[1]Τὸν δὲ ἀσθενοῦντα τῇ πίστει προσλαμβάνεσθε, μὴ εἰς διακρίσεις διαλογισμῶν. |
[1]Him that is weak in the faith, receive unto you, but not for controversies of disputations. |
[2]ὃς μὲν πιστεύει φαγεῖν πάντα, ὁ δὲ ἀσθενῶν λάχανα ἐσθίει. |
[2]One believeth that he may eat of all things: and another, which is weak, eateth herbs. |
[3]ὁ ἐσθίων τὸν μὴ ἐσθίοντα μὴ ἐξουθενείτω, ⸂ὁ δὲ⸃ μὴ ἐσθίων τὸν ἐσθίοντα μὴ κρινέτω, ὁ θεὸς γὰρ αὐτὸν προσελάβετο. |
[3]Let not him that eateth, despise him that eateth not: and let not him which eateth not, judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. |
[4]σὺ τίς εἶ ὁ κρίνων ἀλλότριον οἰκέτην; τῷ ἰδίῳ κυρίῳ στήκει ἢ πίπτει· σταθήσεται δέ, ⸂δυνατεῖ γὰρ⸃ ὁ ⸀κύριος στῆσαι αὐτόν. |
[4]Who art thou that condemnest another mans servant? he standeth or falleth to his own master: yea, he shall be established: for God is able to make him stand. |
[5]Ὃς ⸀μὲν κρίνει ἡμέραν παρʼ ἡμέραν, ὃς δὲ κρίνει πᾶσαν ἡμέραν· ἕκαστος ἐν τῷ ἰδίῳ νοῒ πληροφορείσθω· |
[5]This man esteemeth one day above another day, and another man counteth every day alike: let every man be fully persuaded in his mind. |
[6]ὁ φρονῶν τὴν ἡμέραν κυρίῳ ⸀φρονεῖ. καὶ ὁ ἐσθίων κυρίῳ ἐσθίει, εὐχαριστεῖ γὰρ τῷ θεῷ· καὶ ὁ μὴ ἐσθίων κυρίῳ οὐκ ἐσθίει, καὶ εὐχαριστεῖ τῷ θεῷ. |
[6]He that observeth the day, observeth it to the Lord: and he that observeth not the day, observeth it not to the Lord. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord: for he giveth God thanks: and he that eateth not, eateth not to the Lord, and giveth God thanks. |
[7]Οὐδεὶς γὰρ ἡμῶν ἑαυτῷ ζῇ, καὶ οὐδεὶς ἑαυτῷ ἀποθνῄσκει· |
[7]For none of us liveth to himself, neither doth any die to himself. |
[8]ἐάν τε γὰρ ζῶμεν, τῷ κυρίῳ ζῶμεν, ἐάν τε ἀποθνῄσκωμεν, τῷ κυρίῳ ἀποθνῄσκομεν. ἐάν τε οὖν ζῶμεν ἐάν τε ἀποθνῄσκωμεν, τοῦ κυρίου ἐσμέν. |
[8]For whether we live, we live unto the Lord: or whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. |
[9]εἰς τοῦτο γὰρ ⸀Χριστὸς ⸀ἀπέθανεν καὶ ἔζησεν ἵνα καὶ νεκρῶν καὶ ζώντων κυριεύσῃ. |
[9]For Christ therefore died and rose again, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and the quick. |
[10]Σὺ δὲ τί κρίνεις τὸν ἀδελφόν σου; ἢ καὶ σὺ τί ἐξουθενεῖς τὸν ἀδελφόν σου; πάντες γὰρ παραστησόμεθα τῷ βήματι τοῦ ⸀θεοῦ, |
[10]But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou despise thy brother? for we shall all appear before the judgment seat of Christ. |
[11]γέγραπται γάρ· Ζῶ ἐγώ, λέγει κύριος, ὅτι ἐμοὶ κάμψει πᾶν γόνυ, καὶ ⸂πᾶσα γλῶσσα ἐξομολογήσεται⸃ τῷ θεῷ. |
[11]For it is written, I live, saith the Lord, and every knee shall bow to me, and all tongues shall confess unto God. |
[12]⸀ἄρα ἕκαστος ἡμῶν περὶ ἑαυτοῦ λόγον ⸀δώσει. |
[12]So then everyone of us shall give accounts of himself to God. |
[13]Μηκέτι οὖν ἀλλήλους κρίνωμεν· ἀλλὰ τοῦτο κρίνατε μᾶλλον, τὸ μὴ τιθέναι πρόσκομμα τῷ ἀδελφῷ ἢ σκάνδαλον. |
[13]Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but use your judgment rather in this, that no man put an occasion to fall, or a stumbling block before his brother. |
[14]οἶδα καὶ πέπεισμαι ἐν κυρίῳ Ἰησοῦ ὅτι οὐδὲν κοινὸν διʼ ⸀ἑαυτοῦ· εἰ μὴ τῷ λογιζομένῳ τι κοινὸν εἶναι, ἐκείνῳ κοινόν. |
[14]I know, and am persuaded through the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but unto him that judgeth anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. |
[15]εἰ ⸀γὰρ διὰ βρῶμα ὁ ἀδελφός σου λυπεῖται, οὐκέτι κατὰ ἀγάπην περιπατεῖς. μὴ τῷ βρώματί σου ἐκεῖνον ἀπόλλυε ὑπὲρ οὗ Χριστὸς ἀπέθανεν. |
[15]But if thy brother be grieved for the meat, now walkest thou not charitably: destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died. |
[16]μὴ βλασφημείσθω οὖν ὑμῶν τὸ ἀγαθόν. |
[16]Cause not your commodity to be evil spoken of. |
[17]οὐ γάρ ἐστιν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ βρῶσις καὶ πόσις, ἀλλὰ δικαιοσύνη καὶ εἰρήνη καὶ χαρὰ ἐν πνεύματι ἁγίῳ· |
[17]For the kingdom of God is not meat nor drink, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. |
[18]ὁ γὰρ ἐν ⸀τούτῳ δουλεύων τῷ Χριστῷ εὐάρεστος τῷ θεῷ καὶ δόκιμος τοῖς ἀνθρώποις. |
[18]For whosoever in these things serveth Christ, is acceptable unto God, and is approved of men. |
[19]ἄρα οὖν τὰ τῆς εἰρήνης διώκωμεν καὶ τὰ τῆς οἰκοδομῆς τῆς εἰς ἀλλήλους. |
[19]Let us then follow those things which concern peace, and wherewith one may edify another. |
[20]μὴ ἕνεκεν βρώματος κατάλυε τὸ ἔργον τοῦ θεοῦ. πάντα μὲν καθαρά, ἀλλὰ κακὸν τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ τῷ διὰ προσκόμματος ἐσθίοντι. |
[20]Destroy not the work of God for meats sake: all things indeed are pure: but it is evil for the man which eateth with offence. |
[21]καλὸν τὸ μὴ φαγεῖν κρέα μηδὲ πιεῖν οἶνον μηδὲ ἐν ᾧ ὁ ἀδελφός σου προσκόπτει ⸂ἢ σκανδαλίζεται ἢ ἀσθενεῖ⸃· |
[21]It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor anything, whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or made weak. |
[22]σὺ πίστιν ⸀ἣν ἔχεις κατὰ σεαυτὸν ἔχε ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ. μακάριος ὁ μὴ κρίνων ἑαυτὸν ἐν ᾧ δοκιμάζει· |
[22]Hast thou faith? have it with thyself before God: blessed is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. |
[23]ὁ δὲ διακρινόμενος ἐὰν φάγῃ κατακέκριται, ὅτι οὐκ ἐκ πίστεως· πᾶν δὲ ὃ οὐκ ἐκ πίστεως ἁμαρτία ⸀ἐστίν. |
[23]For he that doubteth, is condemned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: and whatsoever is not of faith, is sin. |
