Peshitta (Lamsa, 1933)
Pes(Lam)
[1]εἰς τὸ τέλος ἐν ὕμνοις ψαλμὸς ᾠδῆς [1]MAKE a joyful noise unto God, all lands.
[2]ὁ θεὸς οἰκτιρήσαι ἡμᾶς καὶ εὐλογήσαι ἡμᾶς ἐπιφάναι τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἐφ ἡμᾶς διάψαλμα [2]Sing the honor of his name; sing the honor of his majesty.
[3]τοῦ γνῶναι ἐν τῇ γῇ τὴν ὁδόν σου ἐν πᾶσιν ἔθνεσιν τὸ σωτήριόν σου [3]Say unto God, How wonderful are thy works! Through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
[4]ἐξομολογησάσθωσάν σοι λαοί ὁ θεός ἐξομολογησάσθωσάν σοι λαοὶ πάντες [4]All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thy name; they shall glorify thy name forever.
[5]εὐφρανθήτωσαν καὶ ἀγαλλιάσθωσαν ἔθνη ὅτι κρινεῖς λαοὺς ἐν εὐθύτητι καὶ ἔθνη ἐν τῇ γῇ ὁδηγήσεις διάψαλμα [5]They shall say, Come and see the works of God; for his wonders are great toward the children of men.
[6]ἐξομολογησάσθωσάν σοι λαοί ὁ θεός ἐξομολογησάσθωσάν σοι λαοὶ πάντες [6]He turns the sea into dry land: they crossed through the river on foot; there did we rejoice in him.
[7]γῆ ἔδωκεν τὸν καρπὸν αὐτῆς εὐλογήσαι ἡμᾶς ὁ θεὸς ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν [7]He rules by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations; let not the rebellious exalt themselves.
[8]εὐλογήσαι ἡμᾶς ὁ θεός καὶ φοβηθήτωσαν αὐτὸν πάντα τὰ πέρατα τῆς γῆς [8]O bless our God, you people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard,
9[No verse] [9]Who holds our soul in life, and suffers not our feet to be moved.
10[No verse] [10]For thou, O God, hast proved us; thou hast tried us as silver is tried.
11[No verse] [11]Thou didst bring us into the net; thou didst lay affliction upon our loins.
12[No verse] [12]Thou hast caused us to be in servitude; we went through fire and through water; finally thou didst bring us out into a comfortable place.
13[No verse] [13]I will go into thy house with gifts; I will pay thee my vows.
14[No verse] [14]Which my lips have uttered and my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.
15[No verse] [15]I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the savour of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats.
16[No verse] [16]Come and hear, all you servants of God, and I will declare what he has done for my soul.
17[No verse] [17]I cried to him with my mouth, and he has answered me; I extolled him with my tongue.
18[No verse] [18]If thou behold iniquity in my heart, O LORD, deliver me not.
19[No verse] [19]But verily God has heard me; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.
20[No verse] [20]Blessed be God, who has not rejected my prayer nor turned his mercy from me.
