[[Praise ye the Lord.]]
[1]PRAISE the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD; praise him, O servants of the LORD. [1]Praise the name of the Lord: ye servants of the Lord, praise him.
[2]You who stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God, [2]Ye that stand in the house of the Lord, and in the courts of the house of our God,
[3]Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good; sing praises to his name, for he is delightful. [3]Praise ye the Lord: for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name: for it is a comely thing.
[4]For the LORD has chosen Jacob to himself, and Israel for his congregation. [4]For the Lord hath chosen Jacob to himself, and Israel for his chief treasure.
[5]For I know that the LORD is great, and that our LORD is above all gods. [5]For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.
[6]Whatsoever the LORD pleases, that he does in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deep places. [6]Whatsoever pleased the Lord, that did he in heaven and in earth, in the sea, and in all the depths.
[7]He causes the clouds to ascend from the ends of the earth; he makes lightnings for the rain; he brings the wind out of his treasuries. [7]He bringeth up the clouds from the ends of the earth, and maketh the lightnings with the rain: he draweth forth the wind out of his treasures.
[8]He smote the first-born of Egypt, both of man and beast, [8]He smote the first born of Egypt both of man and beast.
[9]Who sent forth his signs and wonders into the midst of you, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh and upon all his servants, [9]He hath sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.
[10]Who smote many nations and slew mighty kings; [10]He smote many nations, and slew mighty Kings:
[11]Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan; [11]As Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:
[12]And gave their land for a heritage, a heritage to Israel his people. [12]And gave their land for an inheritance, even an inheritance unto Israel his people.
[13]Thy name, O LORD, endures for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations. [13]Thy name, O Lord, endureth forever: O Lord, thy remembrance is from generation to generation.
[14]For the LORD will judge his people, and he will delight in his servants. [14]For the Lord will judge his people, and be pacified towards his servants.
[15]The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. [15]The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, even the work of men's hands.
[16]They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not; [16]They have a mouth, and speak not: they have eyes and see not.
[17]They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths. [17]They have ears and hear not, neither is there any breath in their mouth.
[18]Let them that make them become like them, and every one who trusts in them. [18]They that make them, are like unto them: so are all that trust in them.
[19]Bless the LORD, O house of Israel; bless the LORD, O house of Aaron; [19]Praise the Lord, ye house of Israel: praise the Lord, ye house of Aaron.
[20]Bless the LORD, O house of Levi; you who fear the LORD, bless the LORD. [20]Praise the Lord, ye house of Levi: ye that fear the Lord, praise the Lord.
[21]Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, who dwells at Jerusalem. Praise the LORD, [21]Praised be the Lord out of Zion, which dwelleth in Jerusalem. Praise ye the Lord.
