Vulgata Clementina (1592)
Vul
[1]In thee, O Lord, I trust: let me never be ashamed. [1]Psalmus, in Salomonem.
[2]Rescue me and deliver me in thy righteousness: incline thine ear unto me and save me. [2]Deus, judicium tuum regi da, et justitiam tuam filio regis; judicare populum tuum in justitia, et pauperes tuos in judicio.
[3]Be thou my strong rock, where unto I may alway resort: thou hast given commandment to save me: for thou art my rock, and my fortress. [3]Suscipiant montes pacem populo, et colles justitiam.
[4]Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked: out of the hand of the evil and cruel man. [4]Judicabit pauperes populi, et salvos faciet filios pauperum, et humiliabit calumniatorem.
[5]For thou art mine hope, O Lord God, even my trust from my youth.
[6]Upon thee have I been stayed from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be always of thee. [6]Descendet sicut pluvia in vellus, et sicut stillicidia stillantia super terram.
[7]I am become as it were a monster unto many: but thou art my sure trust. [7]Orietur in diebus ejus justitia, et abundantia pacis, donec auferatur luna.
[8]Let my mouth be filled with thy praise, and with thy glory every day. [8]Et dominabitur a mari usque ad mare, et a flumine usque ad terminos orbis terrarum.
[9]Cast me not off in the time of age: forsake me not when my strength faileth. [9]Coram illo procident Æthiopes, et inimici ejus terram lingent.
[10]For mine enemies speak of me, and they that lay wait for my soul, take their counsel together, [10]Reges Tharsis et insulæ munera offerent; reges Arabum et Saba dona adducent;
[11]Saying, God hath forsaken him: pursue and take him, for there is none to deliver him.
[12]Go not far from me, O God: my God, haste thee to help me.
[13]Let them be confounded and consumed that are against my soul: let them be covered with reproof and confusion, that seek mine hurt. [13]Parcet pauperi et inopi, et animas pauperum salvas faciet.
[14]But I will wait continually, and will praise thee more and more.
[15]My mouth shall daily rehearse thy righteousness, and thy salvation: for I know not the number.
[16]I will go forward in the strength of the Lord God, and will make mention of thy righteousness , even of thine only. [16]Et erit firmamentum in terra in summis montium; superextolletur super Libanum fructus ejus, et florebunt de civitate sicut fœnum terræ.
[17]O God, thou hast taught me from my youth even until now: therefore will I tell of thy wondrous works, [17]Sit nomen ejus benedictum in sæcula; ante solem permanet nomen ejus. Et benedicentur in ipso omnes tribus terræ; omnes gentes magnificabunt eum.
[18]Yea, even unto mine old age and gray head, O God: forsake me not, until I have declared thine arm unto this generation, and thy power to all them, that shall come. [18]Benedictus Dominus, Deus Israël, qui facit mirabilia solus.
[19]And thy righteousness, O God, I will exalt on high: for thou hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee! [19]Et benedictum nomen majestatis ejus in æternum, et replebitur majestate ejus omnis terra. Fiat, fiat.
[20]Which hast showed me great troubles and adversities, but thou wilt return and revive me, and wilt come again, and take me up from the depth of the earth. [20]Defecerunt laudes David, filii Jesse.
[21]Thou wilt increase mine honor, and return and comfort me. 21[No verse]
[22]Therefore will I praise thee for thy faithfulness, O God, upon instrument and viol: unto thee will I sing upon the harp, O Holy One of Israel. 22[No verse]
[23]My lips will rejoice when I sing unto thee, and my soul, which thou hast delivered. 23[No verse]
[24]My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness daily: for they are confounded and brought unto shame, that seek mine hurt. 24[No verse]
