| [1]לְדָוִד רִיבָה יְהוָה אֶת־יְרִיבַי לְחַם אֶת־לֹחֲמָי׃ |
[1]`The title of the fyue and thrittithe salm. `To victorie, to Dauid, `the seruaunt of the Lord. |
| [2]הַחֲזֵק מָגֵן וְצִנָּה וְקוּמָה בְּעֶזְרָתִי׃ |
[2]The vniust man seide, that he trespasse in hym silf; the drede of God is not bifor hise iyen. |
| [3]וְהָרֵק חֲנִית וּסְגֹר לִקְרַאת רֹדְפָי אֱמֹר לְנַפְשִׁי יְשֻׁעָתֵךְ אָנִי׃ |
[3]For he dide gilefuli in the siyt of God; that his wickidnesse be foundun to hatrede. |
| [4]יֵבֹשׁוּ וְיִכָּלְמוּ מְבַקְשֵׁי נַפְשִׁי יִסֹּגוּ אָחֹור וְיַחְפְּרוּ חֹשְׁבֵי רָעָתִי׃ |
[4]The wordis of his mouth ben wickidnesse and gile, he nolde vndirstonde to do wel. |
| [5]יִהְיוּ כְּמֹץ לִפְנֵי־רוּחַ וּמַלְאַךְ יְהוָה דֹּוחֶה׃ |
[5]He thouyte wickidnesse in his bed, he stood nyy al weie not good; forsothe he hatide not malice. |
| [6]יְהִי־דַרְכָּם חֹשֶׁךְ וַחֲלַקְלַקֹּות וּמַלְאַךְ יְהוָה רֹדְפָם׃ |
[6]Lord, thi merci is in heuene; and thi treuthe is `til to cloudis. |
| [7]כִּי־חִנָּם טָמְנוּ־לִי שַׁחַת רִשְׁתָּם חִנָּם חָפְרוּ לְנַפְשִׁי׃ |
[7]Thi riytfulnesse is as the hillis of God; thi domes ben myche depthe of watris. Lord, thou schalt saue men and beestis; |
| [8]תְּבֹואֵהוּ שֹׁואָה לֹא־יֵדָע וְרִשְׁתֹּו אֲשֶׁר־טָמַן תִּלְכְּדֹו בְּשֹׁואָה יִפָּל־בָּהּ׃ |
[8]as thou, God, hast multiplied thi merci. But the sones of men; schulen hope in the hilyng of thi wyngis. |
| [9]וְנַפְשִׁי תָּגִיל בַּיהוָה תָּשִׂישׂ בִּישׁוּעָתֹו׃ |
[9]Thei schulen be fillid gretli of the plentee of thin hows; and thou schalt yyue drynke to hem with the steef streem of thi likyng. |
| [10]כָּל עַצְמֹותַי תֹּאמַרְנָה יְהוָה מִי כָמֹוךָ מַצִּיל עָנִי מֵחָזָק מִמֶּנּוּ וְעָנִי וְאֶבְיֹון מִגֹּזְלֹו׃ |
[10]For the wel of life is at thee; and in thi liyt we schulen se liyt. |
| [11]יְקוּמוּן עֵדֵי חָמָס אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יָדַעְתִּי יִשְׁאָלוּנִי׃ |
[11]Lord, sette forth thi mercy to hem, that knowen thee; and thi ryytfulnesse to hem that ben of riytful herte. |
| [12]יְשַׁלְּמוּנִי רָעָה תַּחַת טֹובָה שְׁכֹול לְנַפְשִׁי׃ |
[12]The foot of pryde come not to me; and the hond of the synnere moue me not. |
| [13]וַאֲנִי בַּחֲלֹותָם לְבוּשִׁי שָׂק עִנֵּיתִי בַצֹּום נַפְשִׁי וּתְפִלָּתִי עַל־חֵיקִי תָשׁוּב׃ |
[13]There thei felden doun, that worchen wickidnesse; thei ben cast out, and myyten not stonde. |
| [14]כְּרֵעַ־כְּאָח לִי הִתְהַלָּכְתִּי כַּאֲבֶל־אֵם קֹדֵר שַׁחֹותִי׃ |

| [15]וּבְצַלְעִי שָׂמְחוּ וְנֶאֱסָפוּ נֶאֶסְפוּ עָלַי נֵכִים וְלֹא יָדַעְתִּי קָרְעוּ וְלֹא־דָמּוּ׃ |

| [16]בְּחַנְפֵי לַעֲגֵי מָעֹוג חָרֹק עָלַי שִׁנֵּימֹו׃ |

| [17]אֲדֹנָי כַּמָּה תִּרְאֶה הָשִׁיבָה נַפְשִׁי מִשֹּׁאֵיהֶם מִכְּפִירִים יְחִידָתִי׃ |

| [18]אֹודְךָ בְּקָהָל רָב בְּעַם עָצוּם אֲהַלְלֶךָּ׃ |

| [19]אַל־יִשְׂמְחוּ־לִי אֹיְבַי שֶׁקֶר שֹׂנְאַי חִנָּם יִקְרְצוּ־עָיִן׃ |

| [20]כִּי לֹא שָׁלֹום יְדַבֵּרוּ וְעַל רִגְעֵי־אֶרֶץ דִּבְרֵי מִרְמֹות יַחֲשֹׁבוּן׃ |

| [21]וַיַּרְחִיבוּ עָלַי פִּיהֶם אָמְרוּ הֶאָח הֶאָח רָאֲתָה עֵינֵינוּ׃ |

| [22]רָאִיתָה יְהוָה אַל־תֶּחֱרַשׁ אֲדֹנָי אֲל־תִּרְחַק מִמֶּנִּי׃ |

| [23]הָעִירָה וְהָקִיצָה לְמִשְׁפָּטִי אֱלֹהַי וַאדֹנָי לְרִיבִי׃ |

| [24]שָׁפְטֵנִי כְצִדְקְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהָי וְאַל־יִשְׂמְחוּ־לִי׃ |

| [25]אַל־יֹאמְרוּ בְלִבָּם הֶאָח נַפְשֵׁנוּ אַל־יֹאמְרוּ בִּלַּעֲנוּהוּ׃ |

| [26]יֵבֹשׁוּ וְיַחְפְּרוּ יַחְדָּו שְׂמֵחֵי רָעָתִי יִלְבְּשׁוּ־בֹשֶׁת וּכְלִמָּה הַמַּגְדִּילִים עָלָי׃ |

| [27]יָרֹנּוּ וְיִשְׂמְחוּ חֲפֵצֵי צִדְקִי וְיֹאמְרוּ תָמִיד יִגְדַּל יְהוָה הֶחָפֵץ שְׁלֹום עַבְדֹּו׃ |

| [28]וּלְשֹׁונִי תֶּהְגֶּה צִדְקֶךָ כָּל־הַיֹּום תְּהִלָּתֶךָ׃ |
