[1]Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsell of the vngodly: nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seate of the scornefull |
[1]Blessed is the man that doth not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful: |
[2]But his delight [is] in the lawe of God: and in [God] his lawe exerciseth himselfe day and night |
[2]But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth he meditate day and night. |
[3]And he shalbe lyke a tree planted by the waters syde, that bryngeth foorth her fruite in due season: and whose leafe wythereth not, for whatsoeuer he doth it shall prosper |
[3]For he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of waters, that will bring forth her fruit in due season: whose leaf shall not fade: so whatsoever he shall do, shall prosper. |
[4][As for] the vngodly [it is] not so [with them:] but they [are] like the chaffe which the winde scattereth abrode |
[4]The wicked are not so, but as the chaff, which the wind driveth away. |
[5]Therefore the vngodly shall not [be able to] stande in the iudgement: neither the sinners in the congregation of the righteous |
[5]Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. |
[6]For God knoweth the way of the righteous: and the way of the vngodly shall perishe |
[6]For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous, and the way of the wicked shall perish. |
