25]אית הוא דינ שׁעא תלת כד זקפוהי |
| [26]And written was the pretext of His death in writing this This is The King of the Jews |
[26]וכתיבא הות עלתא דמותה בכתבא הנו מלכא דיהודיא |
| [27]And they crucified with Him two robbers one at His right and one at His left |
[27]וזקפו עמה תרינ לסטיא חד מנ ימינה וחד מנ סמלה |
| [28]And was fulfilled the scripture that says with wicked men He was numbered |
[28]ושׁלמ כתבא דאמר דעמ עולא אתחשׁב |
| [29]Also those but who passing were blaspheming they were against Him and were shaking their heads and they were saying O' destroyer of the temple and the one who builds it in three days |
[29]ואפ אילינ דינ דעברינ הוו מגדפינ הוו עלוהי ומנידינ רשׁיהונ ואמרינ אונ שׁרא היכלא ובנא לה לתלתא יומינ |
| [30]Save Yourself and descend from the cross |
[30]פצא נפשׁכ וחות מנ זקיפא |
| [31]And likewise also the chief priests joking they were one with another and the Scribes and they were saying others He saved Himself not He is able to save |
[31]והכנא אפ רבי כהנא גחכינ הוו חד עמ חד וספרא ואמרינ אחרנא אחי נפשׁה לא משׁכח למחיו |
| [32]The Messiah King of Israel let Him descend now from the cross that we may see and we will believe in Him and also they but who crucified were with Him reviling they were Him |
[32]משׁיחא מלכה דיסריל נחות השׁא מנ זקיפא דנחזא ונהימנ בה ואפ הנונ דינ דזקיפינ הוו עמה מחסדינ הוו לה |
| [33]And when it was sixth the hour was darkness on all the earth until the hour ninth |
[33]וכד הוי שׁת שׁעינ הוא חשׁוכא על כלה ארעא עדמא לשׁעא תשׁע |
| [34]And in ninth the hour cried out Ieshu in a voice loud and He said Eil Eil lemana Shabaqthani which is My Alaha My Alaha Why? have You forsaken Me |
[34]ובתשׁע שׁעינ קעא ישׁוע בקלא רמא ואמר איל איל למנא שׁבקתני דאיתיה אלהי אלהי למנא שׁבקתני |
| [35]And people who heard among those who were standing saying they were to Elia He called |
[35]ואנשׁינ דשׁמעו מנ הנונ דקימינ אמרינ הוו לאליא קרא |
| [36]Ran but one and filled a sponge with vinegar and tied it on a reed to give Him a drink and they said let Him alone let us see if comes Elia to take down Him |
[36]רהט דינ חד ומלא אספוגא חלא ואסר בקניא דנשׁקיוהי ואמרו שׁבוקו נחזא אנ אתא אליא מחת לה |
| [37]He but Ieshu cried in a voice loud and He expired |
[37]הו דינ ישׁוע קעא בקלא רמא ושׁלמ |
| [38]And the curtain of the door of the temple was ripped in two from the top unto the bottom |
[38]ואפי תרעא דהיכלא אצטרי לתרינ מנ לעל עדמא לתחת |
| [39]When saw but Centurion that who standing was with Him that thus He had cried out and expired he said truly this man The Son was of Alaha |
[39]כד חזא דינ קנטרונא הו דקאמ הוא לותה דהכנא קעא ושׁלמ אמר שׁריראית הנא גברא ברה הוא דאלהא |
| [40]There were but also women from a distance who looking were Maryam Magdalitha and Maryam the mother of Yaqob the small and of Yose and Shalom |
[40]אית הוי דינ אפ נשׁא מנ רוחקא דחזינ הוי מרימ מגדליתא ומרימ אמה דיעקוב זעורא ודיוסא ושׁלומ |
| [41]Those who when He was in Galila joined were to Him and ministered to Him and others many who gone up had with Him to Jerusalem |
[41]הנינ דכד הו בגלילא נקיפנ הוי לה ומשׁמשׁנ לה ואחרניתא סגיאתא דסלק הוי עמה לאורשׁלמ |
| [42]And when it was the evening of Friday which is before The Sabbath |
[42]וכד הוא רמשׁא דערובתא דאיתיה קדמ שׁבתא |
| [43]Came Yoseph that who was from Ramtha honorable a Counsellor who also was he who waiting was for the kingdom of Alaha and ventured and entered unto Pilatus and requested the body of Ieshu |
[43]אתא יוספ הו דמנ רמתא מיקרא בולוטא אינא דאפ הו מסכא הוא למלכותא דאלהא ואמרח ועל לות פילטוס ושׁאל פגרה דישׁוע |
| [44]Pilatus but wondered that if from sufficient time He had died and he called the Centurion and asked him that if from before the time He had died |
[44]פילטוס דינ תמה דאנ מנ כדו מית וקרא לקנטרונא ושׁאלה דאנ מנ קדמ עדנא מית |
| [45]And when he learned he gave His body to Yoseph |
[45]וכד ילפ יהב פגרה ליוספ |
| [46]And bought Yoseph linen and took it down and wrapped it in it and placed it in a tomb that hewn out was in the rock and rolled a stone against the door of the tomb |
[46]וזבנ יוספ כתנא ואחתה וכרכה בה וסמה בקברא דנקיר הוא בשׁועא ועגל כאפא על תרעה דקברא |
| [47]Maryam but Magdalitha and Maryam that is mother of Yose saw where He had been laid |
[47]מרימ דינ מגדליתא ומרימ הי דיוסא חזי איכא דאתתסימ |
