[1]ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܬܲܦܵܐ ܕܡܲـ̈ـܝܵܐ ܠܸܒܹ̇ܗ ܕܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܒܐܝܼܕ݂ܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ. ܘܠܲܐܬܲܪ ܕܨܵܒܹ̇ܐ: ܡܲܪܟܸ̇ܢ ܠܹܗ. [1]Rivulets of waters [is] the heart of a king in the hand of Jehovah, Wherever He pleaseth He inclineth it.
[2]ܟܠܗܹܝܢ ܐܘܼܪ̈ܚܵܬܹܗ ܕܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܬܪ̈ܝܼܨܵܢ ܐܸܢܹܝܢ ܒܥܲܝܢܲܝ̈ ܢܲܦ̮ܫܹܗ. ܘܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܡܲܬ̣ܩܸܢ ܠܸܒܵܐ. [2]Every way of a man [is] right in his own eyes, And Jehovah is pondering hearts.
[3]ܡ̇ܢ ܕܥܵܒܹ̇ܕ݂ ܙܲܕ̇ܝܼܩܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܘܕ݂ܝܼܢܵܐ: ܓܒܸܐ ܗ̄ܘܼ ܠܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܕܸܒ̣ܚ̱ܬ̣ܵܐ. [3]To do righteousness and judgment, Is chosen of Jehovah rather than sacrifice.
[4]ܪܵܘܡܵܐ ܕܥܲܝܢܹ̈ܐ ܘܲܪܘܲܚܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܠܸܒܵܐ: ܘܲܫܪܵܓ̣ܵܐ ܕܥܵܘܿܠܹ̈ܐ ܚܛܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ. [4]Loftiness of eyes, and breadth of heart, Tillage of the wicked [is] sin.
[5]ܡܲܚܫ̈ܒ̣ܵܬܹܗ ܕܓܲܒ̣ܝܵܐ ܡܗܲܝ̱ܡ̈ܢܵܢ. ܘܲܕ݂ܒ̣ܝܼܫܵܐ ܡܲܚ̄ܣܪ̈ܵܢ. [5]The purposes of the diligent [are] only to advantage, And of every hasty one, only to want.
[6]ܡܲܥܒ̇ܕ݂ܵܢܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܣܝܼܡܬ̣ܵܐ ܒܠܸܫܵܢܵܐ ܕܲܓܵܠܵܐ: ܘܠܲܐܒ̣ܕܵܢܵܐ ܢܸܣܬܲܚܦܘܼܢ ܐܲܝܠܹܝܢ ܕܒ̣ܵܥܹ̇ܝܢ ܠܡܵܘܬܵܐ. [6]The making of treasures by a lying tongue, [Is] a vanity driven away of those seeking death.
[7]ܬܒ̣ܵܪܵܐ ܕܥܵܘܿܠܹ̈ܐ ܢܹܐܬܹܐ ܥܠܲܝܗܘܿܢ: ܥܲܠ ܕܠܵܐ ܨܒ̣ܵܘ ܠܡܸܥܒܲܕ݂ ܕܝܼܢܵܐ. [7]The spoil of the wicked catcheth them, Because they have refused to do judgment.
[8]ܕܗܵܦܹ̇ܟ݂ ܐܘܼܪܚܹܗ: ܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܗ̄ܘܼ ܢܘܼܟ݂ܪܵܝܵܐ. ܘܐܲܝܢܵܐ ܕܲܕ݂ܟ݂ܐ: ܬܪܝܼܨܝܼܢ ܥܒ̣ܵܕ݂ܵܘ̈ܗܝ. [8]Froward [is] the way of a man who is vile, And the pure -- upright [is] his work.
[9]ܦܲܩܵܚ ܠܡܸܬܲܒ̣ ܥܲܠ ܩܲܪܢܵܐ ܕܐܸܓܵܪܵܐ: ܡ̣ܢ ܕܲܠܡܸܥܡܲܪ ܥܲܡ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ܬ̣ܵܐ ܢܲܨܵܝܬܵܐ. [9]Better to sit on a corner of the roof, Than [with] a woman of contentions and a house of company.
[10]ܢܲܦ̮ܫܹܗ ܕܥܵܘܿܠܵܐ ܠܵܐ ܡܸܬ̣ܚܲܙܝܵܐ ܒܥܲܝܢܲܝ̈ ܚܲܒ̣ܪ̈ܵܘܗܝ. [10]The soul of the wicked hath desired evil, Not gracious in his eyes is his neighbour.
[11]ܘܲܒ̣ܬ̣ܘܼܟܹ̇ܗ ܕܒ̣ܝܼܫܵܐ ܡܸܬ̣ܚܲܟܲܡ ܫܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ. ܘܚܲܟ̇ܝܼܡܵܐ ܒܬܲܪܥܝܼܬܹܗ ܡܩܲܒܸ̇ܠ ܝܼܕܲܥܬ̣ܵܐ. [11]When the scorner is punished, the simple becometh wise, And in giving understanding to the wise He receiveth knowledge.
[12]ܘܡܸܣܬܲܟܲܠ ܙܲܕ̇ܝܼܩܵܐ ܠܸܒ̇ܗܘܿܢ ܕܥܵܘܿܠܹ̈ܐ. ܘܕ݂ܵܚܹ̇ܩ ܠܥܵܘܿܠܹ̈ܐ ܠܒ̣ܝܼܫܬܵܐ. [12]The Righteous One is acting wisely Towards the house of the wicked, He is overthrowing the wicked for wickedness.
[13]ܕܲܡܣܲܟܲܪ ܐܸܕ݂ܢܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܠܵܐ ܢܸܫܡܲܥ ܠܡܸܣܟܹ̇ܢܵܐ: ܐܵܦ ܗ̤ܘ ܠܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ: ܘܠܵܐ ܢܸܥܢܹܝܘܗܝ. [13]Whoso is shutting his ear from the cry of the poor, He also doth cry, and is not answered.
[14]ܡܵܘܗܲܒ̣ܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܲܒ̣ܛܘܼܫܝܵܐ: ܡܲܦ̱ܪܩܵܐ ܪܘܼܓ̣ܙܵܐ. ܘܲܕ݂ܚܵܐܹ̇ܣ ܠܡܸܬܲܠ: ܡܥܝܼܪ ܪܘܼܓ̣ܙܵܐ. [14]A gift in secret pacifieth anger, And a bribe in the bosom strong fury.
[15]ܚܲܕ݂ܘܼܬܹܗ ܕܙܲܕ̇ܝܼܩܵܐ ܥܵܒ̣ܕܵܐ ܕܝܼܢܵܐ. ܘܲܬ̣ܒ̣ܵܪܵܐ ܠܥܵܒ̣ܕܲܝ̈ ܥܵܘܼܠܵܐ. [15]To do justice [is] joy to the righteous, But ruin to workers of iniquity.
[16]ܒܲܪܢܵܫܵܐ ܕܛܵܥܹ̇ܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܐܘܼܪܚܵܐ ܕܣܘܼܟܵܠܵܐ: ܥܲܡ ܒܢܲܝ̈ ܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܢܸܬ̇ܬܲܢܲܚ. [16]A man who is wandering from the way of understanding, In an assembly of Rephaim resteth.
[17]ܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܕܚܲܣܝܼܪ ܠܹܗ: ܘܪܵܚܹ̇ܡ ܚܲܕ݂ܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ: ܘܚܲܡܪܵܐ: ܘܲܒ̣ܣܵܡܵܐ: ܠܵܐ ܢܸܥܬܲܪ. [17]Whoso [is] loving mirth [is] a poor man, Whoso is loving wine and oil maketh no wealth.
[18]ܬܲܚܠܘܼܦܹܗ ܕܙܲܕ̇ܝܼܩܵܐ ܥܵܘܿܠܵܐ. ܘܲܚܠܵܦ ܬܪܝܼܨܵܐ ܕܲܓܵܠܵܐ. [18]The wicked [is] an atonement for the righteous, And for the upright the treacherous dealer.
[19]ܛܵܒ̣ ܠܡܸܬܲܒ̣ ܒܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܕܡܲܕ݂ܒ̇ܪܵܐ: ܡ̣ܢ ܕܲܠܡܸܥܡܲܪ ܥܲܡ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ܬ̣ܵܐ ܢܲܨܵܝܬܵܐ ܘܡܲܪܓ̇ܙܵܢܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ. [19]Better to dwell in a wilderness land, Than [with] a woman of contentions and anger.
[20]ܣܝ̣ܡܬ̣ܵܐ ܪܓ̣ܝܼܓ̣ܬܵܐ ܘܡܸܫܚܵܐ ܒܕܲܝܪܵܐ: ܚܸܟ݂ܡ̱ܬ̣ܵܐ. ܘܣܘܼܟܵܠܵܐ ܕܲܒ̣ܢܲܝ̈ܢܵܫܵܐ ܢܸܒ̣ܠ̱ܥܝܼܗ̇. [20]A treasure to be desired, and oil, [Is] in the habitation of the wise, And a foolish man swalloweth it up.
[21]ܕܒ̣ܵܥܹ̇ܐ ܙܲܕܝܼܩܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܘܛܲܝܒ̇ܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ: ܡܸܫܟܲܚ ܚܲܝܹ̈ܐ: ܘܙܲܕܝܼܩܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ: ܘܬܸܫܒ̇ܘܿܚܬܵܐ. [21]Whoso is pursuing righteousness and kindness, Findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
[22]ܠܲܡܕ݂ܝܼܢ̄ܬܵܐ ܕܓܲܢ̄ܒܵܪܹ̈ܐ ܣܠܸܩ ܚܲܟ̇ܝܼܡܵܐ. ܘܲܟ݂ܒܲܫ ܚܸܣܢܵܐ ܕܬ̣ܘܼܟ݂ܠܵܢܵܗ̇. [22]A city of the mighty hath the wise gone up, And bringeth down the strength of its confidence.
[23]ܕܢܵܛ̇ܲܪ ܦܘܼܡܹܗ ܘܠܸܫܵܢܹܗ: ܢܵܛܲܪ ܢܲܦ̮ܫܹܗ ܡ̣ܢ ܐܘܼܠܨܵܢܵܐ. [23]Whoso is keeping his mouth and his tongue, Is keeping from adversities his soul.
[24]ܡܲܪܚܵܐ ܕܥܲܫܝܼܢ ܫܡܹܗ: ܥܵܒܹ̇ܕ݂ ܥܵܘܼܠܵܐ ܒܐܲܟ̇ܬܹܗ. [24]Proud, haughty, scorner [is] his name, Who is working in the wrath of pride.
[25]ܪܸܓ̇ܬܹܗ ܕܲܚܒܸܢܵܢܵܐ ܩܵܛ̇ܠܵܐ ܠܹܗ. ܡܸܛܠ ܕܠܵܐ ܨܵܒܹ̇ܐ ܕܢܸܥܒ̇ـ̈ـܕ݂ܵܢ ܐܝܼܕ݂ܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܥܒ̣ܵܕ݂ܵܐ. [25]The desire of the slothful slayeth him, For his hands have refused to work.
[26]ܘܟ݂ܠܹܗ ܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܪܵܐܹ̇ܓ̣ ܪܸܓ̇ܬ̣ܵܐ. ܙܲܕ̇ܝܼܩܵܐ ܝܵܗܹ̇ܒ̣: ܘܠܵܐ ܚܵܐܹ̇ܣ. [26]All the day desiring he hath desired, And the righteous giveth and withholdeth not.
[27]ܘܕܸܒ̣ܚܵܐ ܕܥܵܘܿܠܹ̈ܐ ܛܡܲܐ ܗ̄ܘܼ. ܡܸܛܠ ܕܲܒ̣ܥܵܘܼܠܵܐ ܡܲܝܬܹ̇ܝܢ ܠܹܗ. [27]The sacrifice of the wicked [is] abomination, Much more when in wickedness he bringeth it.
[28]ܣܵܗܕܵܐ ܕܲܓܵܠܵܐ ܢܹܐܒܲܕ݂. ܘܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܫܵܡ̇ܘܿܥܵܐ ܬܪܝܼܨܵܐܝܼܬ̣ ܡܡܲܠܸܠ. [28]A false witness doth perish, And an attentive man for ever speaketh.
[29]ܚܲܨܝܼ̈ܦܵܢ ܐܲܦܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܥܵܘܿܠܵܐ. ܘܐܲܝܢܵܐ ܕܲܬ̣ܪܝܼܨ ܗ̄ܘܼ: ܐܘܼܪ̈ܚܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܢܲܦ̮ܫܹܗ. [29]A wicked man hath hardened by his face, And the upright -- he prepareth his way.
[30]ܠܲܝܬ̇ ܚܸܟ݂ܡ̱ܬ̣ܵܐ ܐܵܦܠܵܐ ܣܘܼܟܵܠܵܐ: ܐܵܦܠܵܐ ܬܲܪܥܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ: ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ. [30]There is no wisdom, nor understanding, Nor counsel, over-against Jehovah.
[31]ܣܘܼܣܝܵܐ ܡܛܲܝܲܒ̣ ܠܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܕܲܩܪܵܒ̣ܵܐ: ܘܲܕ݂ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܗ̄ܘܼ ܦܘܼܪܩܵܢܵܐ. [31]A horse is prepared for a day of battle, And the deliverance [is] of Jehovah!
