Bishop
[1]And He called twelve His disciples and He gave to them authority over spirits filthy to cast them out and to heal every ailment and disease [1]And when he had called his twelue disciples [vnto hym] he gaue them power agaynst vncleane spirites, to cast them out, and to heale all maner of sicknesse, and all maner of disease
[2]Their but of the twelve apostles names were these the first of them Shimeon which is called The Stone and Andraus his brother and Yaqob son of Zebedee and Yohanan his brother [2]The names of the twelue Apostles are these. The first, Simon, whiche is called Peter, and Andrewe his brother, Iames, the [sonne] of Zebedee, & Iohn his brother
[3]And Phillipus and Bar-Tolmay and Thoma and Mattai the tax collector and Yaqob son of Halphi and Lebai who was called Thadi [3]Philip, & Bartholomewe, Thomas and Matthewe, which [had ben] a Publicane, Iames, ye [sonne] of Alphee, & Lebbeus, whose surname was Taddeus
[4]And Shimeon the Zealot and Yehuda Skariota he who betrayed Him [4]Simon [the] Cananite, & Iudas Iscariot, which also betrayed hym
[5]These twelve sent Ieshu and He commanded them and He said by a road of the heathen not you shall go and to a city of the Samaritans not you shall enter [5]Iesus sent foorth these twelue, who he comaunded, saying. Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into the citie of the Samaritanes enter ye not
[6]Go you but especially to the sheep that have been lost from the house of Israel [6]But go rather to the lost sheepe of the house of Israel
[7]And when are going you preach and say that has come near the Kingdom of Heaven [7]As ye go, preache, saying: The kyngdome of heauen is at hande
[8]The sick heal and the lepers purify and demons cast out freely you have received freely give [8]Heale the sicke, cleanse ye lepers, rayse the dead, cast out deuyls. Freely ye haue receaued, freely geue
[9]Not you shall retain gold neither silver nor copper in your money bags [9]Possesse not golde, nor syluer, nor brasse in your purses
[10]Neither scrip for the way nor two coats neither shoes nor a staff worthy is for a laborer of his provisions [10]Nor yet scrippe, towardes your iourney, neither two coates, neither shoes, nor yet a staffe. For the workman is worthy of his meate
[11]To whichever but city or village enter you it ask who is? worthy in it and there stay until leave you [11]But to whatsoeuer citie or towne ye shall come, inquire who is worthy in it, and there abyde, tyll ye go thence
[12]And when enter you a household invoke the peace of the househould [12]And when ye come into an house, salute the same
[13]And if that is worthy household your blessing of peace will come upon it if but not it is worthy your blessing of peace unto you will return [13]And if the house be worthy, let your peace come vpon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace returne to you again
[14]Whoever not but does receive you neither listens to your words when depart you from the house or from village that shake the sand from your feet [14]And whosoeuer shal not receaue you, nor wyll heare your preachyng: when ye depart out of that house, or that citie, shake of the dust of your feete
[15]And truly say I to you for land that of Sadom and of Ammora it will be tranquil in the day of judgment rather than for city that [15]Ueryly I say vnto you, it shalbe easier for the lande of the Sodomites and Gomorreans, in the day of iudgement, then for that citie
[16]Behold I sending am you as lambs among wolves be therefore crafty as snakes and innocent as doves [16]Beholde, I sende you foorth, as sheepe in the middest of woolfes. Be ye therfore wyse as serpentes, and harmelesse as doues
[17]Be on guard but from the children of men they will deliver you for to the house of judgment and in their assemblies they will scourge you [17]But beware of men. For they shall delyuer you vp to the councels, and shal scourge you in their synagogues
[18]And before governors and kings they will bring you for My sake for testimony their and that of the nations [18]And ye shalbe brought to the head rulers, and kynges, for my sake, in witnesse to them, and to the Gentiles
[19]When but they arrest you not you shall be anxious how? or what? you will speak it will be given to you for in that hour whatever you should speak [19]But whe they delyuer you vp, take ye no thought, how or what ye shal speake. For it shalbe geuen you, euen in that same houre, what ye shall speake
[20]Not it will be for you speaking but The Spirit of your Father speaking in you [20]For it is not ye that speake, but ye spirite of your father, which speaketh in you
[21]Will deliver but brother his brother to death and father his son and will rise children against their parents and they will put to death them [21]The brother shall delyuer vp the brother to death, and the father the sonne, & the chyldren shall ryse agaynst their fathers, and mothers, and shall put them to death
[22]And you will be hated of everyman because of My Name whoever but will endure until the end he will be saved [22]And ye shalbe hated of all men, for my names sake: but he that endureth to the ende, shalbe saued
[23]When they persecute you but in city this flee you to another truly for say I to you that not you will have finished these all cities of the house of Israel until will come The Son of Man [23]But, when they persecute you in this citie, flee ye into another. For verily I say vnto you, ye shall not ende all the cities of Israel, tyll the sonne of man be come
[24]There is not a disciple greater than his master neither a servant than his lord [24]The disciple is not aboue the maister, nor the seruaunt aboue his lorde
[25]It is enough for him for a disciple that he would be like his master and for a servant like his lord if the lord of the house they have called Beelzebub more how much? the children of his household [25]It is enough for the disciple, that he be as his maister is: and that the seruaunt, be as his lorde is. If they haue called the lorde of the house Beelzebub: howe much more shall they call them of his householde so
[26]Not therefore you shall be afraid of them there is not for anything covered that not will be revealed and hidden that not will be known [26]Feare them not therfore. For there is nothing close, that shal not be opened: & nothing hyd, that shall not be knowen
[27]Whatever tell I to you in the darkness say it you in the light and anything that with your ears hear you preach on the rooftops [27]What I tell you in darknesse, that speake ye in lyght: And what ye heare in the eare, that preach ye on the houses
[28]And not you shall be afraid of those who kill the body the soul but not are able to kill be afraid but rather of Him which can what is soulish and the body destroy in Gehenna [28]And feare ye not them, which kyll the body, but are not able to kyll the soule. But rather feare hym, which is able to destroy both soule and body in hell
[29]Not two sparrows are sold for a penny and one of them apart from your Father not falls on the ground [29]Are not two litle sparowes solde for a farthyng? And one of the shall not light on the grounde, without your father
[30]Your but also hairs of your head all numbered are [30]Yea, euen all the heeres of your head are numbred
[31]Not therefore you shall be afraid than sparrows many are greater you [31]Feare ye not therefore, ye are of more value then many sparowes
[32]Everyone therefore who will confess Me before children of men I shall confess him also I before My Father Who is in Heaven [32]Euery one therfore, that shall confesse me before men, hym wyll I confesse also, before my father, which is in heaues
[33]Whoever but will deny Me before children of men I shall deny him also I before My Father in Heaven [33]But whosoeuer shall denye me before men, hym wyll I also denye, before my father, which is in heauens
[34]Not think that I have come to bring peace in the earth not I have come to bring peace but a sword [34]Thinke not that I am come to sende peace into the earth. I came not to sende peace, but a sworde
[35]I have come for to divide a man against his father and a daughter against her mother and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law [35]For I am come to set a man at varyaunce agaynst his father, & the daughter agaynst her mother, and the daughter in lawe agaynst her mother in lawe
[36]And the enemies of a man will be the children of his household [36]And a mans foes [shalbe] they of his owne householde
[37]Whoever loves father or mother more than Me not is worthy to Me and whoever loves son or daughter more than Me not is worthy to Me [37]He that loueth father or mother, more then me, is not worthy of me. And he that loueth sonne or daughter, more the me, is not worthy of me
[38]And everyone who does not take his cross and come after Me not is worthy to Me [38]And he that taketh not his crosse, & foloweth me, is not worthy of me
[39]And whoever will lose his life-himself for My sake will find it whoever will find his life-himself will lose it [39]He that findeth his life, shall lose it: and he that loseth his lyfe, for my sake, shall fynde it
[40]Whoever receives you Me receives and whoever Me receives Him Who sent Me receives [40]He that receaueth you, receaueth me: & he that receaueth me, receaueth hym that sent me
[41]Whoever receives a prophet in the name of The Prophet a reward of The Prophet receives and whoever receives a righteous one in the Name of The Righteous One a reward of The Righteous One receives [41]He that receaueth a prophete, in the name of a prophete, shall receaue a prophetes rewarde. And he that receaueth a ryghteous man, in the name of a ryghteous man, shall receaue a ryghteous mans rewarde
[42]And everyone who gives a drink to one of these little ones a cup of cold water alone in the name of a disciple amen say I to you that not he will lose his reward [42]And whosoeuer shall geue vnto one of these litle ones, to drynke, a cuppe of colde water only, in the name of a disciple, veryly I say vnto you, he shall not lose his rewarde
