[1]In those but days when a crowd great ? there was and not ? was anything for them to eat He called His disciples and He said to them |
[1]BUT in those days when the multitude was great and there was nothing for them to eat, he called his disciples, and said to them, |
[2]Have pity I on crowd this for behold three days they have continued with Me and there is not for them something they may eat |
[2]I have compassion on this multitude, for behold three days have they continued with me, and there is nothing which they may eat. |
[3]And if it is that send away I them when they are fasting to their houses they will faint in the road people for among them from afar have come |
[3]And if it be that I send them away fasting to their houses, they will faint in the way; for some of them come from afar. |
[4]Were saying to Him His disciples from where? is able a man here in the desert to supply enough bread for these all of them |
[4]His disciples say to him, Whence can any one here in the wilderness satisfy with bread all these? |
[5]Asked them He how many? loaves are to you they were saying to Him seven |
[5]And he asked them, How many loaves have you? They say to him, Seven; |
[6]And He commanded the crowds to recline on the ground and He took those seven loaves and blessed and broke and He gave to His disciples that they may be set out and they set them out to the crowd |
[6]And he directed the multitudes to recline upon the ground, and he took those seven loaves, and blessed and brake and gave to his disciples that they should set, and they set before the assemblies. |
[7]? and there were fish a few and also over them He blessed and said that they may set out them |
[7]And there were fishes, a few: and also over them he blessed, and said that they should set them. |
[8]And they ate and they were filled and they took up the leftovers of fragments seven baskets |
[8]And they all ate and were satisfied, and took up the abundancies of the fragments, seven panniers. |
[9]? there were but men who ate about four thousand |
[9]Now the men who had eaten were about four thousand: and he dismissed them, |
[10]And He sent away them and came up at once to the ship with His disciples and came to the region of Dalmanutha |
[10]And immediately ascended into a vessel with his disciples, and came to the region of Dalmanutha. |
[11]And they came out the Pharisees and they began to inquire with Him and asking they were Him a sign from heaven while tempting Him |
[11]AND there came forth Pharishee, and began to question with him, and they demanded of him the sign from heaven, tempting him. |
[12]And He groaned in His Spirit and He said why? does seek a sign generation this amen say I to you that not shall be given to it a sign to generation this |
[12]And he groaned in his spirit, and said, Why seeketh this generation the sign? Amen I say to you, There shall not be given the sign unto this generation. |
[13]And He left them and boarded the ship and they went to that other side |
[13]And he left them, and ascended into the ship, and went to that overland. |
[14]They had forgotten to take bread and except for one cake there nothing was with them in the ship |
[14]And they had forgotten to take with them bread, and but one cake was with them in the ship. |
[15]And He commanded them and said to them Behold beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the leaven of Herodus |
[15]And he counselled them, and said to them, Look and beware of the leaven of the Pharishee, and of the leaven of Herodes. |
[16]And reasoning they were one with another and they were saying it is because bread there is not for us |
[16]And they reasoned one with another,ⓘ saying, Because we have no bread. |
[17]Ieshu but knew and He said to them why? considering are you that bread there is no for you not? until now knowing are you and not? understanding are you still the heart hard is to you |
[17]But Jeshu knew, and said to them, Why reason you because you have no bread? do you not yet know nor under stand? is your heart still hard? |
[18]And eyes are with you and not? seeing you are and ears are with you and not? hearing you are and not? remembering you are |
[18]And eyes have you, and not see? and ears have you, and not hear? neither remember you? |
[19]When those five loaves I broke for the five thousand how many? baskets of fragments after they were full did you take up they were saying to Him twelve |
[19]When those five loaves I brake to five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up? They said to him, Twelve. |
[20]He said to them and when the seven to the four thousand how many? baskets of fragments when they were full did you take up they were saying seven |
[20]He saith to them. And when seven to four thousand, how many panniers of fragments when filled took you up? They say, Seven. |
[21]He said to them How is it? not until this hour understanding you are |
[21]He saith to them, How do you not yet understand? |
[22]And He came to Bayth-Tsayda and they brought to Him a blind man and begging they were from Him that He would touch him |
[22]And he came to Beth-tsaida; and they brought to him a blind man, and prayed of him to touch him. |
[23]And He grasped the hand of the blind man and took him outside of the town and He spat in his eyes and laid on His hand and He asked him what he saw |
[23]And he took the hand of the blind man, and led him forth without from the village; and spat in his eyes, and laid [on them] his hand, and inquired whether he saw.ⓘ |
[24]He gazed and he said see I children of men like trees that are walking |
[24]And he looked, and said, I see the sons of man as the trees, walking. |
[25]Again He laid His hand on his eyes and he was healed and saw he every thing clearly |
[25]Again he laid his hand upon his eyes, and he was restored, and he saw every thing clearly. |
[26]And He sent him to his house and He said ? neither to the town will you enter nor will you tell a person in the town |
[26]And he sent him to his house, and told him to go not into the village, nor to inform any man in the village. |
[27]And went out Ieshu and His disciples to the villages of Qasria-D'Phillipus and asking He was His disciples in the road and He said to them what is it are saying about Me the people Who I am? |
[27]And Jeshu went forth and his disciples into the villages of Kesarea of Philipos, and he interrogated his disciples by the way, saying to them, What say men concerning me that I am? |
[28]Some but they said that Yokhanan the Baptizer and others that Elia and others one of the prophets |
[28]But they answered, That [thou art] Juchanon the Baptizer; and others, that [thou art] Elia; and others, one from the prophets. |
[29]And said to them Ieshu you but what is it? are saying you about Me Who I am answered Shimeon and he said to Him You are The Messiah the Son of Alaha The Living One |
[29]Jeshu said to them, But you, what say you concerning me that I am? Shemun Kipha answered and said to him, Thus art the Meshicha, the Son of Aloha the Living. |
[30]And He admonished them that to a person not they should speak about Him |
[30]And he charged them that to any one they should not tell concerning him. |
[31]And began He to teach them that was prepared He the Son of Man that He would suffer many things and that He would be rejected from the elders and from chief the priests and from the scribes and He would be killed and in three days He would rise |
[31]And he began to teach them, that it was to be that the Son of man should suffer much, and be rejected by the elders, and by the chief priests, and by the Sophree, and be killed, and that the third day he should arise! |
[32]And an eye in the open the word speaking He was and took Him aside Kaypha and he began to rebuke Him |
[32]And he spake the word with them fully.ⓘ And Kipha took him, and began to chide him. |
[33]He but turned and gazed at His disciples and rebuked Shimeon and said go you behind Me Satan for not reason you of Alaha but of the children of men |
[33]But he turned, and, beholding his disciples, reprehended Shemun, and said, Get thee behind me, Satana, for thou thinkest not that which is of Aloha, but that which is of the sons of men. |
[34]And He called Ieshu the crowds with His disciples and He said to them whoever is willing that he shall come after Me let him renounce himself and let him take up his cross and let him come after Me |
[34]AND Jeshu called to the assemblies with his disciples, and said to them, Whoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and come after me. |
[35]Everyone whoever is willing for that he should save his soul will lose it and everyone who will lose his life for Me and for My gospel he will save it |
[35]For every one who willeth to save his life shall lose it; and every one who shall lose his life on account of me and on account of my gospel, shall save it. |
[36]How? for is benefited a son of man if the world the whole he should gain and his soul he should lose |
[36]For what is a man profited, if the whole world he gain, and his soul be lost? |
[37]Or what? shall give a son of man exchange for his soul |
[37]Or what shall a son of man give [as] the compensation for his soul? |
[38]Everyone for who shall be ashamed of Me and of my words in generation this sinning and adultery commiting also The Son of Man shall be ashamed of him whenever He comes in the glory of His Father with His angels holy |
[38]For whoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this generation, sinful and adulterous, the Son of man will also be ashamed of him, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. |
