[1]τῷ δαυιδ ὁπότε ἠλλοίωσεν τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἐναντίον αβιμελεχ καὶ ἀπέλυσεν αὐτόν καὶ ἀπῆλθεν [1]Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for it becometh upright men to be thankful.
[2]εὐλογήσω τὸν κύριον ἐν παντὶ καιρῷ διὰ παντὸς ἡ αἴνεσις αὐτοῦ ἐν τῷ στόματί μου [2]Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with viol and instrument of ten strings.
[3]ἐν τῷ κυρίῳ ἐπαινεσθήσεται ἡ ψυχή μου ἀκουσάτωσαν πραεῖς καὶ εὐφρανθήτωσαν [3]Sing unto him a new song: sing cheerfully with a loud voice.
[4]μεγαλύνατε τὸν κύριον σὺν ἐμοί καὶ ὑψώσωμεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό [4]For the word of the Lord is righteous, and all his works are faithful.
[5]ἐξεζήτησα τὸν κύριον καὶ ἐπήκουσέν μου καὶ ἐκ πασῶν τῶν παροικιῶν μου ἐρρύσατό με [5]He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
[6]προσέλθατε πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ φωτίσθητε καὶ τὰ πρόσωπα ὑμῶν οὐ μὴ καταισχυνθῇ [6]By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
[7]οὗτος ὁ πτωχὸς ἐκέκραξεν καὶ ὁ κύριος εἰσήκουσεν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐκ πασῶν τῶν θλίψεων αὐτοῦ ἔσωσεν αὐτόν [7]He gathereth the waters of the sea together as upon an heap, and layeth up the depths in his treasures.
[8]παρεμβαλεῖ ἄγγελος κυρίου κύκλῳ τῶν φοβουμένων αὐτὸν καὶ ῥύσεται αὐτούς [8]Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all them that dwell in the world, fear him.
[9]γεύσασθε καὶ ἴδετε ὅτι χρηστὸς ὁ κύριος μακάριος ἀνήρ ὃς ἐλπίζει ἐπ αὐτόν [9]For he spake, and it was done: he commanded, and it stood.
[10]φοβήθητε τὸν κύριον οἱ ἅγιοι αὐτοῦ ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ὑστέρημα τοῖς φοβουμένοις αὐτόν [10]The Lord breaketh the counsel of the heathen, and bringeth to naught the devices of the people.
[11]πλούσιοι ἐπτώχευσαν καὶ ἐπείνασαν οἱ δὲ ἐκζητοῦντες τὸν κύριον οὐκ ἐλαττωθήσονται παντὸς ἀγαθοῦ διάψαλμα [11]The counsel of the Lord shall stand forever, and the thoughts of his heart throughout all ages.
[12]δεῦτε τέκνα ἀκούσατέ μου φόβον κυρίου διδάξω ὑμᾶς [12]Blessed is that nation, whose God is the Lord: even the people that he hath chosen for his inheritance.
[13]τίς ἐστιν ἄνθρωπος ὁ θέλων ζωὴν ἀγαπῶν ἡμέρας ἰδεῖν ἀγαθάς [13]The Lord looketh down from heaven, and beholdeth all the children of men.
[14]παῦσον τὴν γλῶσσάν σου ἀπὸ κακοῦ καὶ χείλη σου τοῦ μὴ λαλῆσαι δόλον [14]From the habitation of his dwelling he beholdeth all them that dwell in the earth.
[15]ἔκκλινον ἀπὸ κακοῦ καὶ ποίησον ἀγαθόν ζήτησον εἰρήνην καὶ δίωξον αὐτήν [15]He fashioneth their hearts every one, and understandeth all their works.
[16]ὀφθαλμοὶ κυρίου ἐπὶ δικαίους καὶ ὦτα αὐτοῦ εἰς δέησιν αὐτῶν [16]The king is not saved by the multitude of an host, neither is the mighty man delivered by great strength.
[17]πρόσωπον δὲ κυρίου ἐπὶ ποιοῦντας κακὰ τοῦ ἐξολεθρεῦσαι ἐκ γῆς τὸ μνημόσυνον αὐτῶν [17]A horse is a vain help, and shall not deliver any by his great strength.
[18]ἐκέκραξαν οἱ δίκαιοι καὶ ὁ κύριος εἰσήκουσεν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐκ πασῶν τῶν θλίψεων αὐτῶν ἐρρύσατο αὐτούς [18]Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, and upon them, that trust in his mercy,
[19]ἐγγὺς κύριος τοῖς συντετριμμένοις τὴν καρδίαν καὶ τοὺς ταπεινοὺς τῷ πνεύματι σώσει [19]To deliver their souls from death, and to preserve them in famine.
[20]πολλαὶ αἱ θλίψεις τῶν δικαίων καὶ ἐκ πασῶν αὐτῶν ῥύσεται αὐτούς [20]Our soul waiteth for the Lord: for he is our help and our shield.
[21]κύριος φυλάσσει πάντα τὰ ὀστᾶ αὐτῶν ἓν ἐξ αὐτῶν οὐ συντριβήσεται [21]Surely our heart shall rejoice in him, because we trusted in his holy name.
[22]θάνατος ἁμαρτωλῶν πονηρός καὶ οἱ μισοῦντες τὸν δίκαιον πλημμελήσουσιν [22]Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, as we trust in thee.
[23]λυτρώσεται κύριος ψυχὰς δούλων αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐ μὴ πλημμελήσωσιν πάντες οἱ ἐλπίζοντες ἐπ αὐτόν 23[No verse]
