[1]Lord, who schal dwelle in thi tabernacle; ether who schal reste in thin hooli hil? [1]THE fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have been defiled by their own devices; there is none that does good.
[2]He that entrith with out wem; and worchith riytfulnesse. [2]The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there were any that did understand and seek God.
[3]Which spekith treuthe in his herte; which dide not gile in his tunge. Nethir dide yuel to his neiybore; and took not schenschip ayens hise neiyboris. [3]They are all gone astray and have been rejected all together; there is none that does good; no, not one.
[4]A wickid man is brouyt to nouyt in his siyt; but he glorifieth hem that dreden the Lord. Which swerith to his neiybore, and disseyueth not; [4]They recognized not the workers of iniquity, who devour my people as one eats bread; and they called not upon the LORD.
[5]which yaf not his money to vsure; and took not yiftis on the innocent. He, that doith these thingis, schal not be moued with outen ende. [5]There were they in great fear; for God is in the generation of the righteous.
6[No verse] [6]They have reproached the counsel of the poor, because he trusts on the LORD.
7[No verse] [7]Who shall give out of Zion the salvation to Israel? When the LORD brings back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice and Israel shall be glad.
