[[A Psalm Chapter of David.]]
[1]Fret not thyself because of the wicked men, neither be envious for the evil doers. [1]A Psalm of David. Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, neither be thou envious against them that work unrighteousness.
[2]For they shall soon be cut down like grass, and shall wither as the green herb. [2]For they shall soon wither like the grass, and fade as the green herb.
[3]Trust thou in the Lord and do good: dwell in the land, and thou shalt be fed assuredly. [3]Trust in ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎, and do good; dwell in the land, and cherish faithfulness.
[4]And delight thyself in the Lord, and he shall give thee thine heart's desire. [4]So shalt thou delight thyself in ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎; and He shall give thee the petitions of thy heart.
[5]Commit thy way unto the Lord, and trust in him, and he shall bring it to pass. [5]Commit thy way unto ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎; trust also in Him, and He will bring it to pass.
[6]And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. [6]And He will make thy righteousness to go forth as the light, and thy right as the noonday.
[7]Wait patiently upon the Lord and hope in him: fret not thyself for him which prospereth in his way: nor for the man that bringeth his enterprises to pass. [7]Resign thyself unto ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎, and wait patiently for Him; fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
[8]Cease from anger, and leave off wrath: fret not thyself also to do evil. [8]Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; fret not thyself, it tendeth only to evil-doing.
[9]For evildoers shall be cut off, and they that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the land. [9]For evil-doers shall be cut off; but those that wait for ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎, they shall inherit the land.
[10]Therefore yet a little while, and the wicked shall not appear, and thou shalt look after his place, and he shall not be found. [10]And yet a little while, and the wicked is no more; yea, thou shalt look well at his place, and he is not.
[11]But meek men shall possess the earth, and shall have their delight in the multitude of peace. [11]But the humble shall inherit the land, and delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
[12]The wicked practiseth against the just, and gnasheth his teeth against him. [12]The wicked plotteth against the righteous, and gnasheth at him with his teeth.
[13]But the Lord shall laugh him to scorn: for he seeth, that his day is coming. [13]The Lord doth laugh at him; for He seeth that his day is coming.
[14]The wicked have drawn their sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. [14]The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow; to cast down the poor and needy, to slay such as are upright in the way;
[15]But their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. [15]Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
[16]A small thing unto the just man is better, then great riches to the wicked and mighty. [16]Better is a little that the righteous hath than the abundance of many wicked.
[17]For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the just men. [17]For the arms of the wicked shall be broken; but YH upholdeth the righteous.
[18]The Lord knoweth the days of upright men, and their inheritance shall be perpetual. [18]‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ knoweth the days of them that are wholehearted; and their inheritance shall be for ever.
[19]They shall not be confounded in the perilous time, and in the days of famine they shall have enough. [19]They shall not be ashamed in the time of evil; and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
[20]But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be consumed as the fat of lambs: even with the smoke shall they consume away. [20]For the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ shall be as the fat of lambs—they shall pass away in smoke, they shall pass away.
[21]The wicked borroweth and payeth not again. but the righteous is merciful, and giveth. [21]The wicked borroweth, and payeth not; but the righteous dealeth graciously, and giveth.
[22]For such as be blessed of God, shall inherit the land, and they that be cursed of him, shall be cut off. [22]For such as are blessed of Him shall inherit the land; and they that are cursed of Him shall be cut off.
[23]The paths of man are directed by the Lord: for he loveth his way. [23]It is of ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ that a man's goings are established; and He delighted in his way.
[24]Though he fall, he shall not be cast off: for the Lord putteth under his hand. [24]Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ upholdeth his hand.
[25]I have been young, and am old: yet I saw never the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. [25]I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
[26]But he is ever merciful and lendeth, and his seed enjoyeth the blessing. [26]All the day long he dealeth graciously, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
[27]Flee from evil and do good, and dwell forever. [27]Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
[28]For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints: they shall be preserved forevermore: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. [28]Fo ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ loveth justice, and forsaketh not His saints; they are preserved for ever; but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
[29]The righteous men shall inherit the land, and dwell therein forever. [29]The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
[30]The mouth of the righteous will speak of wisdom, and his tongue will talk of judgment. [30]The mouth of the righteous uttereth wisdom, and his tongue speaketh justice.
[31]For the law of his God is in his heart, and his steps shall not slide. [31]The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps slide.
[32]The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. [32]The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
[33]But the Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him, when he is judged. [33]‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ will not leave him in his hand, nor suffer him to be condemned when he is judged.
[34]Wait thou on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee, that thou shalt inherit the land: when the wicked men shall perish, thou shalt see. [34]Wait for ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎, and keep His way, and He will exalt thee to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
[35]I have seen the wicked strong, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. [35]I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a leafy tree in its native soil.
[36]Yet he passed away, and lo, he was gone, and I sought him, but he could not be found. [36]But one passed by, and, lo, he was not; yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
[37]Mark the upright man, and behold the just: for the end of that man is peace. [37]Mark the man of integrity, and behold the upright; for there is a future for the man of peace.
[38]But the transgressors shall be destroyed together, and the end of the wicked shall be cut off. [38]But transgressors shall be destroyed together; the future of the wicked shall be cut off.
[39]But the salvation of the righteous men shall be of the Lord: he shall be their strength in the time of trouble. [39]But the salvation of the righteous is of ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎; He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.
[40]For the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and shall save them, because they trust in him. [40]An ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ helpeth them, and delivereth them; He delivereth them from the wicked, and saveth them, because they have taken refuge in Him.
