Pes(Lam)
[[To him that excelleth.] A Psalm Chapter of David.]
[1]The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble: the name of the God of Jacob defend thee: [1]MAY the LORD answer you in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend you;
[2]Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion. [2]Send you help from his sanctuary, and strengthen you out of Zion.
[3]Let him remember all thine offerings, and turn thy burnt offerings into ashes. Selah: [3]Let the LORD remember all your offerings, and make acceptable your burnt sacrifices.
[4]And grant thee according to thine heart, and fulfill all thy purpose: [4]May the LORD grant you according to your own heart, and fulfil all your counsel.
[5]That we may rejoice in thy salvation, and set up the banner in the name of our God, when the Lord shall perform all thy petitions. [5]We will be glorified in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will be exalted; the LORD fulfil all your petitions.
[6]Now know I that the Lord will help his anointed, and will hear him from his sanctuary, by the mighty help of his right hand. [6]Henceforth it is known that the LORD has saved his anointed; and has heard him from his holy heaven and saved with the strength of his right hand.
[7]Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. [7]Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will prevail through the name of the LORD our God.
[8]They are brought down and fallen, but we are risen, and stand upright. [8]They are bowed down and fallen; but we are risen and stand ready.
[9]Save Lord: let the king hear us in the day that we call. [9]O LORD, save us, and let our King answer us in the day when we call upon him.
