[[To him that excelleth on Neginoth.] A Psalm Chapter of David, to give instruction. When the Ziphims came and said unto Saul, Is not David hid among us?]
[1]Save me, O God, by thy name, and by thy power judge me. [1]SAVE me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength,
[2]O God, hear my prayer: hearken unto the words of my mouth. [2]Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.
[3]For strangers are risen up against me, and tyrants seek my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah. [3]For strangers are risen up against me, and the mighty seek after my life; they have disregarded thee, O God.
[4]Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. [4]Behold, God is my helper; the LORD sustains my soul.
[5]He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: Oh cut them off in thy truth! [5]Bring disaster to mine enemies; silence them in thy truth.
[6]Then I will sacrifice freely unto thee: I will praise thy name, O Lord, because it is good. [6]I will freely sacrifice to thee; I will praise thy name, O LORD, for it is good;
[7]For he hath delivered me out of all trouble, and mine eye hath seen my desire upon mine enemies. [7]For thou hast delivered me out of all troubles; and mine eye hath seen mine enemies defeated.
