| [1]ועל תוב ישׁוע לכנושׁתא ואית הוא תמנ גברא חד דיבישׁא אידה |
[1]And Jeshu again entered the congregation: and a certain man was there whose hand was withered; |
| [2]ונטרינ הוו לה דאנ מאסא לה בשׁבתא נקטרגוניהי |
[2]And they watched him whether he would cure him on the shabath, that they might accuse him. |
| [3]ואמר להו גברא דיבישׁא אידה קומ במצעתא |
[3]And he said to him, the man with the withered hand, Stand up in the midst. |
| [4]אמר דינ אפ להונ שׁליט בשׁבתא למעבד דטב או דבישׁ נפשׁא למחיו או למובדו הנונ דינ שׁתיקינ הוו |
[4]He said also to them, Is it lawful on the shabath to do good, or [that] which [is] evil? to save life, or to destroy it? But they were silent. |
| [5]וחר בהונ בחמתא כד כריא לה על קשׁיות לבהונ ואמר להו גברא פשׁוט אידכ ופשׁט ותקנת אידה |
[5]And he beheld them with indignation, while it grieved him on account of the hardness of their hearts. And he said to the man, Stretch out thy hand. And he stretched [it]; and his hand straightened. |
| [6]ונפקו פרישׁא בר שׁעתה עמ דבית הרודס ומלכא נסבו עלוהי איכנא דנובדוניהי |
[6]And the Pharishee went out immediately, and took counsel against him, how they might destroy him. |
| [7]וישׁוע עמ תלמידוהי אזל לה לות ימא ועמא סגיאא מנ גלילא נקפה הוא ומנ יהוד |
[7]And Jeshu with his disciples went towards the sea: and many people joined him from Galila, and from Jehud, |
| [8]ומנ אורשׁלמ ומנ אדומ ומנ עברא דיורדננ ומנ צור ומנ צידנ כנשׁא סגיאא דשׁמעו הוו כל דעבד אתו לותה |
[8]And from Urishlem, and from Edum, and from beyond Jurdan, and from Tsur, and from Tsaidon; great multitudes, who, having heard all that he had done, came to him. |
| [9]ואמר לתלמידוהי דנקרבונ לה ספינתא מטל כנשׁא דלא נחבצוניהי |
[9]And he spoke to his disciples to bring a vessel for him, that the crowds might not oppress him; |
| [10]סגיאא גיר מאסא הוא עדמא דנהוונ נפלינ עלוהי מטל דנתקרבונ לה |
[10]For he had healed multitudes, until they were fallingⓘ upon him to touch him. |
| [11]ואילינ דאית הוי להונ מחותא דרוחא טנפתא מא דחזאוהי נפלינ הוו וקעינ ואמרינ אנת הו ברה דאלהא |
[11]And they who were troubled with impure spirits, when they saw him, fell down, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of Aloha. |
| [12]וסגי כאא הוא בהונ דלא נגלוניהי |
[12]And he strongly prohibited them to make him known. |
| [13]וסלק לטורא וקרא לאילינ דצבא ואתו לותה |
[13]AND he ascended a mountain, and called those whom he willed; and they came to him. |
| [14]וגבא תרעסר דנהוונ עמה ודנשׁדר אנונ דנכרזונ |
[14]And he chose twelve to be with him, and to send them to preach, |
| [15]ודנהוונ שׁליטינ דנאסונ כריהא ונפקונ דיוא |
[15]And to have authority to heal diseases and to cast out devils. |
| [16]ושׁמי לשׁמעונ שׁמא כאפא |
[16]And he named to Shemun the name of Kipha; |
| [17]וליעקוב בר זבדי וליוחננ אחוהי דיעקוב סמ להונ שׁמא בני-רגשׁי דאיתוהי בני רעמא |
[17]And upon Jacub bar Zabdai, and Juchanon the brother of Jacub, he set the name of B'nai-regesh, which is, [B'nai-râmo,] Sons of thunder. |
| [18]ואנדראוס ופיליפוס ובר-תולמי ומתי ותאומא ויעקוב בר חלפי ותדי ושׁמעונ קנניא |
[18]And Andreas, and Philipos, and Bar-Thulmai, and Mathai, and Thoma, and Jacub bar Chalphai, and Thadai, and Shemun the Zealous, |
| [19]ויהודא סכריוטא הו דאשׁלמה ואתו לביתא |
[19]And Jihuda S'carjuta,—he who betrayed him. And they came to the house: |
| [20]ואתכנשׁו כנשׁא תוב איכנא דלא נשׁכחונ הוו לחמא למאכל |
[20]And the assemblies gathered again, so that they could not eat bread. |
| [21]ושׁמעו אחינוהי ונפקו למאחדה אמרינ הוו גיר דמנ הונה נפק |
[21]And his relatives heard, and came forth to take him; for they said, He hath gone out of himself. |
| [22]וספרא אילינ דמנ אורשׁלמ נחתו אמרינ הוו בעלזבוב אית בה וברשׁא דדיוא מפק דיוא |
[22]And the Sophree, they who had come down from Urishlem, said, Belzebub is in him, and by the prince of devils he casteth out devils. |
| [23]וקרא אנונ ישׁוע ובמתלא אמר להונ איכנא משׁכח סטנא לסטנא למפקו |
[23]And Jeshu called them, and by similitudes said to them, How can Satan cast out Satan? |
| [24]אנ מלכותא גיר על נפשׁה תתפלג לא משׁכחא למקמ מלכותא הי |
[24]For if a kingdom against itself be divided, that kingdom cannot stand; |
| [25]ואנ ביתא על נפשׁה נתפלג לא משׁכח ביתא הו למקמ |
[25]And if a house against itself be divided, that house cannot stand; |
| [26]ואנ הו דסטנא קמ על נפשׁה ואתפלג לא משׁכח למקמ אלא חרתה הי |
[26]And if Satan rise against Satan, and be divided, he cannot stand, but his end is. |
| [27]לא אנשׁ משׁכח דנעול לבית חסינא ונחטופ מאנוהי אלא אנ לוקדמ לחסינא נאסור והידינ ביתה נבוז |
[27]No one can enter into the house of the strong, and spoil his goods, unless first the strong one he bind; and then his house he may destroy. |
| [28]אמינ אמר אנא לכונ דכלהונ חטהא וגודפא דנגדפונ בני אנשׁא נשׁתבקונ להונ |
[28]Amen I say to you, That all sin and blasphemy which the sons of men blaspheme may be remitted them; |
| [29]מנ דינ דנגדפ על רוחא דקודשׁא לית לה שׁובקנא לעלמ אלא מחיב הו לדינא דלעלמ |
[29]But whosoever shall blaspheme against the Spirit of Holiness hath no remission for ever, but is condemned to the judgment that is eternal. |
| [30]מטל דאמרינ הוו דרוחא טנפתא אית בה |
[30]Because they had said that an unclean spirit was in him. |
| [31]ואתו אמה ואחוהי קימינ לבר ושׁדרו דנקרוניהי להונ |
[31]AND there came his mother and his brethren, standing without; and they sent to call him to them. |
| [32]יתב הוא דינ חדרוהי כנשׁא ואמרו לה הא אמכ ואחיכ לבר בעינ לכ |
[32]But the congregation sat about him. And they say to him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without inquire for thee. |
| [33]וענא ואמר להונ מנ הי אמי ומנ אנונ אחי |
[33]And he answered, and said to them, Who is my mother, and who are my brethren? |
| [34]וחר באילינ דיתבינ לותה ואמר הא אמי והא אחי |
[34]And looking upon those who sat with him, he said, Behold my mother, and behold my brethren: |
| [35]מנ דנעבד גיר צבינה דאלהא הויו אחי וחתי ואמי |
[35]For whosoever shall do the will of Aloha, he is my brother, and my sister, and my mother. |
