[1]שַׁאֲלוּ מֵיְהוָה מָטָר בְּעֵת מַלְקֹושׁ יְהוָה עֹשֶׂה חֲזִיזִים וּמְטַר־גֶּשֶׁם יִתֵּן לָהֶם לְאִישׁ עֵשֶׂב בַּשָּׂדֶה׃ |

[2]כִּי הַתְּרָפִים דִּבְּרוּ־אָוֶן וְהַקֹּוסְמִים חָזוּ שֶׁקֶר וַחֲלֹמֹות הַשָּׁוא יְדַבֵּרוּ הֶבֶל יְנַחֵמוּן עַל־כֵּן נָסְעוּ כְמֹו־צֹאן יַעֲנוּ כִּי־אֵין רֹעֶה׃ |
| [3]Mine angerH639 was kindledH2734[H8804] against the shepherdsH7462[H8802], and I punishedH6485[H8799] the goatsH6260: for the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635 hath visitedH6485[H8804] his flockH5739 the houseH1004 of JudahH3063, and hath madeH7760[H8804] them as his goodlyH1935 horseH5483 in the battleH4421. |
[3]עַל־הָרֹעִים חָרָה אַפִּי וְעַל־הָעַתּוּדִים אֶפְקֹוד כִּי־פָקַד יְהוָה צְבָאֹות אֶת־עֶדְרֹו אֶת־בֵּית יְהוּדָה וְשָׂם אֹותָם כְּסוּס הֹודֹו בַּמִּלְחָמָה׃ |
| [4]Out of him came forthH3318[H8799] the cornerH6438, out of him the nailH3489, out of him the battleH4421 bowH7198, out of him every oppressorH5065[H8802] togetherH3162. |
[4]מִמֶּנּוּ פִנָּה מִמֶּנּוּ יָתֵד מִמֶּנּוּ קֶשֶׁת מִלְחָמָה מִמֶּנּוּ יֵצֵא כָל־נֹוגֵשׂ יַחְדָּו׃ |
| [5]And they shall be as mightyH1368 men, which tread downH947[H8802] their enemies in the mireH2916 of the streetsH2351 in the battleH4421: and they shall fightH3898[H8738], because the LORDH3068 is with them, and the ridersH7392[H8802] on horsesH5483 shall be confoundedH3001.[H8689] |
[5]וְהָיוּ כְגִבֹּרִים בֹּוסִים בְּטִיט חוּצֹות בַּמִּלְחָמָה וְנִלְחֲמוּ כִּי יְהוָה עִםָּם וְהֹבִישׁוּ רֹכְבֵי סוּסִים׃ |
| [6]And I will strengthenH1396[H8765] the houseH1004 of JudahH3063, and I will saveH3467[H8686] the houseH1004 of JosephH3130, and I will bring them again to placeH3427[H8689] them; for I have mercyH7355[H8765] upon them: and they shall be as thoughH834 I had not cast them offH2186[H8804]: for I am the LORDH3068 their GodH430, and will hearH6030 themH8799. |
[6]וְגִבַּרְתִּי אֶת־בֵּית יְהוּדָה וְאֶת־בֵּית יֹוסֵף אֹושִׁיעַ וְהֹושְׁבֹותִים כִּי רִחַמְתִּים וְהָיוּ כַּאֲשֶׁר לֹא־זְנַחְתִּים כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיהֶם וְאֶעֱנֵם׃ |
| [7]And they of EphraimH669 shall be like a mightyH1368 man, and their heartH3820 shall rejoiceH8055[H8804] as through wineH3196: yea, their childrenH1121 shall seeH7200[H8799] it, and be gladH8055[H8804]; their heartH3820 shall rejoiceH1523[H8799] in the LORDH3068. |
[7]וְהָיוּ כְגִבֹּור אֶפְרַיִם וְשָׂמַח לִבָּם כְּמֹו־יָיִן וּבְנֵיהֶם יִרְאוּ וְשָׂמֵחוּ יָגֵל לִבָּם בַּיהוָה׃ |
| [8]I will hissH8319[H8799] for them, and gatherH6908[H8762] them; for I have redeemedH6299[H8804] them: and they shall increaseH7235[H8804] as they have increasedH7235.[H8804] |
[8]אֶשְׁרְקָה לָהֶם וַאֲקַבְּצֵם כִּי פְדִיתִים וְרָבוּ כְּמֹו רָבוּ׃ |
| [9]And I will sowH2232[H8799] them among the peopleH5971: and they shall rememberH2142[H8799] me in far countriesH4801; and they shall liveH2421[H8804] with their childrenH1121, and turn againH7725.[H8804] |
[9]וְאֶזְרָעֵם בָּעַמִּים וּבַמֶּרְחַקִּים יִזְכְּרוּנִי וְחָיוּ אֶת־בְּנֵיהֶם וָשָׁבוּ׃ |
| [10]I will bring them againH7725[H8689] also out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and gatherH6908[H8762] them out of AssyriaH804; and I will bringH935[H8686] them into the landH776 of GileadH1568 and LebanonH3844; and place shall not be foundH4672 for themH8735. |
[10]וַהֲשִׁיבֹותִים מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם וּמֵאַשּׁוּר אֲקַבְּצֵם וְאֶל־אֶרֶץ גִּלְעָד וּלְבָנֹון אֲבִיאֵם וְלֹא יִמָּצֵא לָהֶם׃ |
| [11]And he shall pass throughH5674[H8804] the seaH3220 with afflictionH6869, and shall smiteH5221[H8689] the wavesH1530 in the seaH3220, and all the deepsH4688 of the riverH2975 shall dry upH3001[H8689]: and the prideH1347 of AssyriaH804 shall be brought downH3381[H8717], and the sceptreH7626 of EgyptH4714 shall depart awayH5493.[H8799] |
[11]וְעָבַר בַּיָּם צָרָה וְהִכָּה בַיָּם גַּלִּים וְהֹבִישׁוּ כֹּל מְצוּלֹות יְאֹר וְהוּרַד גְּאֹון אַשּׁוּר וְשֵׁבֶט מִצְרַיִם יָסוּר׃ |
| [12]And I will strengthenH1396[H8765] them in the LORDH3068; and they shall walk up and downH1980[H8691] in his nameH8034, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068. |
[12]וְגִבַּרְתִּים בַּיהוָה וּבִשְׁמֹו יִתְהַלָּכוּ נְאֻם יְהוָה׃ |
