PesNT(Eth)
[1]και συναγονται προς αυτον οι φαρισαιοι και τινες των γραμματεων ελθοντες απο ιεροσολυμων [1]AND there gathered to him Pharishee and Sophree, who had come from Urishlem;
[2]και ιδοντες τινας των μαθητων αυτου κοιναις χερσιν τουτ εστιν ανιπτοις εσθιοντας αρτους εμεμψαντο [2]And they saw some of his disciples eating bread with their hands not washed; and they complained.
[3]οι γαρ φαρισαιοι και παντες οι ιουδαιοι εαν μη πυγμη νιψωνται τας χειρας ουκ εσθιουσιν κρατουντες την παραδοσιν των πρεσβυτερων [3]For all the Jihudoyee and Pharishee, unless they carefully wash their hands, do not eat, because they hold the tradition of the elders;
[4]και απο αγορας εαν μη βαπτισωνται ουκ εσθιουσιν και αλλα πολλα εστιν α παρελαβον κρατειν βαπτισμους ποτηριων και ξεστων και χαλκιων και κλινων [4]And [coming] from the market, unless they lave, they eat not. And many other of those [things] there are which they have received to observe, [as] the baptisms of cups, and of measures, and of brasen utensils, and of beds.
[5]επειτα επερωτωσιν αυτον οι φαρισαιοι και οι γραμματεις δια τι οι μαθηται σου ου περιπατουσιν κατα την παραδοσιν των πρεσβυτερων αλλα ανιπτοις χερσιν εσθιουσιν τον αρτον [5]And the Sophree and Pharishee questioned him, Why do not your disciples walk according to the tradition of the elders; but, while their hands are not washed, eat bread?
[6]ο δε αποκριθεις ειπεν αυτοις οτι καλως προεφητευσεν ησαιας περι υμων των υποκριτων ως γεγραπται ουτος ο λαος τοις χειλεσιν με τιμα η δε καρδια αυτων πορρω απεχει απ εμου [6]But he said to them, Well prophesied concerning you Eshaia the prophet, you hypocrites; as it is written, This people with their lips honour me, but their heart is very far from me.
[7]ματην δε σεβονται με διδασκοντες διδασκαλιας ενταλματα ανθρωπων [7]But in vain do they reverence me while they teach the teachings of the commandments of men.
[8]αφεντες γαρ την εντολην του θεου κρατειτε την παραδοσιν των ανθρωπων βαπτισμους ξεστων και ποτηριων και αλλα παρομοια τοιαυτα πολλα ποιειτε [8]For you have abandoned the commandment of God and hold the tradition of men, as the baptisms of cups and measures, and many things like these.
[9]και ελεγεν αυτοις καλως αθετειτε την εντολην του θεου ινα την παραδοσιν υμων τηρησητε [9]He said to them [moreover], You decently suppress the commandment of God, that you may establish your tradition.
[10]μωσης γαρ ειπεν τιμα τον πατερα σου και την μητερα σου και ο κακολογων πατερα η μητερα θανατω τελευτατω [10]For Musha hath said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and whosoever curseth father and mother, the death he shall die.
[11]υμεις δε λεγετε εαν ειπη ανθρωπος τω πατρι η τη μητρι κορβαν ο εστιν δωρον ο εαν εξ εμου ωφεληθης [11]But you say, If a man shall say to his father, or to his mother, My oblation, [be that] whatever from me thou mayest profit;
[12]και ουκετι αφιετε αυτον ουδεν ποιησαι τω πατρι αυτου η τη μητρι αυτου [12]And you permit him not to do any thing for his father and his mother.
[13]ακυρουντες τον λογον του θεου τη παραδοσει υμων η παρεδωκατε και παρομοια τοιαυτα πολλα ποιειτε [13]But you reject the word of Aloha for the sake of the tradition which you have delivered: and many similar [observances] to these you practise.
[14]και προσκαλεσαμενος παντα τον οχλον ελεγεν αυτοις ακουετε μου παντες και συνιετε [14]And Jeshu called the whole multitude, and said to them, Hear me, all of you, and understand:
[15]ουδεν εστιν εξωθεν του ανθρωπου εισπορευομενον εις αυτον ο δυναται αυτον κοινωσαι αλλα τα εκπορευομενα απ αυτου εκεινα εστιν τα κοινουντα τον ανθρωπον [15]It is not that which is without the man, and which entereth into him, that can defile him: but that which proceedeth from him, that defileth a man.
[16]ει τις εχει ωτα ακουειν ακουετω [16]He who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
[17]και οτε εισηλθεν εις οικον απο του οχλου επηρωτων αυτον οι μαθηται αυτου περι της παραβολης [17]But when Jeshu had gone into the house [apart] from the multitude, his disciples asked him concerning that parable.
[18]και λεγει αυτοις ουτως και υμεις ασυνετοι εστε ου νοειτε οτι παν το εξωθεν εισπορευομενον εις τον ανθρωπον ου δυναται αυτον κοινωσαι [18]He said to them, How dull are even you! Know you not, that nothing from without that entereth a man can defile him,
[19]οτι ουκ εισπορευεται αυτου εις την καρδιαν αλλ εις την κοιλιαν και εις τον αφεδρωνα εκπορευεται καθαριζον παντα τα βρωματα [19]Because it entereth not into his heart, but into his belly, and is cast out in the purgation which all food purgeth?
[20]ελεγεν δε οτι το εκ του ανθρωπου εκπορευομενον εκεινο κοινοι τον ανθρωπον [20]But that which proceedeth from a man, that polluteth a man.
[21]εσωθεν γαρ εκ της καρδιας των ανθρωπων οι διαλογισμοι οι κακοι εκπορευονται μοιχειαι πορνειαι φονοι [21]For from within, from the heart of the sons of men, go forth evil thoughts, adultery, fornication,
[22]κλοπαι πλεονεξιαι πονηριαι δολος ασελγεια οφθαλμος πονηρος βλασφημια υπερηφανια αφροσυνη [22]Robbery, murder, rapacity, malice, fraud, obscenity, an evil eye, blasphemy, vain-glory, folly;
[23]παντα ταυτα τα πονηρα εσωθεν εκπορευεται και κοινοι τον ανθρωπον [23]All these evils come from within, and they defile a man.
[24]και εκειθεν αναστας απηλθεν εις τα μεθορια τυρου και σιδωνος και εισελθων εις οικιαν ουδενα ηθελεν γνωναι και ουκ ηδυνηθη λαθειν [24]FROM thence Jeshu arose and went to the confine of Tsur and of Tsaidon, and entered into a certain house: and he was unwilling that any man should know of him, but he could not conceal.
[25]ακουσασα γαρ γυνη περι αυτου ης ειχεν το θυγατριον αυτης πνευμα ακαθαρτον ελθουσα προσεπεσεν προς τους ποδας αυτου [25]For immediately heard a certain woman concerning him, whose daughter had an unclean spirit; and she came, [and] fell before his feet.
[26]ην δε η γυνη ελληνις συραφοινικισσα τω γενει και ηρωτα αυτον ινα το δαιμονιον εκβαλη εκ της θυγατρος αυτης [26]But that woman was a Gentile of Phuniki of Suria, and she prayed of him to cast out the demon from her daughter.
[27]ο δε ιησους ειπεν αυτη αφες πρωτον χορτασθηναι τα τεκνα ου γαρ καλον εστιν λαβειν τον αρτον των τεκνων και βαλειν τοις κυναριοις [27]But Jeshu said to her, Let the children first be filled; for it is not well to take the bread of the children and cast it to the dogs.
[28]η δε απεκριθη και λεγει αυτω ναι κυριε και γαρ τα κυναρια υποκατω της τραπεζης εσθιει απο των ψιχιων των παιδιων [28]But she answering said to him, Yes, my Lord, yet the dogs also from beneath the table eat the crumbs of the children.
[29]και ειπεν αυτη δια τουτον τον λογον υπαγε εξεληλυθεν το δαιμονιον εκ της θυγατρος σου [29]Jeshu saith to her, Go; on account of that word, the demon hath gone forth from thy daughter.
[30]και απελθουσα εις τον οικον αυτης ευρεν το δαιμονιον εξεληλυθος και την θυγατερα βεβλημενην επι της κλινης [30]And she went to her house, and found her daughter lying on the couch, and [that] the demon had gone out from her.
[31]και παλιν εξελθων εκ των οριων τυρου και σιδωνος ηλθεν προς την θαλασσαν της γαλιλαιας ανα μεσον των οριων δεκαπολεως [31]Jeshu again departed from the confine of Tsur and of Tsaidon, and came to the sea of Galila, on the confine of the Ten Cities;
[32]και φερουσιν αυτω κωφον μογγιλαλον και παρακαλουσιν αυτον ινα επιθη αυτω την χειρα [32]And they brought to him a blind man, a stammerer, and besought him to lay upon him the hand.
[33]και απολαβομενος αυτον απο του οχλου κατ ιδιαν εβαλεν τους δακτυλους αυτου εις τα ωτα αυτου και πτυσας ηψατο της γλωσσης αυτου [33]And he took him aside from the crowd by himself, and put his fingers in his ears, and spat, and touched his tongue.
[34]και αναβλεψας εις τον ουρανον εστεναξεν και λεγει αυτω εφφαθα ο εστιν διανοιχθητι [34]And he looked up to heaven, and sighed, and said to him, Be opened:
[35]και ευθεως διηνοιχθησαν αυτου αι ακοαι και ελυθη ο δεσμος της γλωσσης αυτου και ελαλει ορθως [35]And in that hour his ears were opened, and the bond of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plainly.
[36]και διεστειλατο αυτοις ινα μηδενι ειπωσιν οσον δε αυτος αυτοις διεστελλετο μαλλον περισσοτερον εκηρυσσον [36]And he charged them that to no man they should tell this. But so much as he charged them, they the more proclaimed it;
[37]και υπερπερισσως εξεπλησσοντο λεγοντες καλως παντα πεποιηκεν και τους κωφους ποιει ακουειν και τους αλαλους λαλειν [37]And they were exceedingly astonished, and said, He doeth every thing well; the deaf he maketh to hear, and them who spoke not, to speak.
