[1]καίC ὁράωVB-AAPNSM *βαλααμN--NSM ὅτιC καλόςA1-ASN εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἔναντιP κύριοςN2-GSM εὐλογέωV2-PAN ὁRA-ASM *ἰσραήλN--ASM οὐD πορεύομαιVCI-API3S κατάP ὁRA-ASN ἔθωVX-XAPASN εἰςP συνάντησιςN3I-ASF ὁRA-DPM οἰωνόςN2-DPM καίC ἀποστρέφωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASN πρόσωπονN2N-ASN αὐτόςRD-GSM εἰςP ὁRA-ASF ἔρημοςN2-ASF |
[1]And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness. |
[2]καίC ἐκαἴρωVA-AAPNSM *βαλααμN--NSM ὁRA-APM ὀφθαλμόςN2-APM αὐτόςRD-GSM καταὁράωV3-PAI3S ὁRA-ASM *ἰσραήλN--ASM στρατοπεδεύωVX-XAPASM κατάP φυλήN1-APF καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S πνεῦμαN3M-NSN θεόςN2-GSM ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DSM |
[2]And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding [in his tents] according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him. |
[3]καίC ἀναλαμβάνωVB-AAPNSM ὁRA-ASF παραβολήN1-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM εἶπονVBI-AAI3S φημίV6-PAI3S *βαλααμN--NSM υἱόςN2-NSM *βεωρN--GSM φημίV6-PAI3S ὁRA-NSM ἄνθρωποςN2-NSM ὁRA-NSM ἀληθινῶςD ὁράωV3-PAPNSM |
[3]And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said: |
[4]φημίV6-PAI3S ἀκούωV1-PAPNSM λόγιονN2N-APN θεόςN2-GSM ὅστιςRX-NSM ὅρασιςN3I-ASF θεόςN2-GSM ὁράωVBI-AAI3S ἐνP ὕπνοςN2-DSM ἀποκαλύπτωVM-XMPNPM ὁRA-NPM ὀφθαλμόςN2-NPM αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[4]He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling [into a trance], but having his eye open: |
[5]ὡςC καλόςA1-NPM σύRP-GS ὁRA-NPM οἶκοςN2-NPM *ἰακώβN--VSM ὁRA-NPF σκηνήN1-NPF σύRP-GS *ἰσραήλN--VSM |
[5]How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, [and] thy tabernacles, O Israel! |
[6]ὡσείD νάπηN1-NPF σκιάζωV1-PAPNPF καίC ὡσείD παράδεισοςN2-NPM ἐπίP ποταμόςN2-GPM καίC ὡσείD σκηνήN1-NPF ὅςRR-APF πήγνυμιVAI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ὡσείD κέδροςN2-NPF παράP ὕδωρN3T-APN |
[6]As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river's side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, [and] as cedar trees beside the waters. |
[7]ἐκἔρχομαιVF-FMI3S ἄνθρωποςN2-NSM ἐκP ὁRA-GSN σπέρμαN3M-GSN αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC κυριεύωVF-FAI3S ἔθνοςN3E-GPN πολύςA1-GPM καίC ὑψόωVC-FPI3S ἤC *γωγN--AS βασιλείαN1A-NSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC αὐξάνωVC-FPI3S ὁRA-NSF βασιλείαN1A-NSF αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[7]He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed [shall be] in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted. |
[8]θεόςN2-NSM ὁδηγέωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-ASM ἐκP *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSF ὡςC δόξαN1S-NSF μονόκερωςN3T-GSM αὐτόςRD-DSM ἐσθίωVF-FMI3S ἔθνοςN3E-APN ἐχθρόςN2-GPM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ὁRA-APN πάχοςN3-APN αὐτόςRD-GPM ἐκμυελίζωVF2-FAI3S καίC ὁRA-DPF βολίςN3D-DPF αὐτόςRD-GSM κατατοξεύωVF-FAI3S ἐχθρόςN2-ASM |
[8]God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce [them] through with his arrows. |
[9]κατακλίνωVC-APPNSM ἀναπαύωVAI-AMI3S ὡςC λέωνN3W-NSM καίC ὡςC σκύμνοςN2-NSM τίςRI-NSM ἀναἵστημιVF-FAI3S αὐτόςRD-ASM ὁRA-NPM εὐλογέωV2-PAPNPM σύRP-AS εὐλογέωVM-XMI3P καίC ὁRA-NPM καταἀράομαιV3-PMPNPM σύRP-AS καταἀράομαιVM-XMI3P |
[9]He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed [is] he that blesseth thee, and cursed [is] he that curseth thee. |
[10]καίC θυμόωVCI-API3S *βαλακN--NSM ἐπίP *βαλααμN--DSM καίC συνκροτέωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-DPF χείρN3-DPF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *βαλακN--NSM πρόςP *βαλααμN--ASM καταἀράομαιVS-APN ὁRA-ASM ἐχθρόςN2-ASM ἐγώRP-GS καλέωVX-XAI1S σύRP-AS καίC ἰδούI εὐλογέωV2-PAPNSM εὐλογέωVA-AAI2S τρίτοςA1-ASN οὗτοςRD-ASN |
[10]And Balak's anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed [them] these three times. |
[11]νῦνD οὖνX φεύγωV1-PAD2S εἰςP ὁRA-ASM τόποςN2-ASM σύRP-GS εἶπονVAI-AAI1S τιμάωVF-FAI1S σύRP-AS καίC νῦνD στερέωVAI-AAI3S σύRP-AS κύριοςN2-NSM ὁRA-GSF δόξαN1S-GSF |
[11]Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour. |
[12]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *βαλααμN--NSM πρόςP *βαλακN--ASM οὐD καίC ὁRA-DPM ἄγγελοςN2-DPM σύRP-GS ὅςRR-APM ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI2S πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS λαλέωVAI-AAI1S λέγωV1-PAPNSM |
[12]And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying |
[13]ἐάνC ἐγώRP-DS δίδωμιVO-AAS3S *βαλακN--NSM πλήρηςA3H-APN ὁRA-ASM οἶκοςN2-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSM ἀργύριονN2N-GSN καίC χρυσίονN2N-GSN οὐD δύναμαιVF-FMI1S παραβαίνωVZ-AAN ὁRA-ASN ῥῆμαN3M-ASN κύριοςN2-GSM ποιέωVA-AAN αὐτόςRD-ASN πονηρόςA1A-ASN ἤC καλόςA1-ASN παράP ἐμαυτοῦRD-GSM ὅσοςA1-APN ἐάνC εἶπονVB-AAS3S ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM οὗτοςRD-APN εἶπονVF2-FAI1S |
[13]If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do [either] good or bad of mine own mind; [but] what the LORD saith to me, that will I speak? |
[14]καίC νῦνD ἰδούI ἀποτρέχωV1-PAI1S εἰςP ὁRA-ASM τόποςN2-ASM ἐγώRP-GS δεῦροD συνβουλεύωVF-FAI1S σύRP-DS τίςRI-ASN ποιέωVF-FAI3S ὁRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM οὗτοςRD-NSM ὁRA-ASM λαόςN2-ASM σύRP-GS ἐπίP ἔσχατοA1-GSN ὁRA-GPF ἡμέραN1A-GPF |
[14]And now, behold, I go unto my people: come [therefore, and] I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days. |
[15]καίC ἀναλαμβάνωVB-AAPNSM ὁRA-ASF παραβολήN1-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM εἶπονVBI-AAI3S φημίV6-PAI3S *βαλααμN--NSM υἱόςN2-NSM *βεωρN--GSM φημίV6-PAI3S ὁRA-NSM ἄνθρωποςN2-NSM ὁRA-NSM ἀληθινῶςD ὁράωV3-PAPNSM |
[15]And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said: |
[16]ἀκούωV1-PAPNSM λόγιονN2N-APN θεόςN2-GSM ἐπίσταμαιV6-PMPNSM ἐπιστήμηN1-ASF παράP ὕψιστοςA1-GSM καίC ὅρασιςN3I-ASF θεόςN2-GSM ὁράωVB-AAPNSM ἐνP ὕπνοςN2-DSM ἀποκαλύπτωVM-XMPNPM ὁRA-NPM ὀφθαλμόςN2-NPM αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[16]He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, [which] saw the vision of the Almighty, falling [into a trance], but having his eyes open: |
[17]δεικνύωVF-FAI1S αὐτόςRD-DSM καίC οὐD νῦνD μακαρίζωV1-PAI1S καίC οὐD ἐγγίζωV1-PAI3S ἀνατέλλωVF2-FAI3S ἄστρονN2N-ASN ἐκP *ἰακώβN--GSM καίC ἀναἵστημιVF-FMI3S ἄνθρωποςN2-NSM ἐκP *ἰσραήλN--GSM καίC θραύωVF-FAI3S ὁRA-APM ἀρχηγόςN2-APM *μωαβN--GSM καίC προνομεύωVF-FAI3S πᾶςA3-APM υἱόςN2-APM *σηθN--GSM |
[17]I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth. |
[18]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S *εδωμN--NS κληρονομίαN1A-NSF καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S κληρονομίαN1A-NSF *ησαυN--NSM ὁRA-NSM ἐχθρόςN2-NSM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC *ἰσραήλN--NSM ποιέωVAI-AAI3S ἐνP ἰσχύςN3U-DSF |
[18]And Edom shall be a possession, Esau also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly. |
[19]καίC ἐκἐγείρωVC-FPI3S ἐκP *ἰακώβN--GSM καίC ἀποὀλλύωVF2-FAI3S σώζωV1-PMPASM ἐκP πόλιςN3I-GSF |
[19]Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city. |
[20]καίC ὁράωVB-AAPNSM ὁRA-ASM *αμαληκN--ASM καίC ἀναλαμβάνωVB-AAPNSM ὁRA-ASF παραβολήN1-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ἀρχήN1-NSF ἔθνοςN3E-GPN *αμαληκN--NSM καίC ὁRA-ASN σπέρμαN3M-NSN αὐτόςRD-GPM ἀποὀλλύωVF2-FMI3S |
[20]And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek [was] the first of the nations; but his latter end [shall be] that he perish for ever. |
[21]καίC ὁράωVB-AAPNSM ὁRA-ASM *καιναῖονN--ASM καίC ἀναλαμβάνωVB-AAPNSM ὁRA-ASF παραβολήN1-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ἰσχυρόςA1A-APN ὁRA-NSF κατοικίαN1A-NSF σύRP-GS καίC ἐάνC τίθημιVE-AAS2S ἐνP πέτραN1A-DSF ὁRA-ASF νοσσιάN1A-ASF σύRP-GS |
[21]And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock. |
[22]καίC ἐάνC γίγνομαιVB-AMS3S ὁRA-DSM *βεωρN--DSM νοσσιάN1A-NSF πανουργίαN1A-GSF *ἀσσύριοςN2-NPM σύRP-AS αἰχμαλωτεύωVF-FAI3S |
[22]Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive. |
[23]καίC ὁράωVB-AAPNSM ὁRA-ASM *ωγN--ASM καίC ἀναλαμβάνωVB-AAPNSM ὁRA-ASF παραβολήN1-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ὦI ὦI τίςRI-NSM ζάωVF-FMI3S ὅτανD τίθημιVE-AAS3S οὗτοςRD-APN ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM |
[23]And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this! |
[24]καίC ἐκἔρχομαιVF-FMI3S ἐκP χείρN3-GSF *κιτιαῖοιN2-GPM καίC κακόωVF-FAI3P *ασσουρN--AS καίC κακόωVF-FAI3P *εβραῖοςN2-APM καίC αὐτόςRD-NPM ὁμοθυμαδόνD ἀποὀλλύωVF2-FMI3P |
[24]And ships [shall come] from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever. |
[25]καίC ἀναἵστημιVH-AAPNSM *βαλααμN--NSM ἀποἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S ἀποστρέφωVD-APPNSM εἰςP ὁRA-ASM τόποςN2-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC *βαλακN--NSM ἀποἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S πρόςP ἑαυτοῦRD-ASM |
[25]And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way. |
