[1]A PsalmH4210 or SongH7892 for the sabbathH7676 dayH3117. It is a goodH2896 thing to give thanksH3034[H8687] unto the LORDH3068, and to sing praisesH2167[H8763] unto thy nameH8034, O most HighH5945: [1]IT IS A GOOD THING TO GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD, AND TO SING PRAISES UNTO THY NAME, O MOST HIGH:
[2]To shew forthH5046[H8687] thy lovingkindnessH2617 in the morningH1242, and thy faithfulnessH530 every nightH3915, [2]To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
[3]Upon an instrument of ten stringsH6218, and upon the psalteryH5035; upon the harpH3658 with a solemn soundH1902. [3]Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.
[4]For thou, LORDH3068, hast made me gladH8055[H8765] through thy workH6467: I will triumphH7442[H8762] in the worksH4639 of thy handsH3027. [4]For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
[5]O LORDH3068, how greatH1431[H8804] are thy worksH4639! and thy thoughtsH4284 are veryH3966 deepH6009.[H8804] [5]O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.
[6]A brutishH1198 manH376 knowethH3045[H8799] not; neither doth a foolH3684 understandH995 thisH8799. [6]A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.
[7]When the wickedH7563 springH6524[H8800] as the grassH6212, and when all the workersH6466[H8802] of iniquityH205 do flourishH6692[H8686]; it is that they shall be destroyedH8045[H8736] for everH5703: [7]When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:
[8]But thou, LORDH3068, art most highH4791 for evermoreH5769. [8]But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.
[9]For, lo, thine enemiesH341[H8802], O LORDH3068, for, lo, thine enemiesH341[H8802] shall perishH6[H8799]; all the workersH6466[H8802] of iniquityH205 shall be scatteredH6504.[H8691] [9]For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
[10]But my hornH7161 shalt thou exaltH7311[H8686] like the horn of an unicornH7214: I shall be anointedH1101[H8804] with freshH7488 oilH8081. [10]But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
[11]Mine eyeH5869 also shall seeH5027[H8686] my desire on mine enemiesH7790, and mine earsH241 shall hearH8085[H8799] my desire of the wickedH7489[H8688] that rise upH6965 against meH8801. [11]Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
[12]The righteousH6662 shall flourishH6524[H8799] like the palm treeH8558: he shall growH7685[H8799] like a cedarH730 in LebanonH3844. [12]The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
[13]Those that be plantedH8362[H8803] in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 shall flourishH6524[H8686] in the courtsH2691 of our GodH430. [13]Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
[14]They shall still bring forth fruitH5107[H8799] in old ageH7872; they shall be fatH1879 and flourishingH7488; [14]They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
[15]To shewH5046[H8687] that the LORDH3068 is uprightH3477: he is my rockH6697, and there is no unrighteousnessH5766[H8675] in himH5766. [15]To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
