[1]HOW amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts! [1] O how amiable are thy dwellinges: thou God of hoastes
[2]My soul longs, yea, even faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh give praise for the living God. [2]My soule hath a desire and a longing to enter into the courtes of God: my heart and my flesh leapeth with ioy for to go to the liuing Lorde
[3]Yea, even the sparrow has found a house, and the pigeon a nest for herself, where they have raised their young beside thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God. [3]Yea the sparowe hath founde her an house, and the swallowe a nest: where she may lay her young: euen thy aulters O God of hoastes, my king & my Lord
[4]Blessed are they that dwell in thy house; they shall praise thee for ever. [4]Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they wyll be alway praysyng thee. Selah
[5]Blessed is the man whose help is from thee; in whose heart are thy ways. [5]Blessed is that man whose strength is in thee: [thy] wayes are in their heart
[6]They have passed through the valley of weeping, and have made it a dwelling place; the Lawgiver shall cover it with blessings; [6]They iourneying through the vale of teares: (yea when euery cesterne [at their name] is filled with water) do accept it for a [fayre pleasaunt] well
[7]They shall go from strength to strength; the God of gods shall be seen in Zion. [7]They wyl set forward from a stoute courage to a stoute courage: that the God of Gods may be seene of them in Sion
[8]O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. [8]O God Lorde of hoastes heare my prayer: geue eare O God of Iacob. Selah
[9]Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed. [9]Beholde O Lorde our shielde: and loke vpon the face of thyne annointed
[10]For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I would choose rather to dwell in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of the wicked. [10]For one day in thy courtes, is better then a thousande [els where]: I had rather be a doore keper in the house of my God, then to dwell in [large] tabernacles of vngodlynes
[11]For the LORD God is our supply and our helper; the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. [11]For God the Lorde is a sunne and a shielde: God geueth grace and worship, he withholdeth no good thyng from them that liue in any perfection
[12]O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in thee. [12]O God of hoastes: blessed is the man that putteth his trust in thee
