[1]ἀκούωVA-AAD2P οὖνX βασιλεύςN3V-VPM καίC συνἵημιVB-AAD2P μανθάνωVB-AAD2P δικαστήςN1M-VPM πέραςN3T-GPN γῆN1-GSF [1]Hear therefore, O ye kings, and understand; learn, ye that be judges of the ends of the earth.
[2]ἐνωτίζομαιVA-AMD2PRA-VPM κρατέωV2-PAPVPM πλῆθοςN3E-GSN καίC γαυρόωVM-XMPVPM ἐπίP ὄχλοςN2-DPM ἔθνοςN3E-GPN [2]Give ear, ye that rule the people, and glory in the multitude of nations.
[3]ὅτιC δίδωμιVCI-API3S παράP κύριοςN2-GSMRA-NSF κράτησιςN3I-NSF σύRP-DP καίCRA-NSF δυναστείαN1A-NSF παράP ὕψιστοςA1-GSM ὅςRR-NSM ἐξετάζωVF-FAI3S σύRP-GPRA-APN ἔργονN2N-APN καίCRA-APF βουλήN1-APF διαἐρευνάωVF-FAI3S [3]For power is given you of the Lord, and sovereignty from the Highest, who shall try your works, and search out your counsels.
[4]ὅτιC ὑπηρέτηςN1M-VPM εἰμίV9-PAPVPMRA-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM βασιλείαN1A-GSF οὐD κρίνωVAI-AAI2P ὀρθῶςD οὐδέC φυλάσσωVAI-AAI2P νόμοςN2-ASM οὐδέC κατάPRA-ASF βουλήN1-ASFRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM πορεύομαιVCI-API2P [4]Because, being ministers of his kingdom, ye have not judged aright, nor kept the law, nor walked after the counsel of God;
[5]φρικτῶςD καίC ταχέωςD ἐπιἵστημιVF-FMI3S σύRP-DP ὅτιC κρίσιςN3I-NSF ἀπότομοςA1B-NSF ἐνPRA-DPM ὑπερἔχωV1-PAPDPM γίγνομαιV1-PMI3S [5]Horribly and speedily shall he come upon you: for a sharp judgment shall be to them that be in high places.
[6]RA-NSM γάρX ἐλαχύςA1-NSMS συγγνωστόςA1B-NSM εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἔλεοςN2-APM δυνατόςA1-NPM δέX δυνατῶςD ἐτάζωVS-FPI3P [6]For mercy will soon pardon the meanest: but mighty men shall be mightily tormented.
[7]οὐD γάρX ὑποστέλλωVF2-FMI3S πρόσωπονN2N-ASNRA-NSM πᾶςA3-GPM δεσπότηςN1M-NSM οὐδέC ἐντρέπωVD-FPI3S μέγεθοςN3E-ASN ὅτιC μικρόςA1A-ASM καίC μέγαςA1P-ASM αὐτόςRD-NSM ποιέωVAI-AAI3S ὁμοίωςD τεX προνοέωVF2-FAI3S περίP πᾶςA3-GPM [7]For he which is Lord over all shall fear no man's person, neither shall he stand in awe of any man's greatness: for he hath made the small and great, and careth for all alike.
[8]RA-DPM δέX κραταιόςA1A-DPM ἰσχυρόςA1A-APN ἐπιἵστημιV6-PMI3S ἔρευναN1A-NSF [8]But a sore trial shall come upon the mighty.
[9]πρόςP σύRP-AP οὖνXI τύραννοςN2-VPMRA-NPM λόγοςN2-NPM ἐγώRP-GS ἵναC μανθάνωVB-AAS2P σοφίαN1A-ASF καίC μήD παραπίπτωVA-AAS2P [9]Unto you therefore, O kings, do I speak, that ye may learn wisdom, and not fall away.
[10]RA-NPM γάρX φυλάσσωVA-AAPNPM ὁσίωςDRA-APN ὅσιοςA1A-APN ὁσιόωVC-FPI3P καίCRA-NPM διδάσκωVC-APPNPM αὐτόςRD-APN εὑρίσκωVF-FAI3P ἀπολογίαN1A-ASF [10]For they that keep holiness holily shall be judged holy: and they that have learned such things shall find what to answer.
[11]ἐπιθυμέωVA-AAD2P οὖνXRA-GPM λόγοςN2-GPM ἐγώRP-GS ποθέωVA-AAD2P καίC παιδεύωVC-FPI2P [11]Wherefore set your affection upon my words; desire them, and ye shall be instructed.
[12]λαμπρόςA1A-NSF καίC ἀμάραντοςA1B-NSF εἰμίV9-PAI3SRA-NSF σοφίαN1A-NSF καίC εὐχερῶςD θεωρέωV2-PMI3S ὑπόPRA-GPM ἀγαπάωV3-PAPGPM αὐτόςRD-ASF καίC εὑρίσκωV1-PMI3S ὑπόPRA-GPM ζητέωV2-PAPGPM αὐτόςRD-ASF [12]Wisdom is glorious, and never fadeth away: yea, she is easily seen of them that love her, and found of such as seek her.
[13]φθάνωV1-PAI3SRA-APM ἐπιθυμόωV4-PAPAPM προγιγνώσκωVS-APN [13]She preventeth them that desire her, in making herself first known unto them.
[14]RA-NSM ὀρθρίζωVA-AAPNSM πρόςP αὐτόςRD-ASF οὐD κοπιάωVF-FAI3S πάρεδροςN2-ASM γάρX εὑρίσκωVF-FAI3SRA-GPF πύληN1-GPF αὐτόςRD-GSM [14]Whoso seeketh her early shall have no great travail: for he shall find her sitting at his doors.
[15]RA-NSN γάρX ἐνθυμέομαιVC-APN περίP αὐτόςRD-GSF φρόνησιςN3I-GSF τελειότηςN3T-NSF καίCRA-NSM ἀγρυπνέωVA-AAPNSM διάP αὐτόςRD-ASF ταχέωςD ἀμέριμνοςA1B-NSM εἰμίVF-FMI3S [15]To think therefore upon her is perfection of wisdom: and whoso watcheth for her shall quickly be without care.
[16]ὅτιCRA-APM ἄξιοςA1A-APM αὐτόςRD-GSF αὐτόςRD-NSF περιἔρχομαιV1-PMI3S ζητέωV2-PAPNSF καίC ἐνPRA-DPF τρίβοςN2-DPF φαντάζομαιV1-PMI3S αὐτόςRD-DPM εὐμενῶςD καίC ἐνP πᾶςA1S-DSF ἐπίνοιαN1A-DSF ὑποἀντάωV3-PAI3S αὐτόςRD-DPM [16]For she goeth about seeking such as are worthy of her, sheweth herself favourably unto them in the ways, and meeteth them in every thought.
[17]ἀρχήN1-NSF γάρX αὐτόςRD-GSFRA-NSF ἀληθήςA3H-NSFS παιδείαN1A-GSF ἐπιθυμίαN1A-NSF φροντίςN3D-NSF δέX παιδείαN1A-GSF ἀγάπηN1-NSF [17]For the very true beginning of her is the desire of discipline; and the care of discipline is love;
[18]ἀγάπηN1-NSF δέX τήρησιςN3I-NSF νόμοςN2-GPM αὐτόςRD-GSF προσοχήN1-NSF δέX νόμοςN2-GPM βεβαίωσιςN3I-NSF ἀφθαρσίαN1A-GSF [18]And love is the keeping of her laws; and the giving heed unto her laws is the assurance of incorruption;
[19]ἀφθαρσίαN1A-NSF δέX ἐγγύςD εἰμίV9-PAN ποιέωV2-PAI3S θεόςN2-GSM [19]And incorruption maketh us near unto God:
[20]ἐπιθυμίαN1A-NSF ἄραX σοφίαN1A-GSF ἀναἄγωV1-PAI3S ἐπίP βασιλείαN1A-ASF [20]Therefore the desire of wisdom bringeth to a kingdom.
[21]εἰC οὖνX ἥδομαιV1-PMI2P ἐπίP θρόνοςN2-DPM καίC σκῆπτρονN2N-DPN τύραννοςN2-VPM λαόςN2-GPM τιμάωVA-AAD2P σοφίαN1A-ASF ἵναC εἰςPRA-ASM αἰώνN3W-ASM βασιλεύωVA-AAS2P [21]If your delight be then in thrones and sceptres, O ye kings of the people, honour wisdom, that ye may reign for evermore.
[22]τίςRI-NSN δέX εἰμίV9-PAI3S σοφίαN1A-NSF καίC πῶςD γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S ἀποἀγγέλλωVF2-FAI1S καίC οὐD ἀποκρύπτωVF-FAI1S σύRP-DP μυστήριονN2N-APN ἀλλάC ἀπόP ἀρχήN1-GSF γένεσιςN3I-GSF ἐξιχνιάζωVF-FAI1S καίC τίθημιVF-FAI1S εἰςPRA-ASN ἐμφανήςA3-ASNRA-ASF γνῶσιςN3I-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSF καίC οὐD μήD παραὁδεύωVF-FAI1SRA-ASF ἀλήθειαN1A-ASF [22]As for wisdom, what she is, and how she came up, I will tell you, and will not hide mysteries from you: but will seek her out from the beginning of her nativity, and bring the knowledge of her into light, and will not pass over the truth.
[23]οὔτεC μήνX φθόνοςN2-DSM τήκωVX-XAPDSM συνὁδεύωVF-FAI1S ὅτιC οὗτοςRD-NSM οὐD κοινωνέωVF-FAI3S σοφίαN1A-DSF [23]Neither will I go with consuming envy; for such a man shall have no fellowship with wisdom.
[24]πλῆθοςN3E-NSN δέX σοφόςA1-GPM σωτηρίαN1A-NSF κόσμοςN2-GSM καίC βασιλεύςN3V-NSM φρόνιμοςA1B-NSM εὐστάθειαN1A-NSF δῆμοςN2-GSM [24]But the multitude of the wise is the welfare of the world: and a wise king is the upholding of the people.
[25]ὥστεC παιδεύωV1-PMD2PRA-DPN ῥῆμαN3M-DPN ἐγώRP-GS καίC ὠφελέωVC-FPI2P [25]Receive therefore instruction through my words, and it shall do you good.
