| [1]I will love thee dearly, O Lord my strength. |
[1]לַמְנַצֵּחַ לְעֶבֶד יְהוָה לְדָוִד אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר לַיהוָה אֶת־דִּבְרֵי הַשִּׁירָה הַזֹּאת בְּיֹום הִצִּיל־יְהוָה אֹותֹו מִכַּף כָּל־אֹיְבָיו וּמִיַּד שָׁאוּל׃ |
| [2]The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and he that delivereth me, my God and my strength: in him will I trust, my shield, the horn also of my salvation, and my refuge. |
[2]וַיֹּאמַר אֶרְחָמְךָ יְהוָה חִזְקִי׃ |
| [3]I will call upon the Lord, which is worthy to be praised: so shall I be safe from mine enemies. |
[3]יְהוָה סַלְעִי וּמְצוּדָתִי וּמְפַלְטִי אֵלִי צוּרִי אֶחֱסֶה־בֹּו מָגִנִּי וְקֶרֶן־יִשְׁעִי מִשְׂגַּבִּי׃ |
| [4]The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of wickedness made me afraid. |
[4]מְהֻלָּל אֶקְרָא יְהוָה וּמִן־אֹיְבַי אִוָּשֵׁעַ׃ |
| [5]The sorrows of the grave have compassed me about: the snares of death overtook me. |
[5]אֲפָפוּנִי חֶבְלֵי־מָוֶת וְנַחֲלֵי בְלִיַּעַל יְבַעֲתוּנִי׃ |
| [6]But in my trouble did I call upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry did come before him, even into his ears. |
[6]חֶבְלֵי שְׁאֹול סְבָבוּנִי קִדְּמוּנִי מֹוקְשֵׁי מָוֶת׃ |
| [7]Then the earth trembled, and quaked: the foundations also of the mountains moved and shook, because he was angry. |
[7]בַּצַּר־לִי אֶקְרָא יְהוָה וְאֶל־אֱלֹהַי אֲשַׁוֵּעַ יִשְׁמַע מֵהֵיכָלֹו קֹולִי וְשַׁוְעָתִי לְפָנָיו תָּבֹוא בְאָזְנָיו׃ |
| [8]Smoke went out at his nostrils, and a consuming fire out of his mouth: coals were kindled there at. |
[8]וַתִּגְעַשׁ וַתִּרְעַשׁ הָאָרֶץ וּמֹוסְדֵי הָרִים יִרְגָּזוּ וַיִּתְגָּעֲשׁוּ כִּי־חָרָה לֹו׃ |
| [9]He bowed the heavens also and came down, and darkness was under his feet. |
[9]עָלָה עָשָׁן בְּאַפֹּו וְאֵשׁ־מִפִּיו תֹּאכֵל גֶּחָלִים בָּעֲרוּ מִמֶּנּוּ׃ |
| [10]And he rode upon cherub and did fly, and he came flying upon the wings of the wind. |
[10]וַיֵּט שָׁמַיִם וַיֵּרַד וַעֲרָפֶל תַּחַת רַגְלָיו׃ |
| [11]He made darkness his secret place, and his pavilion round about him, even darkness of waters, and clouds of the air. |
[11]וַיִּרְכַּב עַל־כְּרוּב וַיָּעֹף וַיֵּדֶא עַל־כַּנְפֵי־רוּחַ׃ |
| [12]At the brightness of his presence his clouds passed, hailstones and coals of fire. |
[12]יָשֶׁת חֹשֶׁךְ סִתְרֹו סְבִיבֹותָיו סֻכָּתֹו חֶשְׁכַת־מַיִם עָבֵי שְׁחָקִים׃ |
| [13]The Lord also thundered in the heaven, and the Highest gave his voice, hailstones and coals of fire. |
[13]מִנֹּגַהּ נֶגְדֹּו עָבָיו עָבְרוּ בָּרָד וְגַחֲלֵי־אֵשׁ׃ |
| [14]Then he sent out his arrows and scattered them, and he increased lightnings and destroyed them. |
[14]וַיַּרְעֵם בַּשָּׁמַיִם יְהוָה וְעֶלְיֹון יִתֵּן קֹלֹו בָּרָד וְגַחֲלֵי־אֵשׁ׃ |
| [15]And the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuking, O Lord, at the blasting of the breath of thy nostrils. |
[15]וַיִּשְׁלַח חִצָּיו וַיְפִיצֵם וּבְרָקִים רָב וַיְהֻםֵּם׃ |
| [16]He hath sent down from above and taken me: he hath drawn me out of many waters. |
[16]וַיֵּרָאוּ אֲפִיקֵי מַיִם וַיִּגָּלוּ מֹוסְדֹות תֵּבֵל מִגַּעֲרָתְךָ יְהוָה מִנִּשְׁמַת רוּחַ אַפֶּךָ׃ |
| [17]He hath delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hate me: for they were too strong for me. |
[17]יִשְׁלַח מִמָּרֹום יִקָּחֵנִי יַמְשֵׁנִי מִמַּיִם רַבִּים׃ |
| [18]They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay. |
[18]יַצִּילֵנִי מֵאֹיְבִי עָז וּמִשֹּׂנְאַי כִּי־אָמְצוּ מִמֶּנִּי׃ |
| [19]He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me because he favored me. |
[19]יְקַדְּמוּנִי בְיֹום־אֵידִי וַיְהִי־יְהוָה לְמִשְׁעָן לִי׃ |
| [20]The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the pureness of mine hands he recompensed me: |
[20]וַיֹּוצִיאֵנִי לַמֶּרְחָב יְחַלְּצֵנִי כִּי חָפֵץ בִּי׃ |
| [21]Because I kept the ways of the Lord, and did not wickedly against my God. |
[21]יִגְמְלֵנִי יְהוָה כְּצִדְקִי כְּבֹר יָדַי יָשִׁיב לִי׃ |
| [22]For all his Laws were before me, and I did not cast away his commandments from me. |
[22]כִּי־שָׁמַרְתִּי דַּרְכֵי יְהוָה וְלֹא־רָשַׁעְתִּי מֵאֱלֹהָי׃ |
| [23]I was upright also with him, and have kept me from my wickedness. |
[23]כִּי כָל־מִשְׁפָּטָיו לְנֶגְדִּי וְחֻקֹּתָיו לֹא־אָסִיר מֶנִּי׃ |
| [24]Therefore the Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness, and according to the pureness of mine hands in his sight. |
[24]וָאֱהִי תָמִים עִמֹּו וָאֶשְׁתַּמֵּר מֵעֲוֹנִי׃ |
| [25]With the godly thou wilt show thyself godly: with the upright man thou wilt show thyself upright. |
[25]וַיָּשֶׁב־יְהוָה לִי כְצִדְקִי כְּבֹר יָדַי לְנֶגֶד עֵינָיו׃ |
| [26]With the pure thou wilt show thyself pure, and with the froward thou wilt show thyself froward. |
[26]עִם־חָסִיד תִּתְחַסָּד עִם־גְּבַר תָּמִים תִּתַּםָּם׃ |
| [27]Thus thou wilt save the poor people, and wilt cast down the proud looks. |
[27]עִם־נָבָר תִּתְבָּרָר וְעִם־עִקֵּשׁ תִּתְפַּתָּל׃ |
| [28]Surely thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will lighten my darkness. |
[28]כִּי־אַתָּה עַם־עָנִי תֹושִׁיעַ וְעֵינַיִם רָמֹות תַּשְׁפִּיל׃ |
| [29]For by thee I have broken through an host, and by my God I have leaped over a wall. |
[29]כִּי־אַתָּה תָּאִיר נֵרִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהַי יַגִּיהַּ חָשְׁכִּי׃ |
| [30]The way of God is uncorrupt: the word of the Lord is tried in the fire: he is a shield to all that trust in him. |
[30]כִּי־בְךָ אָרֻץ גְּדוּד וּבֵאלֹהַי אֲדַלֶּג־שׁוּר׃ |
| [31]For who is God besides the Lord? And who is mighty save our God? |
[31]הָאֵל תָּמִים דַּרְכֹּו אִמְרַת־יְהוָה צְרוּפָה מָגֵן הוּא לְכֹל הַחֹסִים בֹּו׃ |
| [32]God girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way upright. |
[32]כִּי מִי אֱלֹוהַּ מִבַּלְעֲדֵי יְהוָה וּמִי צוּר זוּלָתִי אֱלֹהֵינוּ׃ |
| [33]He maketh my feet like hinds feet, and setteth me upon mine high places. |
[33]הָאֵל הַמְאַזְּרֵנִי חָיִל וַיִּתֵּן תָּמִים דַּרְכִּי׃ |
| [34]He teacheth mine hands to fight: so that a bow of brass is broken with mine arms. |
[34]מְשַׁוֶּה רַגְלַי כָּאַיָּלֹות וְעַל בָּמֹתַי יַעֲמִידֵנִי׃ |
| [35]Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation, and thy right hand hath stayed me, and thy loving kindness hath caused me to increase. |
[35]מְלַמֵּד יָדַי לַמִּלְחָמָה וְנִחֲתָה קֶשֶׁת־נְחוּשָׁה זְרֹועֹתָי׃ |
| [36]Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, and mine heels have not slid. |
[36]וַתִּתֶּן־לִי מָגֵן יִשְׁעֶךָ וִימִינְךָ תִסְעָדֵנִי וְעַנְוַתְךָ תַרְבֵּנִי׃ |
| [37]I have pursued mine enemies, and taken them, and have not turned again till I had consumed them. |
[37]תַּרְחִיב צַעֲדִי תַחְתָּי וְלֹא מָעֲדוּ קַרְסֻלָּי׃ |
| [38]I have wounded them, that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet. |
[38]אֶרְדֹּוף אֹויְבַי וְאַשִּׂיגֵם וְלֹא־אָשׁוּב עַד־כַּלֹּותָם׃ |
| [39]For thou hast girded me with strength to battle them, that rose against me, thou hast subdued under me. |
[39]אֶמְחָצֵם וְלֹא־יֻכְלוּ קוּם יִפְּלוּ תַּחַת רַגְלָי׃ |
| [40]And thou hast given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me. |
[40]וַתְּאַזְּרֵנִי חַיִל לַמִּלְחָמָה תַּכְרִיעַ קָמַי תַּחְתָּי׃ |
| [41]They cried but there was none to save them, even unto the Lord, but he answered them not. |
[41]וְאֹיְבַי נָתַתָּה לִּי עֹרֶף וּמְשַׂנְאַי אַצְמִיתֵם׃ |
| [42]Then I did beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did tread them flat as the clay in the streets. |
[42]יְשַׁוְּעוּ וְאֵין־מֹושִׁיעַ עַל־יְהוָה וְלֹא עָנָם׃ |
| [43]Thou hast delivered me from the contentions of the people: thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people, whom I have not known, shall serve me. |
[43]וְאֶשְׁחָקֵם כְּעָפָר עַל־פְּנֵי־רוּחַ כְּטִיט חוּצֹות אֲרִיקֵם׃ |
| [44]As soon as they hear, they shall obey me: the strangers shall be in subjection to me. |
[44]תְּפַלְּטֵנִי מֵרִיבֵי עָם תְּשִׂימֵנִי לְרֹאשׁ גֹּויִם עַם לֹא־יָדַעְתִּי יַעַבְדוּנִי׃ |
| [45]Strangers shall shrink away, and fear in their privy chambers. |
[45]לְשֵׁמַע אֹזֶן יִשָּׁמְעוּ לִי בְּנֵי־נֵכָר יְכַחֲשׁוּ־לִי׃ |
| [46]Let the Lord live, and blessed be my strength, and the God of my salvation be exalted. |
[46]בְּנֵי־נֵכָר יִבֹּלוּ וְיַחְרְגוּ מִמִּסְגְּרֹותֵיהֶם׃ |
| [47]It is God that giveth me power to avenge me, and subdueth the people under me. |
[47]חַי־יְהוָה וּבָרוּךְ צוּרִי וְיָרוּם אֱלֹוהֵי יִשְׁעִי׃ |
| [48]O my deliverer from mine enemies, even thou hast set me up from them, that rose against me: thou hast delivered me from the cruel man. |
[48]הָאֵל הַנֹּותֵן נְקָמֹות לִי וַיַּדְבֵּר עַמִּים תַּחְתָּי׃ |
| [49]Therefore I will praise thee, O Lord, among the nations, and will sing unto thy name. |
[49]מְפַלְּטִי מֵאֹיְבָי אַף מִן־קָמַי תְּרֹומְמֵנִי מֵאִישׁ חָמָס תַּצִּילֵנִי׃ |
| [50]Great deliverances giveth he unto his king, and showeth mercy to his anointed , even to David, and to his seed forever. |
[50]עַל־כֵּן אֹודְךָ בַגֹּויִם יְהוָה וּלְשִׁמְךָ אֲזַמֵּרָה׃ |

[51]מִגְדֹּל [Q: מַגְדִּיל] יְשׁוּעֹות מַלְכֹּו וְעֹשֶׂה חֶסֶד לִמְשִׁיחֹו לְדָוִד וּלְזַרְעֹו עַד־עֹולָם׃ |
