| [1]And to the messenger who is in the assembly of Sardis write thus says He Who has to Him The Seven Spirits of Alaha and seven stars know I your works and the name that is to you and that alive you are and that dead you are |
[1]Καὶ τῷ ἀγγέλῳ τῆς ἐν Σάρδεσιν ἐκκλησίας γράψον· τάδε λέγει ὁ ἔχων τὰ ἑπτὰ πνεύματα τοῦ Θεοῦ καὶ τοὺς ἑπτὰ ἀστέρας· οἶδά σου τὰ ἔργα, ὅτι ὄνομα ἔχεις ὅτι ζῇς, καὶ νεκρὸς εἶ. |
| [2]And be vigilant and confirm what remains of those that ready have been to die not for I have found you that perfect your works before Alaha |
[2]γίνου γρηγορῶν, καὶ στήρισον τὰ λοιπὰ ἃ ἔμελλον ἀποθνήσκειν· οὐ γὰρ εὕρηκά σου τὰ ἔργα πεπληρωμένα ἐνώπιον τοῦ Θεοῦ μου. |
| [3]Remember how you have heard and you have received take heed and return but if not you wake up shall come I upon you as a thief and not you will know what hour I shall come upon you |
[3]μνημόνευε οὖν πῶς εἴληφας καὶ ἤκουσας, καὶ τήρει καὶ μετανόησον. ἐὰν οὖν μὴ γρηγορήσῃς, ἥξω ἐπὶ σὲ ὡς κλέπτης, καὶ οὐ μὴ γνώσῃ ποίαν ὥραν ἥξω ἐπὶ σέ. |
| [4]But is to Me a few names in Sardis those who not have defiled their garments and they walk before Me in white and they worthy are |
[4]ἀλλὰ ἔχεις ὀλίγα ὀνόματα ἐν Σάρδεσιν, ἃ οὐκ ἐμόλυναν τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶν, καὶ περιπατήσουσι μετ᾿ ἐμοῦ ἐν λευκοῖς, ὅτι ἄξιοί εἰσιν. |
| [5]He who overcomes in this way is garbed in a garment white and not I shall blot out his name from the book of life and I shall confess his name before My Father and before His angels |
[5]῾Ο νικῶν οὕτως περιβαλεῖται ἐν ἱματίοις λευκοῖς, καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐξαλείψω τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐκ τῆς βίβλου τῆς ζωῆς, καὶ ὁμολογήσω τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐνώπιον τοῦ πατρός μου καὶ ἐνώπιον τῶν ἀγγέλων αὐτοῦ. |
| [6]Whoever has to him an ear let him hear what The Spirit speaks to the assemblies |
[6]῾Ο ἔχων οὖς ἀκουσάτω τί τὸ Πνεῦμα λέγει ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις. |
| [7]And to the messenger of the assembly of Philadelphia write thus says The Holy One The True One He Who has to Him the key of Dawid The One Who opens and there is not a closer and He shuts and there is not an opener |
[7]Καὶ τῷ ἀγγέλῳ τῆς ἐν Φιλαδελφείᾳ ἐκκλησίας γράψον· τάδε λέγει ὁ ἅγιος, ὁ ἀληθινός, ὁ ἔχων τὴν κλεῖν τοῦ Δαυΐδ, ὁ ἀνοίγων καὶ οὐδεὶς κλείσει, καὶ κλείων καὶ οὐδεὶς ἀνοίξει· |
| [8]Know I your works and behold I have set before you a door opened which not a man can shut because that a little power is to you and My word you have kept and My Name not you have denied |
[8]οἶδά σου τὰ ἔργα· – ἰδοὺ δέδωκα ἐνώπιόν σου θύραν ἀνεῳγμένην, ἣν οὐδεὶς δύναται κλεῖσαι αὐτήν· – ὅτι μικρὰν ἔχεις δύναμιν, καὶ ἐτήρησάς μου τὸν λόγον καὶ οὐκ ἠρνήσω τὸ ὄνομά μου. |
| [9]And behold devote I some of the synagogue of Satan of those who say about themselves that Jews they are and not they are but they are lying behold I shall make them to come and to worship before your feet and to know that I love you |
[9]ἰδοὺ δίδωμι ἐκ τῆς συναγωγῆς τοῦ σατανᾶ τῶν λεγόντων ἑαυτοὺς ᾿Ιουδαίους εἶναι, καὶ οὐκ εἰσίν, ἀλλὰ ψεύδονται· ἰδοὺ ποιήσω αὐτοὺς ἵνα ἥξουσι καὶ προσκυνήσουσιν ἐνώπιον τῶν ποδῶν σου, καὶ γνῶσιν ὅτι ἐγὼ ἠγάπησά σε. |
| [10]Because that you have kept the word of My patience also I shall keep you from the trial that is going to come over all the inhabited world to test the inhabitants of The Earth |
[10]ὅτι ἐτήρησας τὸν λόγον τῆς ὑπομονῆς μου, κἀγώ σε τηρήσω ἐκ τῆς ὥρας τοῦ πειρασμοῦ τῆς μελλούσης ἔρχεσθαι ἐπὶ τῆς οἰκουμένης ὅλης, πειράσαι τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς. |
| [11]Come I at once hold fast that whichever is to you lest a man take your crown |
[11]ἔρχομαι ταχύ· κράτει ὃ ἔχεις, ἵνα μηδεὶς λάβῃ τὸν στέφανόν σου. |
| [12]And the overcomer I shall make him a pillar in the temple of Alaha and outside not he will go out again and I shall write upon Him The Name of My Alaha and The Name of the city New Jerusalem which descends from My Alaha and Name My New |
[12]῾Ο νικῶν, ποιήσω αὐτὸν στῦλον ἐν τῷ ναῷ τοῦ Θεοῦ μου, καὶ ἔξω οὐ μὴ ἐξέλθῃ ἔτι, καὶ γράψω ἐπ᾿ αὐτὸν τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ Θεοῦ μου καὶ τὸ ὄνομα τῆς πόλεως τοῦ Θεοῦ μου, τῆς καινῆς ῾Ιερουσαλήμ, ἣ καταβαίνει ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἀπὸ τοῦ Θεοῦ μου, καὶ τὸ ὄνομά μου τὸ καινόν. |
| [13]And the one who has to him an ear let hear what The Spirit speaks to the assemblies |
[13]῾Ο ἔχων οὖς ἀκουσάτω τί τὸ Πνεῦμα λέγει ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις. |
| [14]And to the messenger of the assembly of the Laydiqyans write thus says Amen The Witness trustworthy |
[14]Καὶ τῷ ἀγγέλῳ τῆς ἐν Λαοδικείᾳ ἐκκλησίας γράψον· τάδε λέγει ὁ ἀμήν, ὁ μάρτυς ὁ πιστὸς καὶ ἀληθινός, ἡ ἀρχὴ τῆς κτίσεως τοῦ Θεοῦ· |
| [15]Know I your works not cold you are neither hot because necessary it is that either cold you will be or hot |
[15]οἶδά σου τὰ ἔργα, ὅτι οὔτε ψυχρὸς εἶ οὔτε ζεστός· ὄφελον ψυχρὸς ἦς ἢ ζεστός. |
| [16]And you are lukewarm and not cold neither hot am going I to vomit you from My mouth |
[16]οὕτως ὅτι χλιαρὸς εἶ, καὶ οὔτε ζεστὸς οὔτε ψυχρός, μέλλω σε ἐμέσαι ἐκ τοῦ στόματός μου. |
| [17]Because you said that rich you are and I have prospered and of anything not am deprived I and not know you that you are sick and wretched and poor and naked |
[17]ὅτι λέγεις ὅτι πλούσιός εἰμι καὶ πεπλούτηκα καὶ οὐδενὸς χρείαν ἔχω, – καὶ οὐκ οἶδας ὅτι σὺ εἶ ὁ ταλαίπωρος καὶ ὁ ἐλεεινὸς καὶ πτωχὸς καὶ τυφλὸς καὶ γυμνός, – |
| [18]Counsel I you to buy from Me gold that is proved from the fire that you may prosper and garments white to put on lest be revealed the shame of your nakedness and eye salve to anoint that you may see |
[18]συμβουλεύω σοι ἀγοράσαι παρ᾿ ἐμοῦ χρυσίον πεπυρωμένον ἐκ πυρὸς ἵνα πλουτήσῃς, καὶ ἱμάτια λευκὰ ἵνα περιβάλῃ καὶ μὴ φανερωθῇ ἡ αἰσχύνη τῆς γυμνότητός σου, καὶ κολλύριον ἵνα ἐγχρίσῃ τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς σου ἵνα βλέπῃς. |
| [19]I those whom love I rebuke I and discipline I be zealous therefore and return |
[19]ἐγὼ ὅσους ἐὰν φιλῶ, ἐλέγχω καὶ παιδεύω· ζήλευε οὖν καὶ μετανόησον. |
| [20]Behold I have stood at the door and I shall knock if a man listens to My voice and will open the door also I shall enter and I shall have supper with Him and he with Me |
[20]ἰδοὺ ἕστηκα ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν καὶ κρούω· ἐάν τις ἀκούσῃ τῆς φωνῆς μου καὶ ἀνοίξῃ τὴν θύραν, καὶ εἰσελεύσομαι πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ δειπνήσω μετ᾿ αὐτοῦ καὶ αὐτὸς μετ᾿ ἐμοῦ. |
| [21]And the overcomer I shall give to him to sit with Me on throne My just as I have overcome and I sit with My Father on throne His |
[21]῾Ο νικῶν, δώσω αὐτῷ καθίσαι μετ᾿ ἐμοῦ ἐν τῷ θρόνῳ μου, ὡς κἀγὼ ἐνίκησα καὶ ἐκάθισα μετὰ τοῦ πατρός μου ἐν τῷ θρόνῳ αὐτοῦ. |
| [22]Whoever has to him an ear let him hear what The Spirit speaks to the assemblies |
[22]῾Ο ἔχων οὖς ἀκουσάτω τί τὸ Πνεῦμα λέγει ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις. |
