[[A Psalm Chapter of David, when he changed his behavior before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.]]
[1]I WILL bless the LORD at all times; his praises shall continually be in my mouth. [1]I will alway give thanks unto the Lord: his praise shall be in my mouth continually.
[2]My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; let the humble hear and be glad. [2]My soul shall glory in the Lord: the humble shall hear it, and be glad.
[3]O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. [3]Praise ye the Lord with me, and let us magnify his name together.
[4]I sought the LORD, and he heard and delivered me from all my troubles. [4]I sought the Lord, and he heard me: yea, he delivered me out of all my fear.
[5]Look towards him and trust in him, and you shall not be disappointed. [5]They shall look unto him, and run to him: and their faces shall not be ashamed, saying,
[6]This poor man called on him, and he heard him and saved him from all his troubles. [6]This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
[7]The host of angels of the LORD encamps round about them that worship him, and delivers them. [7]The angel of the Lord pitcheth round about them, that fear him, and delivereth them.
[8]O taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man that trusts in him. [8]Taste ye and see, how gracious the Lord is: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
[9]The rich have become poor and suffer hunger; [9]Fear the Lord, ye his saints: for nothing wanteth to them that fear him.
[10]They that seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. [10]The lions do lack and suffer hunger, but they, which seek the Lord, shall want nothing that is good.
[11]Come, you children, listen to me, and I will teach you reverence for the LORD. [11]Come children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
[12]Where is the man who desires not life and many days that he may see the good time to come? [12]What man is he, that desireth life, and loveth long days for to see good?
[13]Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking guile. [13]Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips, that they speak no guile.
[14]Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. [14]Eschew evil and do good: seek peace and follow after it.
[15]The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to hear them. [15]The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
[16]The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. [16]But the face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off their remembrance from the earth.
[17]The righteous cried, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. [17]The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth them, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
[18]The LORD is near to them that are brokenhearted, and he saves those who are humble in spirit. [18]The Lord is near unto them that are of a contrite heart, and will save such as be afflicted in Spirit.
[19]Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the LORD delivers him out of them all. [19]Great are the troubles of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
[20]He keeps all his bones, not one of them is broken. [20]He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
[21]Evil shall slay the wicked, and they that hate the righteous shall be destroyed. [21]But malice shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous, shall perish.
[22]The LORD redeems the soul of his servants, and none of them that trust in him shall be condemned. [22]The Lord redeemeth the souls of his servants: and none, that trust in him, shall perish.
