| [1]שִׁ֥יר הַֽמַּעֲלֹ֗ות לְדָ֫וִ֥ד מַחְתִּי בְּאֹמְרִ֣ים לִ֑י בֵּ֖ית יְהוָ֣ה נֵלֵֽךְ׃ |
[1]I rejoiced, when they said to me, We will go into the house of the Lord. |
| [2]עֹ֭מְדֹות הָי֣וּ רַגְלֵ֑ינוּ בִּ֝שְׁעָרַ֗יִךְ יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ |
[2]Our feet shall stand in thy gates, O Jerusalem. |
| [3]יְרוּשָׁלִַ֥ם הַבְּנוּיָ֑ה כְּ֝עִ֗יר שֶׁחֻבְּרָה־לָּ֥הּ יַחְדָּֽו׃ |
[3]Jerusalem is builded as a city, that is compact together in itself: |
| [4]שֶׁשָּׁ֨ם עָל֪וּ שְׁבָטִ֡ים שִׁבְטֵי־יָ֭הּ עֵד֣וּת לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל לְ֝הֹדֹ֗ות לְשֵׁ֣ם יְהוָֽה׃ |
[4]Whereunto the tribes, even the tribes of the Lord go up according to the testimony to Israel, to praise the name of the Lord. |
| [5]כִּ֤י שָׁ֨מָּה ׀ יָשְׁב֣וּ כִסְאֹ֣ות לְמִשְׁפָּ֑ט כִּ֝סְאֹ֗ות לְבֵ֣ית דָּוִֽיד׃ |
[5]For there are thrones set for judgment, even the thrones of the house of David. |
| [6]אֲלוּ שְׁלֹ֣ום יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם יִ֝שְׁלָ֗יוּ אֹהֲבָֽיִךְ׃ |
[6]Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: let them prosper that love thee. |
| [7]יְהִֽי־שָׁלֹ֥ום בְּחֵילֵ֑ךְ לְוָ֗ה בְּאַרְמְנֹותָֽיִךְ׃ |
[7]Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces. |
| [8]לְ֭מַעַן אַחַ֣י וְרֵעָ֑י אֲדַבְּרָה־נָּ֖א שָׁלֹ֣ום בָּֽךְ׃ |
[8]For my brethren and neighbors' sakes I will wish thee now prosperity. |
| [9]לְ֭מַעַן בֵּית־יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ אֲבַקְשָׁ֖ה טֹ֣וב לָֽךְ׃ |
[9]Because of the house of the Lord our God, I will procure thy wealth. |
