| [1]I will sing the mercies of the Lord forever: with my mouth will I declare thy truth from generation to generation. |

| [2]For I said, Mercy shall be set up forever: thy truth shalt thou stablish in the very heavens. |
[2]חסדי יהוה עולם אשירה לדר ודר אודיע אמונתך בפי |
| [3]I have made a covenant with my chosen: I have sworn to David my servant, |
[3]כי־אמרתי־עולם חסד יבנה שמים תכן אמונתך בהם |
| [4]Thy seed will I stablish forever, and set up thy throne from generation to generation. Selah. |
[4]כרתי ברית לבחירי נשבעתי לדוד עבדי |
| [5]O Lord, even the heavens shall praise thy wondrous work: yea, thy truth in the congregation of the saints. |
[5]עד־עולם אכין זרעך ובניתי לדר־ודור כסאך סלה |
| [6]For who is equal to the Lord in the heaven? And who is like the Lord among the sons of the gods? |
[6]ויודו שמים פלאך יהוה אף־אמונתך בקהל קדשים |
| [7]God is very terrible in the assembly of the saints, and to be reverenced above all, that are about him. |
[7]כי מי בשחק יערך ליהוה ידמה ליהוה בבני אלים |
| [8]O Lord God of hosts, who is like unto thee, which art a mighty Lord, and thy truth is about thee? |
[8]אל נערץ בסוד־קדשים רבה ונורא על־כל־סביביו |
| [9]Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them. |
[9]יהוה אלהי צבאות־מי־כמוך חסין יה ואמונתך סביבותיך |
| [10]Thou hast beaten down Rahab as a man slain: thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy mighty arm. |
[10]אתה מושל בגאות הים בשוא גליו אתה תשבחם |
| [11]The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: thou hast laid the foundation of the world, and all that therein is. |
[11]אתה דכאת כחלל רהב בזרוע עזך פזרת אויביך |
| [12]Thou hast created the north and the south: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name. |
[12]לך שמים אף־לך ארץ תבל ומלאה אתה יסדתם |
| [13]Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thine hand , and high is thy right hand. |
[13]צפון וימין אתה בראתם תבור וחרמון בשמך ירננו |
| [14]Righteousness and equity are the stablishment of thy throne: mercy and truth go before thy face. |
[14]לך זרוע עם־גבורה תעז ידך תרום ימינך |
| [15]Blessed is the people, that can rejoice in thee: they shall walk in the light of thy countenance, O Lord. |
[15]צדק ומשפט מכון כסאך חסד ואמת יקדמו פניך |
| [16]They shall rejoice continually in thy name, and in thy righteousness shall they exalt themselves. |
[16]אשרי העם ידעי תרועה יהוה באור־פניך יהלכון |
| [17]For thou art the glory of their strength, and by thy favor our horns shall be exalted. |
[17]בשמך יגילון כל־היום ובצדקתך ירומו |
| [18]For our shield appertaineth to the Lord, and our King to the Holy One of Israel. |
[18]כי־תפארת עזמו אתה וברצונך תרים [Q: תרום] קרנינו |
| [19]Thou spakest then in a vision unto thine Holy One, and saidest, I have laid help upon one that is mighty: I have exalted one chosen out of the people. |
[19]כי ליהוה מגננו ולקדוש ישראל מלכנו |
| [20]I have found David my servant: with mine holy oil have I anointed him. |
[20]אז דברת בחזון לחסידיך ותאמר שויתי עזר על־גבור הרימותי בחור מעם |
| [21]Therefore mine hand shall be established with him, and mine arm shall strengthen him. |
[21]מצאתי דוד עבדי בשמן קדשי משחתיו |
| [22]The enemy shall not oppress him, neither shall the wicked hurt him. |
[22]אשר ידי תכון עמו אף־זרועי תאמצנו |
| [23]But I will destroy his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him. |
[23]לא־ישיא אויב בו ובן־עולה לא יעננו |
| [24]My truth also and my mercy shall be with him, and in my name shall his horn be exalted. |
[24]וכתותי מפניו צריו ומשנאיו אגוף |
| [25]I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the floods. |
[25]ואמונתי וחסדי עמו ובשמי תרום קרנו |
| [26]He shall cry unto me, Thou art my Father, my God and the rock of my salvation. |
[26]ושמתי בים ידו ובנהרות ימינו |
| [27]Also I will make him my first born, higher than the kings of the earth. |
[27]הוא יקראני אבי אתה אלי וצור ישועתי |
| [28]My mercy will I keep for him forevermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. |
[28]אף־אני בכור אתנהו עליון למלכי־ארץ |
| [29]His seed also will I make to endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven. |
[29]לעולם אשמור [Q: אשמר־] לו חסדי ובריתי נאמנת לו |
| [30]But if his children forsake my Law, and walk not in my judgments: |
[30]ושמתי לעד זרעו וכסאו כימי שמים |
| [31]If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments: |
[31]אם־יעזבו בניו תורתי ובמשפטי לא ילכון |
| [32]Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with strokes. |
[32]אם־חקתי יחללו ומצותי לא ישמרו |
| [33]Yet my loving kindness will I not take from him, neither will I falsify my truth. |
[33]ופקדתי בשבט פשעם ובנגעים עונם |
| [34]My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. |
[34]וחסדי לא־אפיר מעמו ולא־אשקר באמונתי |
| [35]I have sworn once by mine holiness, that I will not fail David, saying, |
[35]לא־אחלל בריתי ומוצא שפתי לא אשנה |
| [36]His seed shall endure forever, and his throne shall be as the sun before me. |
[36]אחת נשבעתי בקדשי אם־לדוד אכזב |
| [37]He shall be established forevermore as the moon, and as a faithful witness in the heaven. Selah. |
[37]זרעו לעולם יהיה וכסאו כשמש נגדי |
| [38]But thou hast rejected and abhorred, thou hast been angry with thine Anointed. |
[38]כירח יכון עולם ועד בשחק נאמן סלה |
| [39]Thou hast broken the covenant of thy servant , and profaned his crown, casting it on the ground. |
[39]ואתה זנחת ותמאס התעברת עם־משיחך |
| [40]Thou hast broken down all his walls: thou hast laid his fortresses in ruin. |
[40]נארתה ברית עבדך חללת לארץ נזרו |
| [41]All that go by the way, spoil him: he is a rebuke unto his neighbors. |
[41]פרצת כל־גדרתיו שמת מבצריו מחתה |
| [42]Thou hast set up the right hand of his enemies, and made all his adversaries to rejoice. |
[42]שסהו כל־עברי דרך היה חרפה לשכניו |
| [43]Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle. |
[43]הרימות ימין צריו השמחת כל־אויביו |
| [44]Thou hast caused his dignity to decay, and cast his throne to the ground. |
[44]אף־תשיב צור חרבו ולא הקימתו במלחמה |
| [45]The days of his youth hast thou shortened, and covered him with shame. Selah. |
[45]השבת מטהרו וכסאו לארץ מגרתה |
| [46]Lord, how long wilt thou hide thyself, forever? Shall thy wrath burn like fire? |
[46]הקצרת ימי עלומיו העטית עליו בושה סלה |
| [47]Remember of what time I am: wherefore shouldest thou create in vain all the children of men? |
[47]עד־מה יהוה תסתר לנצח תבער כמו־אש חמתך |
| [48]What man liveth, and shall not see death? Shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah. |
[48]זכר־אני מה־חלד על־מה־שוא בראת כל־בני־אדם |
| [49]Lord, where are thy former mercies, which thou swearest unto David in thy truth? |
[49]מי גבר יחיה ולא יראה־מות ימלט נפשו מיד־שאול סלה |
| [50]Remember, O Lord, the rebuke of thy servants, which I bear in my bosom of all the mighty people. |
[50]איה חסדיך הראשנים אדני נשבעת לדוד באמונתך |
| [51]For thine enemies have reproached thee, O Lord, because they have reproached the footsteps of thine Anointed. |
[51]זכר אדני חרפת עבדיך שאתי בחיקי כל־רבים עמים |
| [52]Praised be the Lord forevermore. So be it, even so be it. |
[52]אשר חרפו אויביך יהוה אשר חרפו עקבות משיחך |
