| [1]ואשב ואשא עיני ואראה והנה ארבע מרכבות יצאות מבין שני ההרים וההרים הרי נחשת |
[1]Again, I turned and lifted up mine eyes, and looked: and behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains, and the mountains were mountains of brass. |
| [2]במרכבה הראשנה סוסים אדמים ובמרכבה השנית סוסים שחרים |
[2]In the first chariot were red horses, and in the second chariot black horses, |
| [3]ובמרכבה השלשית סוסים לבנים ובמרכבה הרבעית סוסים ברדים אמצים |
[3]And in the third chariot white horses, and in the fourth chariot, horses of divers colors, and reddish. |
| [4]ואען ואמר אל המלאך הדבר בי מה אלה אדני |
[4]Then I answered, and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my Lord? |
| [5]ויען המלאך ויאמר אלי אלה ארבע רוחות השמים יוצאות מהתיצב על אדון כל הארץ |
[5]And the angel answered, and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heaven, which go forth from standing with the Lord of all the earth. |
| [6]אשר בה הסוסים השחרים יצאים אל ארץ צפון והלבנים יצאו אל אחריהם והברדים־יצאו אל ארץ התימן |
[6]That with the black horse went forth into the land of the north, and the white went out after them, and they of divers colors went forth toward the south country. |
| [7]והאמצים יצאו ויבקשו ללכת להתהלך בארץ ויאמר לכו התהלכו בארץ ותתהלכנה בארץ |
[7]And the reddish went out, and required to go, and pass through the world, and he said, Go pass through the world. So they went throughout the world. |
| [8]ויזעק אתי וידבר אלי לאמר ראה היוצאים אל ארץ צפון־הניחו את רוחי בארץ צפון |
[8]Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country, have pacified my spirit in the north country. |
| [9]ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר |
[9]And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, |
| [10]לקוח מאת הגולה מחלדי ומאת טוביה ומאת ידעיה ובאת אתה ביום ההוא ובאת בית יאשיה בן צפניה אשר באו מבבל |
[10]Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, and of Tobijah, and Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go unto the house of Josiah, the son of Zephaniah. |
| [11]ולקחת כסף וזהב ועשית עטרות ושמת בראש יהושע בן יהוצדק־הכהן הגדול |
[11]Take even silver, and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua, the son of Jehozadak the high priest, |
| [12]ואמרת אליו לאמר כה אמר יהוה צבאות לאמר הנה איש צמח שמו ומתחתיו יצמח ובנה את היכל יהוה |
[12]And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, and saith, Behold the man whose name is The Branch, and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord. |
| [13]והוא יבנה את היכל יהוה והוא ישא הוד וישב ומשל על כסאו והיה כהן על כסאו ועצת שלום תהיה בין שניהם |
[13]Even he shall build the temple of the Lord, and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne, and he shall be a priest upon his throne, and the counsel of peace shall be between them both. |
| [14]והעטרת תהיה לחלם ולטוביה ולידעיה ולחן בן צפניה־לזכרון בהיכל יהוה |
[14]And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the Lord. |
| [15]ורחוקים יבאו ובנו בהיכל יהוה וידעתם כי יהוה צבאות שלחני אליכם והיה אם שמוע תשמעון בקול יהוה אלהיכם |
[15]And they that are far off, shall come and build in the temple of the Lord, and ye shall know, that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will obey the voice of the Lord your God. |
