[A Psalm for David, of Aggaeus and Zacharias.]
[1]A Psalm of DavidH1732. I will praiseH3034[H8686] thee with my whole heartH3820: before the godsH430 will I sing praiseH2167 unto theeH8762. [1]I will give thee thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart; and I will sing psalms to thee before the angels; for thou hast heard all the words of my mouth.
[2]I will worshipH7812[H8691] toward thy holyH6944 templeH1964, and praiseH3034[H8686] thy nameH8034 for thy lovingkindnessH2617 and for thy truthH571: for thou hast magnifiedH1431[H8689] thy wordH565 above all thy nameH8034. [2]I will worship toward thy holy temple, and give thanks to thy name, on account of thy mercy and thy truth; for thou hast magnified thy holy name above every thing.
[3]In the dayH3117 when I criedH7121[H8804] thou answeredstH6030[H8799] me, and strengthenedstH7292[H8686] me with strengthH5797 in my soulH5315. [3]In whatsoever day I shall call upon thee, hear me speedily; thou shalt abundantly provide me with thy power in my soul.
[4]All the kingsH4428 of the earthH776 shall praiseH3034[H8686] thee, O LORDH3068, when they hearH8085[H8804] the wordsH561 of thy mouthH6310. [4]Let all the kings of the earth, o Lord, give thanks unto thee; for they have heard all the words of thy mouth.
[5]Yea, they shall singH7891[H8799] in the waysH1870 of the LORDH3068: for greatH1419 is the gloryH3519 of the LORDH3068. [5]And let them sing in the ways of the Lord; for great is the glory of the Lord.
[6]Though the LORDH3068 be highH7311[H8802], yet hath he respectH7200[H8799] unto the lowlyH8217: but the proudH1364 he knowethH3045[H8799] afar offH4801. [6]For the Lord is high, and yet regards the lowly; and he knows high things from afar off.
[7]Though I walkH3212[H8799] in the midstH7130 of troubleH6869, thou wilt reviveH2421[H8762] me: thou shalt stretch forthH7971[H8799] thine handH3027 against the wrathH639 of mine enemiesH341[H8802], and thy right handH3225 shall saveH3467 meH8686. [7]Though I should walk in the midst of affliction, thou wilt quicken me; thou hast stretched forth thine hands against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand has saved me.
[8]The LORDH3068 will perfectH1584[H8799] that which concerneth me: thy mercyH2617, O LORDH3068, endureth for everH5769: forsakeH7503[H8686] not the worksH4639 of thine own handsH3027. [8]O Lord, thou shalt recompense them on my behalf: thy mercy, O Lord, endures for ever: overlook not the works of thine hands.
