[2]And caused me to passH5674[H8689] by them round aboutH5439: and, behold, there were veryH3966 manyH7227 in the openH6440 valleyH1237; and, lo, they were veryH3966 dryH3002.
[3]And he saidH559[H8799] unto me, SonH1121 of manH120, can these bonesH6106 liveH2421[H8799]? And I answeredH559[H8799], O LordH136 GODH3069, thou knowestH3045.[H8804]
[4]Again he saidH559[H8799] unto me, ProphesyH5012[H8734] upon these bonesH6106, and sayH559[H8804] unto them, O ye dryH3002 bonesH6106, hearH8085[H8798] the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068.
[5]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069 unto these bonesH6106; Behold, I will cause breathH7307 to enterH935[H8688] into you, and ye shall liveH2421:[H8804]
[6]And I will layH5414[H8804] sinewsH1517 upon you, and will bring upH5927[H8689] fleshH1320 upon you, and coverH7159[H8804] you with skinH5785, and putH5414[H8804] breathH7307 in you, and ye shall liveH2421[H8804]; and ye shall knowH3045[H8804] that I am the LORDH3068.
[7]So I prophesiedH5012[H8738] as I was commandedH6680[H8795]: and as I prophesiedH5012[H8736], there was a noiseH6963, and behold a shakingH7494, and the bonesH6106 came togetherH7126[H8799], boneH6106 to his boneH6106.
[8]And when I beheldH7200[H8804], lo, the sinewsH1517 and the fleshH1320 came upH5927[H8804] upon them, and the skinH5785 coveredH7159[H8799] them aboveH4605: but there was no breath in themH7307.
[9]Then saidH559[H8799] he unto me, ProphesyH5012[H8734] unto the windH7307, prophesyH5012[H8734], sonH1121 of manH120, and sayH559[H8804] to the windH7307, Thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; ComeH935[H8798] from the fourH702 windsH7307, O breathH7307, and breatheH5301[H8798] upon these slainH2026[H8803], that they may liveH2421.[H8799]
[10]So I prophesiedH5012[H8694] as he commandedH6680[H8765] me, and the breathH7307 cameH935[H8799] into them, and they livedH2421[H8799], and stood upH5975[H8799] upon their feetH7272, an exceedingH3966[H3966] greatH1419 armyH2428.
[11]Then he saidH559[H8799] unto me, SonH1121 of manH120, these bonesH6106 are the whole houseH1004 of IsraelH3478: behold, they sayH559[H8802], Our bonesH6106 are driedH3001[H8804], and our hopeH8615 is lostH6[H8804]: we are cut offH1504 for our partsH8738.
[12]Therefore prophesyH5012[H8734] and sayH559[H8804] unto them, Thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; Behold, O my peopleH5971, I will openH6605[H8802] your gravesH6913, and cause you to come upH5927[H8689] out of your gravesH6913, and bringH935[H8689] you into the landH127 of IsraelH3478.
[13]And ye shall knowH3045[H8804] that I am the LORDH3068, when I have openedH6605[H8800] your gravesH6913, O my peopleH5971, and brought you upH5927[H8687] out of your gravesH6913,
[14]And shall putH5414[H8804] my spiritH7307 in you, and ye shall liveH2421[H8804], and I shall placeH3240[H8689] you in your own landH127: then shall ye knowH3045[H8804] that I the LORDH3068 have spokenH1696[H8765] it, and performedH6213[H8804] it, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068.
[15]The wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came again unto me, sayingH559,[H8800]
[16]Moreover, thou sonH1121 of manH120, takeH3947[H8798] thee oneH259 stickH6086, and writeH3789[H8798] upon it, For JudahH3063, and for the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 his companionsH2270: then takeH3947[H8798] anotherH259 stickH6086, and writeH3789[H8798] upon it, For JosephH3130, the stickH6086 of EphraimH669, and for all the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 his companionsH2270:
[17]And joinH7126[H8761] them oneH259 to anotherH259 into oneH259 stickH6086; and they shall become oneH259 in thine handH3027.
[18]And when the childrenH1121 of thy peopleH5971 shall speakH559[H8799] unto thee, sayingH559[H8800], Wilt thou not shewH5046 us what thou meanest by theseH8686?
[19]SayH1696[H8761] unto them, Thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; Behold, I will takeH3947[H8802] the stickH6086 of JosephH3130, which is in the handH3027 of EphraimH669, and the tribesH7626 of IsraelH3478 his fellowsH2270, and will putH5414[H8804] them with him, even with the stickH6086 of JudahH3063, and makeH6213[H8804] them oneH259 stickH6086, and they shall be oneH259 in mine handH3027.
[20]And the sticksH6086 whereon thou writestH3789[H8799] shall be in thine handH3027 before their eyesH5869.
[21]And sayH1696[H8761] unto them, Thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; Behold, I will takeH3947[H8802] the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 from amongH996 the heathenH1471, whither they be goneH1980[H8804], and will gatherH6908[H8765] them on every sideH5439, and bringH935[H8689] them into their own landH127:
[22]And I will makeH6213[H8804] them oneH259 nationH1471 in the landH776 upon the mountainsH2022 of IsraelH3478; and oneH259 kingH4428 shall be kingH4428 to them all: and they shall beH5750 no more twoH8147 nationsH1471, neither shall they be dividedH2673[H8735] into twoH8147 kingdoms any more at allH4467:
[23]Neither shall they defileH2930[H8691] themselves any more with their idolsH1544, nor with their detestable thingsH8251, nor with any of their transgressionsH6588: but I will saveH3467[H8689] them out of all their dwellingplacesH4186, wherein they have sinnedH2398[H8804], and will cleanseH2891[H8765] them: so shall they be my peopleH5971, and I will be their GodH430.
[24]And DavidH1732 my servantH5650 shall be kingH4428 over them; and they all shall have oneH259 shepherdH7462[H8802]: they shall also walkH3212[H8799] in my judgmentsH4941, and observeH8104[H8799] my statutesH2708, and doH6213 themH8804.
[25]And they shall dwellH3427[H8804] in the landH776 that I have givenH5414[H8804] unto JacobH3290 my servantH5650, wherein your fathersH1 have dweltH3427[H8804]; and they shall dwellH3427[H8804] therein, even they, and their childrenH1121, and their children'sH1121 childrenH1121 for everH5769: and my servantH5650 DavidH1732 shall be their princeH5387 forH5704 everH5769.
[26]Moreover I will makeH3772[H8804] a covenantH1285 of peaceH7965 with them; it shall be an everlastingH5769 covenantH1285 with them: and I will placeH5414[H8804] them, and multiplyH7235[H8689] them, and will setH5414[H8804] my sanctuaryH4720 in the midstH8432 of them for evermoreH5769.
[27]My tabernacleH4908 also shall be with them: yea, I will be their GodH430, and they shall be my peopleH5971.
[28]And the heathenH1471 shall knowH3045[H8804] that I the LORDH3068 do sanctifyH6942[H8764] IsraelH3478, when my sanctuaryH4720 shall be in the midstH8432 of them for evermoreH5769.
