| [1]Again the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came unto me, sayingH559,[H8800] |
[1]Again, the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, |
| [2]SonH1121 of manH120, cause JerusalemH3389 to knowH3045[H8685] her abominationsH8441, |
[2]Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations, |
| [3]And sayH559[H8804], Thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069 unto JerusalemH3389; Thy birthH4351 and thy nativityH4138 is of the landH776 of CanaanH3669; thy fatherH1 was an AmoriteH567, and thy motherH517 an HittiteH2850. |
[3]And say, Thus saith the Lord God unto Jerusalem, Thine habitation and thy kindred is of the land of Canaan: thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite. |
| [4]And as for thy nativityH4138, in the dayH3117 thou wast bornH3205[H8715] thy navelH8270 was not cutH3772[H8795], neither wast thou washedH7364[H8795] in waterH4325 to suppleH4935 thee; thou wast not saltedH4414[H8717] at allH4414[H8715], nor swaddledH2853[H8795] at allH2853.[H8715] |
[4]And in thy nativity when thou wast born, thy navel was not cut: thou wast not washed in water to soften thee: thou wast not salted with salt, nor swaddled in clouts. |
| [5]None eyeH5869 pitiedH2347[H8804] thee, to doH6213[H8800] anyH259 of these unto thee, to have compassionH2550[H8800] upon thee; but thou wast cast outH7993[H8714] in the openH6440 fieldH7704, to the lothingH1604 of thy personH5315, in the dayH3117 that thou wast bornH3205.[H8715] |
[5]None eye pitied thee to do any of these unto thee, for to have compassion upon thee, but thou wast cast out in the open field to the contempt of thy person in the day that thou wast born. |
| [6]And when I passedH5674[H8799] by thee, and sawH7200[H8799] thee pollutedH947[H8711] in thine own bloodH1818, I saidH559[H8799] unto thee when thou wast in thy bloodH1818, LiveH2421[H8798]; yea, I saidH559[H8799] unto thee when thou wast in thy bloodH1818, LiveH2421.[H8798] |
[6]And when I passed by thee, I saw thee polluted in thine own blood, and I said unto thee, when thou wast in thy blood, Thou shalt live: even when thou wast in thy blood, I said unto thee, Thou shalt live. |
| [7]I have causedH5414[H8804] thee to multiplyH7233 as the budH6780 of the fieldH7704, and thou hast increasedH7235[H8799] and waxen greatH1431[H8799], and thou art comeH935[H8799] to excellentH5716 ornamentsH5716: thy breastsH7699 are fashionedH3559[H8738], and thine hairH8181 is grownH6779[H8765], whereas thou wast nakedH5903 and bareH6181. |
[7]I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou hast gotten excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, thine hair is grown, where as thou wast naked and bare. |
| [8]Now when I passedH5674[H8799] by thee, and lookedH7200[H8799] upon thee, behold, thy timeH6256 was the timeH6256 of loveH1730; and I spreadH6566[H8799] my skirtH3671 over thee, and coveredH3680[H8762] thy nakednessH6172: yea, I swareH7650[H8735] unto thee, and enteredH935[H8799] into a covenantH1285 with thee, saithH5002[H8803] the LordH136 GOD, and thou becamest mineH3069. |
[8]Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was as the time of love, and I spread my skirts over thee, and covered thy filthiness: yea, I swear unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord God, and thou becamest mine. |
| [9]Then washedH7364[H8799] I thee with waterH4325; yea, I throughly washed awayH7857[H8799] thy bloodH1818 from thee, and I anointedH5480[H8799] thee with oilH8081. |
[9]Then washed I thee with water: yea, I washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil. |
| [10]I clothedH3847[H8686] thee also with broidered workH7553, and shodH5274[H8799] thee with badgers' skinH8476, and I girdedH2280[H8799] thee about with fine linenH8336, and I coveredH3680[H8762] thee with silkH4897. |
[10]I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badger's skin: and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk. |
| [11]I deckedH5710[H8799] thee also with ornamentsH5716, and I putH5414[H8799] braceletsH6781 upon thy handsH3027, and a chainH7242 on thy neckH1627. |
[11]I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thine hands, and a chain on thy neck. |
| [12]And I putH5414[H8799] a jewelH5141 on thy foreheadH639, and earringsH5694 in thine earsH241, and a beautifulH8597 crownH5850 upon thine headH7218. |
[12]And I put a frontlet upon thy face, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head. |
| [13]Thus wast thou deckedH5710[H8799] with goldH2091 and silverH3701; and thy raimentH4403 was of fine linenH8336[H8675][H8336], and silkH4897, and broidered workH7553; thou didst eatH398[H8804] fine flourH5560, and honeyH1706, and oilH8081: and thou wast exceedingH3966 beautifulH3302[H8799], and thou didst prosperH6743[H8799] into a kingdomH4410. |
[13]Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver, and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work: thou didst eat fine flour, and honey and oil, and thou wast very beautiful, and thou didst grow up into a kingdom. |
| [14]And thy renownH8034 went forthH3318[H8799] among the heathenH1471 for thy beautyH3308: for it was perfectH3632 through my comelinessH1926, which I had putH7760[H8804] upon thee, saithH5002[H8803] the LordH136 GODH3069. |
[14]And thy name was spread among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my beauty which I had set upon thee, saith the Lord God. |
| [15]But thou didst trustH982[H8799] in thine own beautyH3308, and playedst the harlotH2181[H8799] because of thy renownH8034, and pouredst outH8210[H8799] thy fornicationsH8457 on every one that passed byH5674; his it wasH8802. |
[15]Now thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot, because of thy renown, and hast poured out thy fornications on every one that passed by, thy desire was to him. |
| [16]And of thy garmentsH899 thou didst takeH3947[H8799], and deckedstH6213[H8799] thy high placesH1116 with divers coloursH2921[H8803], and playedst the harlotH2181[H8799] thereupon: the like things shall not comeH935, neither shall it be soH8802. |
[16]And thou didst take thy garments, and decked thine high places with divers colors, and played the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither hath any done so. |
| [17]Thou hast also takenH3947[H8799] thy fairH8597 jewelsH3627 of my goldH2091 and of my silverH3701, which I had givenH5414[H8804] thee, and madestH6213[H8799] to thyself imagesH6754 of menH2145, and didst commit whoredomH2181 with themH8799, |
[17]Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels made of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them, |
| [18]And tookestH3947[H8799] thy broideredH7553 garmentsH899, and coveredstH3680[H8762] them: and thou hast setH5414[H8804] mine oilH8081 and mine incenseH7004 before themH6440. |
[18]And tookest thy broidered garments, and covered them: and thou hast set mine oil and my perfume before them. |
| [19]My meatH3899 also which I gaveH5414[H8804] thee, fine flourH5560, and oilH8081, and honeyH1706, wherewith I fedH398[H8689] thee, thou hast even setH5414[H8804] it beforeH6440 them for a sweetH5207 savourH7381: and thus it was, saithH5002[H8803] the LordH136 GODH3069. |
[19]My meat also, which I gave thee, as fine flour, oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savor: thus it was, saith the Lord God. |
| [20]Moreover thou hast takenH3947[H8799] thy sonsH1121 and thy daughtersH1323, whom thou hast borneH3205[H8804] unto me, and these hast thou sacrificedH2076[H8799] unto them to be devouredH398[H8800]. Is this of thy whoredomsH8457 a small matterH4592, |
[20]Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast born unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them, to be devoured: is this thy whoredom a small matter? |
| [21]That thou hast slainH7819[H8799] my childrenH1121, and deliveredH5414[H8799] them to cause them to pass throughH5674 the fire for themH8687? |
[21]That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through fire for them? |
| [22]And in all thine abominationsH8441 and thy whoredomsH8457 thou hast not rememberedH2142[H8804] the daysH3117 of thy youthH5271, when thou wast nakedH5903 and bareH6181, and wast pollutedH947[H8711] in thy bloodH1818. |
[22]And in all thine abominations and whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood. |
| [23]And it came to pass afterH310 all thy wickednessH7451, (woeH188, woeH188 unto thee! saithH5002[H8803] the LordH136 GODH3069;) |
[23]And beside all thy wickedness (woe, woe unto thee, saith the Lord God) |
| [24]That thou hast also builtH1129[H8799] unto thee an eminent placeH1354, and hast madeH6213[H8799] thee an high placeH7413 in every streetH7339. |
[24]Thou hast also built unto thee an high place, and hast made thee an high place in every street. |
| [25]Thou hast builtH1129[H8804] thy high placeH7413 at every headH7218 of the wayH1870, and hast made thy beautyH3308 to be abhorredH8581[H8762], and hast openedH6589[H8762] thy feetH7272 to every one that passed byH5674[H8802], and multipliedH7235[H8686] thy whoredomsH8457. |
[25]Thou hast built thine high place at every corner of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred: thou hast opened thy feet to everyone that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredom. |
| [26]Thou hast also committed fornicationH2181[H8799] with the EgyptiansH1121[H4714] thy neighboursH7934, greatH1432 of fleshH1320; and hast increasedH7235[H8686] thy whoredomsH8457, to provoke me to angerH3707.[H8687] |
[26]Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbors, which have great members, and hast increased thy whoredom, to provoke me. |
| [27]Behold, therefore I have stretched outH5186[H8804] my handH3027 over thee, and have diminishedH1639[H8799] thine ordinaryH2706 food, and deliveredH5414[H8799] thee unto the willH5315 of them that hateH8130[H8802] thee, the daughtersH1323 of the PhilistinesH6430, which are ashamedH3637[H8737] of thy lewdH2154 wayH1870. |
[27]Behold, therefore I did stretch out mine hand over thee, and will diminish thine ordinary, and deliver thee unto the will of them that hate thee, even to the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy wicked way. |
| [28]Thou hast played the whoreH2181[H8799] also with the AssyriansH1121[H804], becauseH1115 thou wast unsatiableH7646[H8804]; yea, thou hast played the harlotH2181[H8799] with them, and yet couldest not be satisfiedH7654. |
[28]Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast insatiable: yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied. |
| [29]Thou hast moreover multipliedH7235[H8686] thy fornicationH8457 in the landH776 of CanaanH3667 unto ChaldeaH3778; and yet thou wast not satisfiedH7646[H8804] herewithH2063. |
[29]Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication from the land of Canaan unto Chaldea, and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith. |
| [30]How weakH535[H8802] is thine heartH3826, saithH5002[H8803] the LordH136 GODH3069, seeing thou doestH6213[H8800] all these things, the workH4639 of an imperiousH7986 whorishH2181[H8803] womanH802; |
[30]How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord God, seeing thou doest all these things, even the work of a presumptuous whorish woman? |
| [31]In that thou buildestH1129[H8800] thine eminent placeH1354 in the headH7218 of every wayH1870, and makestH6213[H8804] thine high placeH7413 in every streetH7339; and hast not been as an harlotH2181[H8802], in that thou scornestH7046[H8763] hireH868; |
[31]In that thou buildest thine high place in the corner of every way, and makest thine high place in every street, and hast not been as an harlot that despiseth a reward, |
| [32]But as a wifeH802 that committeth adulteryH5003[H8764], which takethH3947[H8799] strangersH2114[H8801] instead of her husbandH376! |
[32]But as a wife that playeth the harlot, and taketh others for her husband: |
| [33]They giveH5414[H8799] giftsH5078 to all whoresH2181[H8802]: but thou givestH5414[H8804] thy giftsH5083 to all thy loversH157[H8764], and hirestH7809[H8799] them, that they may comeH935[H8800] unto thee on every sideH5439 for thy whoredomH8457. |
[33]They give gifts to all other whores, but thou givest gifts unto all thy lovers, and rewardest them, that they may come unto thee on every side for thy fornication. |
| [34]And the contraryH2016 is in thee from other womenH802 in thy whoredomsH8457, whereas none followethH310 thee to commit whoredomsH2181[H8795]: and in that thou givestH5414[H8800] a rewardH868, and no rewardH868 is givenH5414[H8738] unto thee, therefore thou artH1961[H8799] contraryH2016. |
[34]And the contrary is in thee from other women in thy fornications, neither the like fornication shall be after thee: for in that thou givest a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary. |
| [35]Wherefore, O harlotH2181[H8802], hearH8085[H8798] the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068: |
[35]Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the Lord. |
| [36]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; Because thy filthinessH5178 was poured outH8210[H8736], and thy nakednessH6172 discoveredH1540[H8735] through thy whoredomsH8457 with thy loversH157[H8764], and with all the idolsH1544 of thy abominationsH8441, and by the bloodH1818 of thy childrenH1121, which thou didst giveH5414 unto themH8804; |
[36]Thus saith the Lord God, Because thy shame was poured out, and thy filthiness discovered through thy fornications with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thine abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst offer unto them, |
| [37]Behold, therefore I will gatherH6908[H8764] all thy loversH157[H8764], with whom thou hast taken pleasureH6149[H8804], and all them that thou hast lovedH157[H8804], with all them that thou hast hatedH8130[H8804]; I will even gatherH6908[H8765] them round aboutH5439 against thee, and will discoverH1540[H8765] thy nakednessH6172 unto them, that they may seeH7200[H8804] all thy nakednessH6172. |
[37]Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated: I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy filthiness unto them, that they may see all thy filthiness. |
| [38]And I will judgeH8199[H8804] thee, as women that break wedlockH5003[H8802] and shedH8210[H8802] bloodH1818 are judgedH4941; and I will giveH5414[H8804] thee bloodH1818 in furyH2534 and jealousyH7068. |
[38]And I will judge thee after the manner of them that are harlots, and of them that shed blood, and I will give thee the blood of wrath and jealousy. |
| [39]And I will also giveH5414[H8804] thee into their handH3027, and they shall throw downH2040[H8804] thine eminent placeH1354, and shall break downH5422[H8765] thy high placesH7413: they shall stripH6584[H8689] thee also of thy clothesH899, and shall takeH3947[H8804] thy fairH8597 jewelsH3627, and leaveH3240[H8689] thee nakedH5903 and bareH6181. |
[39]I will also give thee into their hands, and they shall destroy thine high place, and shall break down thine high places. They shall strip thee also out of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare. |
| [40]They shall also bring upH5927[H8689] a companyH6951 against thee, and they shall stoneH7275[H8804] thee with stonesH68, and thrust thee throughH1333[H8765] with their swordsH2719. |
[40]They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords. |
| [41]And they shall burnH8313[H8804] thine housesH1004 with fireH784, and executeH6213[H8804] judgmentsH8201 upon thee in the sightH5869 of manyH7227 womenH802: and I will cause thee to ceaseH7673[H8689] from playing the harlotH2181[H8802], and thou also shalt giveH5414[H8799] no hire any moreH868. |
[41]And they shall burn up thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou shalt give no reward anymore. |
| [42]So will I make my furyH2534 toward thee to restH5117[H8689], and my jealousyH7068 shall departH5493[H8804] from thee, and I will be quietH8252[H8804], and will be no more angryH3707.[H8799] |
[42]So will I make my wrath toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will cease and be no more angry. |
| [43]Because thou hast not rememberedH2142[H8804] the daysH3117 of thy youthH5271, but hast frettedH7264[H8799] me in all these things; beholdH1887, therefore I also will recompenseH5414[H8804] thy wayH1870 upon thine headH7218, saithH5002[H8803] the LordH136 GODH3069: and thou shalt not commitH6213[H8804] this lewdnessH2154 above all thine abominationsH8441. |
[43]Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast provoked me with all these things, behold, therefore I also have brought thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord God: yet hast not thou had consideration of all thine abominations. |
| [44]Behold, every one that useth proverbsH4911[H8802] shall use this proverbH4911[H8799] against thee, sayingH559[H8800], As is the motherH517, so is her daughterH1323. |
[44]Behold, all that use proverbs, shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter. |
| [45]Thou art thy mother'sH517 daughterH1323, that lothethH1602[H8802] her husbandH376 and her childrenH1121; and thou art the sisterH269 of thy sistersH269, which lothedH1602[H8804] their husbandsH582 and their childrenH1121: your motherH517 was an HittiteH2850, and your fatherH1 an AmoriteH567. |
[45]Thou art thy mother's daughter, that hath cast off her husband and her children, and thou art the sister of thy sisters, which forsook their husbands and their children: your mother is an Hittite, and your father an Amorite. |
| [46]And thine elderH1419 sisterH269 is SamariaH8111, she and her daughtersH1323 that dwellH3427[H8802] at thy left handH8040: and thy youngerH6996 sisterH269, that dwellethH3427[H8802] at thy right handH3225, is SodomH5467 and her daughtersH1323. |
[46]And thine elder sister is Samaria, and her daughters, that dwell at thy left hand, and thy young sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom, and her daughters. |
| [47]Yet hast thou not walkedH1980[H8804] after their waysH1870, nor doneH6213[H8804] after their abominationsH8441: but, as if that were a veryH6985 littleH4592[H6962][H8804] thing, thou wast corruptedH7843[H8686] more than theyH2004 in all thy waysH1870. |
[47]Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but as it had been a very little thing, thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways. |
| [48]As I liveH2416, saithH5002[H8803] the LordH136 GODH3069, SodomH5467 thy sisterH269 hath not doneH6213[H8804], she nor her daughtersH1323, as thou hast doneH6213[H8804], thou and thy daughtersH1323. |
[48]As I live, saith the Lord God, Sodom thy sister hath not done, neither she nor her daughters, as thou hast done and thy daughters. |
| [49]Behold, this was the iniquityH5771 of thy sisterH269 SodomH5467, prideH1347, fulnessH7653 of breadH3899, and abundanceH7962 of idlenessH8252[H8687] was in her and in her daughtersH1323, neither did she strengthenH2388[H8689] the handH3027 of the poorH6041 and needyH34. |
[49]Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her, and in her daughters: neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. |
| [50]And they were haughtyH1361[H8799], and committedH6213[H8799] abominationH8441 beforeH6440 me: therefore I took them awayH5493[H8686] as I sawH7200 goodH8804. |
[50]But they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away, as pleased me. |
| [51]Neither hath SamariaH8111 committedH2398[H8804] halfH2677 of thy sinsH2403; but thou hast multipliedH7235[H8686] thine abominationsH8441 more than theyH2007, and hast justifiedH6663[H8762] thy sistersH269 in all thine abominationsH8441 which thou hast doneH6213.[H8804] |
[51]Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins, but thou hast exceeded them in thine abominations, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations, which thou hast done. |
| [52]Thou also, which hast judgedH6419[H8765] thy sistersH269, bearH5375[H8798] thine own shameH3639 for thy sinsH2403 that thou hast committed more abominableH8581[H8689] than theyH2004: they are more righteousH6663[H8799] than thou: yea, be thou confoundedH954[H8798] also, and bearH5375[H8798] thy shameH3639, in that thou hast justifiedH6663[H8763] thy sistersH269. |
[52]Therefore thou which hast justified thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins, that thou hast committed more abominable than they which are more righteous than thou art: be thou therefore confounded also, and bear thy shame, seeing that thou hast justified thy sisters. |
| [53]When I shall bring againH7725[H8804] their captivityH7622[H8675][H7622], the captivityH7622[H8675][H7622] of SodomH5467 and her daughtersH1323, and the captivityH7622[H8676][H7622] of SamariaH8111 and her daughtersH1323, then will I bring again the captivityH7622[H8675][H7622] of thy captivesH7622 in the midst of themH8432: |
[53]Therefore I will bring again their captivity with the captivity of Sodom, and her daughters, and with the captivity of Samaria, and her daughters: even the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them, |
| [54]That thou mayest bearH5375[H8799] thine own shameH3639, and mayest be confoundedH3637[H8738] in all that thou hast doneH6213[H8804], in that thou art a comfortH5162 unto themH8763. |
[54]That thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou hast comforted them. |
| [55]When thy sistersH269, SodomH5467 and her daughtersH1323, shall returnH7725[H8799] to their former estateH6927, and SamariaH8111 and her daughtersH1323 shall returnH7725[H8799] to their former estateH6927, then thou and thy daughtersH1323 shall returnH7725[H8799] to your former estateH6927. |
[55]And thy sister Sodom and her daughters shall return to their former state: Samaria also and her daughters shall return to their former state, when thou and thy daughters shall return to your former state. |
| [56]For thy sisterH269 SodomH5467 was not mentionedH8052 by thy mouthH6310 in the dayH3117 of thy prideH1347, |
[56]For thy sister Sodom was not heard of by thy report in the day of thy pride, |
| [57]Before thy wickednessH7451 was discoveredH1540[H8735], as at the timeH6256 of thy reproachH2781 of the daughtersH1323 of SyriaH758, and all that are round aboutH5439 her, the daughtersH1323 of the PhilistinesH6430, which despiseH7590[H8801] thee round aboutH5439. |
[57]Before thy wickedness was discovered, as in that same time of the reproach of the daughters of Aram [Syria], and of all the daughters of the Philistines round about her which despise thee on all sides. |
| [58]Thou hast borneH5375[H8804] thy lewdnessH2154 and thine abominationsH8441, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068. |
[58]Thou hast born therefore thy wickedness and thine abomination, saith the Lord. |
| [59]For thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; I will even dealH6213[H8804] with thee as thou hast doneH6213[H8804], which hast despisedH959[H8804] the oathH423 in breakingH6565[H8687] the covenantH1285. |
[59]For thus saith the Lord God, I might even deal with thee, as thou hast done: when thou didst despise the oath, in breaking the covenant. |
| [60]Nevertheless I will rememberH2142[H8804] my covenantH1285 with thee in the daysH3117 of thy youthH5271, and I will establishH6965[H8689] unto thee an everlastingH5769 covenantH1285. |
[60]Nevertheless, I will remember my covenant made with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will confirm unto thee an everlasting covenant. |
| [61]Then thou shalt rememberH2142[H8804] thy waysH1870, and be ashamedH3637[H8738], when thou shalt receiveH3947[H8800] thy sistersH269, thine elderH1419 and thy youngerH6996: and I will giveH5414[H8804] them unto thee for daughtersH1323, but not by thy covenantH1285. |
[61]Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, both thy elder and thy younger, and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant. |
| [62]And I will establishH6965[H8689] my covenantH1285 with thee; and thou shalt knowH3045[H8804] that I am the LORDH3068: |
[62]And I will establish my covenant with thee, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord, |
| [63]That thou mayest rememberH2142[H8799], and be confoundedH954[H8804], and never openH6610 thy mouthH6310 any more becauseH6440 of thy shameH3639, when I am pacifiedH3722[H8763] toward thee for all that thou hast doneH6213[H8804], saithH5002[H8803] the LordH136 GODH3069. |
[63]That thou mayest remember, and be ashamed, and never open thy mouth anymore: because of thy shame when I am pacified toward thee, for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord God. |
