| [1]ܗܵܢܵܘ ܣܦܲܪ ܬܵܘܠܕ݂ܵܬܹܗ ܕܐܵܕ݂ܵܡ. ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܕܲܒ݂ܪܵܐ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܠܐܵܕ݂ܵܡ: ܒܲܕ݂ܡܘܼܬܼ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܒܪܵܝܗܝ. |
[1]THIS is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God created he him; |
| [2]ܕܟܲܪ ܘܢܸܩܒ݂ܵܐ ܒܪܵܐ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ: ܘܒܲܪܸܟ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ: ܘܲܩܪܵܐ ܫܸܡܗܘܿܢ ܐܵܕܲܡ: ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܕܲܒ݂ܪܵܐ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ. |
[2]Male and female he created them; and God blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. |
| [3]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܐܵܕ݂ܵܡ ܡܵܐܐ ܘܲܬܼܠܵܬܼܝܼܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܒܕܲܡܼܘܼܬܹܗ ܐܲܝܟ ܨܲܠܡܹܗ: ܘܲܩܪܵܐ ܫܡܹܗ ܫܹܝܬܼ. |
[3]And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth; |
| [4]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܐܵܕ݂ܵܡ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܵܬܲܪ ܕܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܠܫܹܝܬܼ ܬܡܵܢܹܡܵܐܐ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܒܢܲܝܵ̈ܐ ܘܲܒ݂̈ܢܵܬܼܵܐ. |
[4]And Adam lived after he had begotten Seth eight hundred years; and he begot sons and daughters. |
| [5]ܘܲܗܘܵܘ ܟܠ ܝܵܘܡܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܐܵܕ݂ܵܡ ܕܲܚܝܵܐ: ܬܫܲܥܡܵܐܐ ܘܲܬܼܠܵܬܼܝܼܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ ܘܡܝܼܬܼ. |
[5]Thus all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died |
| [6]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܫܹܝܬܼ ܡܵܐܐ ܘܚܲܡܫܝܼܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܠܐܵܢܘܼܫ. |
[6]And Seth lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enosh; |
| [7]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܫܹܝܬܼ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܵܬܲܪ ܕܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܠܐܵܢܘܼܫ: ܬܡܵܢܹܡܵܐܐ ܘܲܫܒܲܥ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܒܢܲܝܵ̈ܐ ܘܲܒ݂̈ܢܵܬܼܵܐ. |
[7]And Seth lived after he begot Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters; |
| [8]ܘܲܗܘܵܘ ܟܠ ܝܵܘܡܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܫܹܝܬܼ ܬܫܲܥܡܵܐܐ ܘܬܲܪܬܲܥܸܣܪܹ̈ܐ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ ܘܡܝܼܬܼ. |
[8]And all the days of Seth were pine hundred and twelve years, and he died. |
| [9]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܐܵܢܘܼܫ ܬܸܫܥܝܼܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܠܩܲܝܢܵܢ. |
[9]And Enosh lived ninety years, and begot Cainan; |
| [10]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܐܵܢܘܼܫ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܵܬܲܪ ܕܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܠܩܲܝܢܵܢ: ܬܡܵܢܹܡܵܐܐ ܘܚܲܡܫܲܥܸܣܪܹ̈ܐ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܒܢܲܝܵ̈ܐ ܘܲܒ݂̈ܢܵܬܼܵܐ. |
[10]And Enosh lived after he begot Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters; |
| [11]ܘܲܗܘܵܘ ܟܠ ܝܵܘܡܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܐܵܢܘܼܫ ܬܫܲܥܡܵܐܐ ܘܚܲܡܸܫ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ ܘܡܝܼܬܼ. |
[11]And all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years, and he died. |
| [12]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܩܲܝܢܵܢ ܫܲܒ݂ܥܝܼܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܠܡܲܗܠܵܠܵܐܝܹܠ. |
[12]And Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Mahlalael; |
| [13]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܩܲܝܢܵܢ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܵܬܲܪ ܕܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܠܡܲܗܠܵܠܵܐܝܹܠ ܬܡܵܢܹܡܵܐܐ ܘܐܲܪܒܿܥܝܼܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܒܢܲܝܵ̈ܐ ܘܲܒ݂̈ܢܵܬܼܵܐ. |
[13]And Cainan lived after he begot Mahlalael eight hundred and forty years, and begot sons and daughters; |
| [14]ܘܲܗܘܵܘ ܟܠ ܝܵܘܡܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܩܲܝܢܵܢ ܬܫܲܥܡܵܐܐ ܘܲܥܣܲܪ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ ܘܡܝܼܬܼ. |
[14]And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died. |
| [15]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܡܲܗܠܵܠܵܐܝܹܠ ܫܬܿܝܼܢ ܘܚܲܡܸܫ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܠܝܲܪܕ. |
[15]And Mahlalael lived sixty and five years, and begot Jared; |
| [16]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܡܲܗܠܵܠܵܐܝܹܠ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܵܬܲܪ ܕܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܠܝܲܪܕ: ܬܡܵܢܹܡܵܐܐ ܘܲܬܼܠܵܬܼܝܼܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܒܢܲܝܵ̈ܐ ܘܲܒ݂̈ܢܵܬܼܵܐ. |
[16]And Mahlalael lived after he begot Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters. |
| [17]ܘܲܗܘܵܘ ܟܠ ܝܵܘܡܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܡܲܗܠܵܠܵܐܝܹܠ ܬܡܵܢܹܡܵܐܐ ܘܬܸܫܥܝܼܢ ܘܚܲܡܸܫ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ ܘܡܝܼܬܼ. |
[17]And all the days of Mahlalael were eight hundred ninety and five years, and he died. |
| [18]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܝܲܪܕ ܡܵܐܐ ܘܲܫܬܼܝܼܢ ܘܬܲܪܬܹܝܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܠܲܚܢܘܿܟ. |
[18]And Jared lived a hundred sixty and two years, and he begot Enoch: |
| [19]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܝܲܪܕ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܵܬܲܪ ܕܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܠܲܚܢܘܿܟ. ܬܡܵܢܹܡܵܐܐ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܒ̈ܢܲܝܵܐ ܘܲܒ݂̈ܢܵܬܼܵܐ. |
[19]And Jared lived after he begot Enoch eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters; |
| [20]ܘܲܗܘܵܘ ܟܠ ܝܵܘܡܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܝܲܪܕ ܬܫܲܥܡܵܐܐ ܘܲܫܬܼܝܼܢ ܘܬܲܪܬܹܝܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ ܘܡܝܼܬܼ. |
[20]And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years, and he died |
| [21]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܚܢܘܿܟ݂ ܫܬܿܝܼܢ ܘܚܲܡܸܫ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܠܡܲܬܿܘܼܫܠܵܚ. |
[21]And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begot Methuselah; |
| [22]ܘܲܫܦܲܪ ܚܢܘܿܟ ܠܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܵܬܲܪ ܕܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܠܡܲܬܿܘܼܫܠܵܚ: ܬܠܵܬܼ ܡܵܐܐ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܒ̈ܢܲܝܵܐ ܘܲܒ݂̈ܢܵܬܼܵܐ. |
[22]And Enoch found favor in the presence of God three hundred years after he begot Methuselah, and begot sons and daughters; |
| [23]ܘܲܗܘܵܘ ܟܠ ܝܵܘܡܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܲܚܢܘܿܟ ܬܠܵܬܼ ܡܵܐܐ ܘܲܫܬܼܝܼܢ ܘܚܲܡܸܫ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ. |
[23]And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty-five years; |
| [24]ܘܲܫܦܲܪ ܚܢܘܿܟ ܠܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܘܠܲܝܬܵܘܗܝ: ܡܸܛܠ ܕܢܲܣܒܹܗ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ. |
[24]And Enoch found favor in the presence of God, and disappeared; for God took him away |
| [25]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܡܲܬܿܘܼܫܠܵܚ ܡܵܐܐ ܘܲܬܼܡܵܢܐܝܼܢ ܘܲܫܒܲܥ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܠܠܲܡܲܟ. |
[25]And Methuselah lived a hundred eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech; |
| [26]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܡܲܬܿܘܼܫܠܵܚ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܵܬܲܪ ܕܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܠܠܲܡܲܟ: ܫܒܲܥܡܵܐܐ ܘܲܬܼܡܵܢܐܝܼܢ ܘܬܲܪܬܹܝܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܒ̈ܢܲܝܵܐ ܘܲܒ݂̈ܢܵܬܼܵܐ. |
[26]And Methuselah lived after he begot Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters; |
| [27]ܘܲܗܘܵܘ ܟܠ ܝܵܘܡܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܡܲܬܿܘܼܫܠܵܚ ܬܫܲܥܡܵܐܐ ܘܲܫܬܼܝܼܢ ܘܲܬܼܫܲܥ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ ܘܡܝܼܬܼ. |
[27]And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty-nine years, and he died |
| [28]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܠܲܡܟ ܡܵܐܐ ܘܲܬܼܡܵܢܐܝܼܢ ܘܬܲܪܬܹܝܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܒܪܵܐ. |
[28]And Lamech lived a hundred eighty-two years, and begot a son; |
| [29]ܘܲܩܪܵܐ ܫܡܹܗ ܢܘܿܚ: ܘܐܸܡܲܪ݂: ܗܵܢܵܐ ܢܒܲܝܐܲܢ ܡ̣ܢ ܥܒ݂ܵܕܲܝ̈ܢ ܘܡ̣ܢ ܥܲܡܠܵܐ ܕܐܝܼܕܲܝ̈ܢ: ܘܡ̣ܢ ܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܕܠܵܛܵܗ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ. |
[29]And he called his name Noah, saying, This one shall comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD has cursed. |
| [30]ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܠܲܡܟ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܵܬܲܪ ܕܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܠܢܘܿܚ ܚܲܡܸܫܡܵܐܐ ܘܬܸܫܥܝܼܢ ܘܚܲܡܸܫ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܒ̈ܢܲܝܵܐ ܘܲܒ݂̈ܢܵܬܼܵܐ. |
[30]And Lamech lived after he begot Noah five hundred ninety-five years, and begot sons and daughters. |
| [31]ܘܲܗܘܵܘ ܟܠ ܝܵܘܡܘ̈ܗܝ. ܕܠܲܡܟ ܫܒܲܥܡܵܐܐ ܘܫܲܒ݂ܥܝܼܢ ܘܲܫܒܲܥ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܡܝܼܬܼ. |
[31]Thus all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy-seven years, and he died. |
| [32]ܘܲܗ̤ܘܵܐ ܢܘܿܚ ܒܲܪ ܚܲܡܸܫܡܵܐܐ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ: ܘܐܵܘܠܸܕ݂ ܢܘܿܚ ܠܫܹܝܡ: ܘܲܠܚܵܡ: ܘܲܠܝܲܦ̮ܬܿ. |
[32]And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begot Shem, Ham, and Japheth |
