[1]To the chief MusicianH5329[H8764], A PsalmH4210 of DavidH1732. BlessedH835 is he that considerethH7919[H8688] the poorH1800: the LORDH3068 will deliverH4422[H8762] him in timeH3117 of troubleH7451. [1]Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
[2]The LORDH3068 will preserveH8104[H8799] him, and keep him aliveH2421[H8762]; and he shall be blessedH833[H8795] upon the earthH776: and thou wilt not deliverH5414[H8799] him unto the willH5315 of his enemiesH341.[H8802] [2]The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
[3]The LORDH3068 will strengthenH5582[H8799] him upon the bedH6210 of languishingH1741: thou wilt makeH2015[H8804] all his bedH4904 in his sicknessH2483. [3]The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.
[4]I saidH559[H8804], LORDH3068, be mercifulH2603[H8798] unto me: healH7495[H8798] my soulH5315; for I have sinnedH2398 against theeH8804. [4]I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.
[5]Mine enemiesH341[H8802] speakH559[H8799] evilH7451 of me, When shall he dieH4191[H8799], and his nameH8034 perishH6?[H8804] [5]Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?
[6]And if he comeH935[H8804] to seeH7200[H8800] me, he speakethH1696[H8762] vanityH7723: his heartH3820 gatherethH6908[H8799] iniquityH205 to itself; when he goethH3318[H8799] abroadH2351, he tellethH1696 itH8762. [6]And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
[7]All that hateH8130[H8802] me whisperH3907[H8691] togetherH3162 against me: against me do they deviseH2803[H8799] my hurtH7451. [7]All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.
[8]An evilH1100 diseaseH1697, say they, cleaveth fastH3332[H8803] unto him: and now that he liethH7901[H8804] he shall rise upH6965[H8800] no moreH3254.[H8686] [8]An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.
[9]Yea, mine own familiarH7965 friendH376, in whom I trustedH982[H8804], which did eatH398[H8802] of my breadH3899, hath lifted upH1431[H8689] his heel against meH6119. [9]Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.
[10]But thou, O LORDH3068, be mercifulH2603[H8798] unto me, and raise me upH6965[H8685], that I may requiteH7999 themH8762. [10]But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.
[11]By this I knowH3045[H8804] that thou favourestH2654[H8804] me, because mine enemyH341[H8802] doth not triumphH7321 over meH8686. [11]By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
[12]And as for me, thou upholdestH8551[H8804] me in mine integrityH8537, and settestH5324[H8686] me before thy faceH6440 for everH5769. [12]And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.
[13]BlessedH1288[H8803] be the LORDH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478 from everlastingH5769, and to everlastingH5769. AmenH543, and AmenH543. [13]Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.
