[1]Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia (that the word of the Lord, spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah, might be accomplished) the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, and he made a proclamation through all his kingdom, and also by writing, saying, |
| [2]Thus saithH559[H8804] CyrusH3566 kingH4428 of PersiaH6539, The LORDH3068 GodH430 of heavenH8064 hath givenH5414[H8804] me all the kingdomsH4467 of the earthH776; and he hath chargedH6485[H8804] me to buildH1129[H8800] him an houseH1004 at JerusalemH3389, which is in JudahH3063. |
[2]Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The Lord God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he hath commanded me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. |
| [3]Who is there among you of all his peopleH5971? His GodH430 be with him, and let him go upH5927[H8799] to JerusalemH3389, which is in JudahH3063, and buildH1129[H8799] the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478, (heH1931 is the GodH430,) which is in JerusalemH3389. |
[3]Who is he among you of all his people with whom his God is? Let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel: he is the God, which is in Jerusalem. |
| [4]And whosoever remainethH7604[H8737] in any placeH4725 where he sojournethH1481[H8802], let the menH582 of his placeH4725 helpH5375[H8762] him with silverH3701, and with goldH2091, and with goodsH7399, and with beastsH929, beside the freewill offeringH5071 for the houseH1004 of GodH430 that is in JerusalemH3389. |
[4]And every one that remaineth in any place (where he sojourneth) let the men of his place relieve him with silver and with gold, and with substance, and with cattle, and with a willing offering, for the house of God that is in Jerusalem. |
| [5]Then rose upH6965[H8799] the chiefH7218 of the fathersH1 of JudahH3063 and BenjaminH1144, and the priestsH3548, and the LevitesH3881, with all them whose spiritH7307 GodH430 had raisedH5782[H8689], to go upH5927[H8800] to buildH1129[H8800] the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 which is in JerusalemH3389. |
[5]Then the chief fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and Levites rose up, with all them whose spirit God had raised to go up, to build the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem. |
| [6]And all they that were aboutH5439 them strengthenedH2388[H8765] their handsH3027 with vesselsH3627 of silverH3701, with goldH2091, with goodsH7399, and with beastsH929, and with precious thingsH4030, beside all that was willingly offeredH5068.[H8692] |
[6]And all they that were about them, strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with substance and with cattle, and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered. |
| [7]Also CyrusH3566 the kingH4428 brought forthH3318[H8689] the vesselsH3627 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, which NebuchadnezzarH5019 had brought forthH3318[H8689] out of JerusalemH3389, and had putH5414[H8799] them in the houseH1004 of his godsH430; |
[7]Also the king Cyrus brought forth the vessels of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of Jerusalem, and had put them in the house of his god. |
| [8]Even those did CyrusH3566 kingH4428 of PersiaH6539 bring forthH3318[H8686] by the handH3027 of MithredathH4990 the treasurerH1489, and numberedH5608[H8799] them unto SheshbazzarH8339, the princeH5387 of JudahH3063. |
[8]Even them did Cyrus king of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and counted them unto Sheshbazzar the prince of Judah. |

[9]And this is the number of them, thirty basins of gold, a thousand basins of silver, nine and twenty knives, |
| [10]ThirtyH7970 basonsH3713 of goldH2091, silverH3701 basonsH3713 of a secondH4932 sort fourH702 hundredH3967 and tenH6235, and otherH312 vesselsH3627 a thousandH505. |
[10]Thirty bowls of gold, and of silver bowls of the second sort, four hundred and ten, and of other vessels, a thousand. |
| [11]All the vesselsH3627 of goldH2091 and of silverH3701 were fiveH2568 thousandH505 and fourH702 hundredH3967. All these did SheshbazzarH8339 bring upH5927[H8689] with them of the captivityH1473 that were brought upH5927[H8736] from BabylonH894 unto JerusalemH3389. |
[11]All the vessels of gold and silver were five thousand and four hundred. Sheshbazzar brought up all with them of the captivity that came up from Babylon to Jerusalem. |
