| [1]WE then, the strong, are obligated to bear up the infirmities of the weak, and not ourselves to please. |
[1]οφειλομεν δε ημεις οι δυνατοι τα ασθενηματα των αδυνατων βασταζειν και μη εαυτοις αρεσκειν |
| [2]But let every one of us please his neighbour in good things as unto edification. |
[2]εκαστος γαρ ημων τω πλησιον αρεσκετω εις το αγαθον προς οικοδομην |
| [3]Because the Meshiha also pleased not himself; but as it is written, the reproach of thy reproachers hath fallen upon me. |
[3]και γαρ ο χριστος ουχ εαυτω ηρεσεν αλλα καθως γεγραπται οι ονειδισμοι των ονειδιζοντων σε επεπεσον επ εμε |
| [4]For every thing that hath before been written for our instruction was written, that by the patience and consolation of the scriptures we might have hope. |
[4]οσα γαρ προεγραφη εις την ημετεραν διδασκαλιαν προεγραφη ινα δια της υπομονης και της παρακλησεως των γραφων την ελπιδα εχωμεν |
| [5]But the God of patience and of consolation give to you that with impartialityⓘ you may think one of another in Jeshu Meshiha, |
[5]ο δε θεος της υπομονης και της παρακλησεως δωη υμιν το αυτο φρονειν εν αλληλοις κατα χριστον ιησουν |
| [6]That with one mind and with one mouth you may glorify Aloha, the Father of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha. |
[6]ινα ομοθυμαδον εν ενι στοματι δοξαζητε τον θεον και πατερα του κυριου ημων ιησου χριστου |
| [7]Therefore, receive and bear with one another, as also the Meshiha hath received you, to the glory of Aloha. |
[7]διο προσλαμβανεσθε αλληλους καθως και ο χριστος προσελαβετο ημας εις δοξαν θεου |
| [8]But I say that Jeshu Meshiha ministered [to] the circumcision, on behalf of the truth of Aloha, that he might confirm the promise of the fathers, |
[8]λεγω δε ιησουν χριστον διακονον γεγενησθαι περιτομης υπερ αληθειας θεου εις το βεβαιωσαι τας επαγγελιας των πατερων |
| [9]And the Gentiles might glorify Aloha for his mercy that was upon them. As it is written, I will confess thee among the Gentiles, and to thy name will I sing. |
[9]τα δε εθνη υπερ ελεους δοξασαι τον θεον καθως γεγραπται δια τουτο εξομολογησομαι σοι εν εθνεσιν και τω ονοματι σου ψαλω |
| [10]And again he hath said, be glad, ye Gentiles, with his people. |
[10]και παλιν λεγει ευφρανθητε εθνη μετα του λαου αυτου |
| [11]And again he hath said, praise the Lord, all [ye] Gentiles; let all peoples praise him. |
[11]και παλιν αινειτε τον κυριον παντα τα εθνη και επαινεσατε αυτον παντες οι λαοι |
| [12]And again, Eshaia hath said, there shall be a root of Jeshai, and he who shall arise shall be the chief of the peoples; and upon him will the Gentiles hope. |
[12]και παλιν ησαιας λεγει εσται η ριζα του ιεσσαι και ο ανισταμενος αρχειν εθνων επ αυτω εθνη ελπιουσιν |
| [13]But the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace, through faith, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Spirit of Holiness. |
[13]ο δε θεος της ελπιδος πληρωσαι υμας πασης χαρας και ειρηνης εν τω πιστευειν εις το περισσευειν υμας εν τη ελπιδι εν δυναμει πνευματος αγιου |
| [14]BUT I am persuaded also concerning you, my brethren, that you are also full of good, and filled with all knowledge, and able also to instruct others. |
[14]πεπεισμαι δε αδελφοι μου και αυτος εγω περι υμων οτι και αυτοι μεστοι εστε αγαθωσυνης πεπληρωμενοι πασης γνωσεως δυναμενοι και αλληλους νουθετειν |
| [15]But I have somewhatⓘ boldly written to you, my brethren, as that I may put you in remembrance, through the grace which is given to me from Aloha, |
[15]τολμηροτερον δε εγραψα υμιν αδελφοι απο μερους ως επαναμιμνησκων υμας δια την χαριν την δοθεισαν μοι υπο του θεου |
| [16]To be a minister of Jeshu Meshiha among the Gentiles, and to labour in the gospel of Aloha, that there may be an oblation of the Gentiles, acceptable and holy through the Spirit of Holiness. |
[16]εις το ειναι με λειτουργον ιησου χριστου εις τα εθνη ιερουργουντα το ευαγγελιον του θεου ινα γενηται η προσφορα των εθνων ευπροσδεκτος ηγιασμενη εν πνευματι αγιω |
| [17]I have, then, exultation in Jeshu Meshiha with Aloha. |
[17]εχω ουν καυχησιν εν χριστω ιησου τα προς θεον |
| [18]For I dare not speak any thing which the Meshiha hath not done by my hands, unto the obedience of the Gentiles, in word and in deeds, |
[18]ου γαρ τολμησω λαλειν τι ων ου κατειργασατο χριστος δι εμου εις υπακοην εθνων λογω και εργω |
| [19]With the power of signs and miracles, and with the power of the Spirit of Aloha; as that I have itinerated from Urishlem unto Illyrikum, to fulfil the preaching of Meshiha; |
[19]εν δυναμει σημειων και τερατων εν δυναμει πνευματος θεου ωστε με απο ιερουσαλημ και κυκλω μεχρι του ιλλυρικου πεπληρωκεναι το ευαγγελιον του χριστου |
| [20]Being anxious to preach, not where the name of Meshiha had been called, that I might not build upon another foundation, |
[20]ουτως δε φιλοτιμουμενον ευαγγελιζεσθαι ουχ οπου ωνομασθη χριστος ινα μη επ αλλοτριον θεμελιον οικοδομω |
| [21]But as it is written, They to whom it hath not been told of him, they shall see him; and they who have not heard shall be persuaded.ⓘ |
[21]αλλα καθως γεγραπται οις ουκ ανηγγελη περι αυτου οψονται και οι ουκ ακηκοασιν συνησουσιν |
| [22]On this account I have been hindered many times when I would have come to you. |
[22]διο και ενεκοπτομην τα πολλα του ελθειν προς υμας |
| [23]But now, because I have no place in these countries, and have desired for many years to come to you, |
[23]νυνι δε μηκετι τοπον εχων εν τοις κλιμασιν τουτοις επιποθιαν δε εχων του ελθειν προς υμας απο πολλων ετων |
| [24]When I go into Ispania, I hope to come and see you; and you shall lead me thitherward, when I shall in some measureⓘ have been gladdened with the sight of you. |
[24]ως εαν πορευωμαι εις την σπανιαν ελευσομαι προς υμας ελπιζω γαρ διαπορευομενος θεασασθαι υμας και υφ υμων προπεμφθηναι εκει εαν υμων πρωτον απο μερους εμπλησθω |
| [25]But now I go to Urishlem to minister to the saints. |
[25]νυνι δε πορευομαι εις ιερουσαλημ διακονων τοις αγιοις |
| [26]For they in Makedunia and in Akaia have desired that a communication should be made from themselves with the poor and the saints who are at Urishlem. |
[26]ευδοκησαν γαρ μακεδονια και αχαια κοινωνιαν τινα ποιησασθαι εις τους πτωχους των αγιων των εν ιερουσαλημ |
| [27]They have desired [this], because they also are indebted to them. For if the Gentiles have participated with them in the Spirit, they are indebted to serve them in the flesh. |
[27]ευδοκησαν γαρ και οφειλεται αυτων εισιν ει γαρ τοις πνευματικοις αυτων εκοινωνησαν τα εθνη οφειλουσιν και εν τοις σαρκικοις λειτουργησαι αυτοις |
| [28]This, then, when I have accomplished, and have sealed to them this fruit, I [intend to] pass by you into Ispania. |
[28]τουτο ουν επιτελεσας και σφραγισαμενος αυτοις τον καρπον τουτον απελευσομαι δι υμων εις την σπανιαν |
| [29]And I know that when I come to you, with the plenitude of the blessing of the gospel of Meshiha I [shall] come. |
[29]οιδα δε οτι ερχομενος προς υμας εν πληρωματι ευλογιας του ευαγγελιου του χριστου ελευσομαι |
| [30]Now I entreat of you, my brethren, by our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, and by the love of the Spirit, to labour with me in prayer on my behalf, with Aloha, |
[30]παρακαλω δε υμας αδελφοι δια του κυριου ημων ιησου χριστου και δια της αγαπης του πνευματος συναγωνισασθαι μοι εν ταις προσευχαις υπερ εμου προς τον θεον |
| [31]That I may be delivered from them who believe not in Jihud, and [that] the service which I bear to the saints may be well received, |
[31]ινα ρυσθω απο των απειθουντων εν τη ιουδαια και ινα η διακονια μου η εις ιερουσαλημ ευπροσδεκτος γενηται τοις αγιοις |
| [32]And I may come to you with joy in the will of Aloha, and be rested with you. |
[32]ινα εν χαρα ελθω προς υμας δια θεληματος θεου και συναναπαυσωμαι υμιν |
| [33]The God of peace be with all of you. Amen. |
[33]ο δε θεος της ειρηνης μετα παντων υμων αμην |
