| [1]This is the book of generacioun of Adam, in the dai wher ynne God made man of nouyt. God made man to the ymage and licnesse of God; |
[1]זֶה סֵפֶר תֹּולְדֹת אָדָם בְּיֹום בְּרֹא אֱלֹהִים אָדָם בִּדְמוּת אֱלֹהִים עָשָׂה אֹתֹו׃ |
| [2]God formede hem male and female, and blesside hem, and clepide the name of hem Adam, in the day in which thei weren formed. |
[2]זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה בְּרָאָם וַיְבָרֶךְ אֹתָם וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שְׁםָם אָדָם בְּיֹום הִבָּרְאָם׃ |
| [3]Forsothe Adam lyuede an hundrid yeer and thretti, and gendride a sone to his ymage and liknesse, and clepide his name Seth. |
[3]וַיְחִי אָדָם שְׁלֹשִׁים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בִּדְמוּתֹו כְּצַלְמֹו וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שְׁמֹו שֵׁת׃ |
| [4]And the daies of Adam after that he gendride Seth weren maad eiyte hundrid yeer, and he gendride sones and douytris. |
[4]וַיִּהְיוּ יְמֵי־אָדָם אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־שֵׁת שְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |
| [5]And al the tyme in which Adam lyuede was maad nyne hundrid yeer and thretti, and he was deed. |
[5]וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי אָדָם אֲשֶׁר־חַי תְּשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וּשְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ |
| [6]Also Seth lyuede an hundrid and fyue yeer, and gendride Enos. |
[6]וַיְחִי־שֵׁת חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־אֱנֹושׁ׃ |
| [7]And Seth lyuede aftir that he gendride Enos eiyte hundrid and seuen yeer, and gendride sones and douytris. |
[7]וַיְחִי־שֵׁת אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־אֱנֹושׁ שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |
| [8]And alle the daies of Seth weren maad nyne hundrid and twelue yeer, and he was deed. |
[8]וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי־שֵׁת שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ |
| [9]Forsothe Enos lyuede nynti yeer, and gendride Caynan; |
[9]וַיְחִי אֱנֹושׁ תִּשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־קֵיןָן׃ |
| [10]aftir whos birthe Enos lyuede eiyte hundrid and fiftene yeer, and gendride sones and douytris. |
[10]וַיְחִי אֱנֹושׁ אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־קֵיןָן חֲמֵשׁ עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |
| [11]And alle the daies of Enos weren maad nyne hundrid and fyue yeer, and he was deed. |
[11]וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי אֱנֹושׁ חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ |
| [12]Also Caynan lyuyde seuenti yeer, and gendride Malalehel. |
[12]וַיְחִי קֵיןָן שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־מַהֲלַלְאֵל׃ |
| [13]And Caynan lyuede after that he gendride Malalehel eiyte hundrid and fourti yeer, and gendride sones and douytris. |
[13]וַיְחִי קֵיןָן אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־מַהֲלַלְאֵל אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |
| [14]And alle the dayes of Caynan weren maad nyn hundrid and ten yeer, and he was deed. |
[14]וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי קֵיןָן עֶשֶׂר שָׁנִים וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ |
| [15]Forsothe Malalehel lyuede sixti yeer and fyue, and gendride Jared. |
[15]וַיְחִי מַהֲלַלְאֵל חָמֵשׁ שָׁנִים וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־יָרֶד׃ |
| [16]And Malalehel lyuede aftir that he gendride Jared eiyte hundrid and thretti yeer, and gendride sones and douytris. |
[16]וַיְחִי מַהֲלַלְאֵל אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־יֶרֶד שְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |
| [17]And alle the daies of Malalehel weren maad eiyte hundrid nynti and fyue yeer, and he was deed. |
[17]וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי מַהֲלַלְאֵל חָמֵשׁ וְתִשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ |
| [18]And Jared lyuede an hundrid and two and sixti yeer, and gendride Enoth. |
[18]וַיְחִי־יֶרֶד שְׁתַּיִם וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־חֲנֹוךְ׃ |
| [19]And Jared lyuede aftir that he gendride Enoth eiyte hundrid yeer, and gendride sones and douytris. |
[19]וַיְחִי־יֶרֶד אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־חֲנֹוךְ שְׁמֹנֶה מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |
| [20]And alle the dayes of Jared weren maad nyn hundrid and twei and sexti yeer, and he was deed. |
[20]וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי־יֶרֶד שְׁתַּיִם וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ |
| [21]Forsothe Enoth lyuede fyue and sixti yeer, and gendride Matusalem. |
[21]וַיְחִי חֲנֹוךְ חָמֵשׁ וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־מְתוּשָׁלַח׃ |
| [22]And Enoth yede with God; and Enoth lyuede after that he gendride Matusalem thre hundrid yeer, and gendride sones and douytris. |
[22]וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְ חֲנֹוךְ אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־מְתוּשֶׁלַח שְׁלֹשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |
| [23]And alle the daies of Enoth weren maad thre hundride and fyue and sexti yeer. |
[23]וַיְהִי כָּל־יְמֵי חֲנֹוךְ חָמֵשׁ וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּשְׁלֹשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה׃ |
| [24]And Enoth yeed with God, and apperide not afterward, for God took hym awei. |
[24]וַיִּתְהַלֵּךְ חֲנֹוךְ אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים וְאֵינֶנּוּ כִּי־לָקַח אֹתֹו אֱלֹהִים׃ |
| [25]Also Matusalem lyuede an hundrid and `fourscoor yeer and seuene, and gendride Lameth. |
[25]וַיְחִי מְתוּשֶׁלַח שֶׁבַע וּשְׁמֹנִים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־לָמֶךְ׃ |
| [26]And Matusalem lyuede after that he gendride Lameth seuene hundrid and `fourscoor yeer and twei, and gendride sones and douytris. |
[26]וַיְחִי מְתוּשֶׁלַח אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־לֶמֶךְ שְׁתַּיִם וּשְׁמֹונִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁבַע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |
| [27]And alle the daies of Matusale weren maad nyn hundrid and nyn and sixti yeer, and he was deed. |
[27]וַיִּהְיוּ כָּל־יְמֵי מְתוּשֶׁלַח תֵּשַׁע וְשִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה וּתְשַׁע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ |
| [28]Forsothe Lameth lyuede an hundrid and `fourscoor yeer and two, and gendride a sone; |
[28]וַיְחִי־לֶמֶךְ שְׁתַּיִם וּשְׁמֹנִים שָׁנָה וּמְאַת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בֵּן׃ |
| [29]and clepide his name Noe, and seide, This man schal comforte vs of the werkis and traueilis of oure hondis, in the loond which the Lord curside. |
[29]וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שְׁמֹו נֹחַ לֵאמֹר זֶה יְנַחֲמֵנוּ מִמַּעֲשֵׂנוּ וּמֵעִצְּבֹון יָדֵינוּ מִן־הָאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר אֵרְרָהּ יְהוָה׃ |
| [30]And Lameth lyuede after that he gendride Noe fyue hundrid `nynti and fyue yeer, and gendride sones and douytris. |
[30]וַיְחִי־לֶמֶךְ אַחֲרֵי הֹולִידֹו אֶת־נֹחַ חָמֵשׁ וְתִשְׁעִים שָׁנָה וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹת שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |
| [31]And alle the daies of Lameth weren maad seuene hundrid `thre scoor and seuentene yeer, and he was deed. |
[31]וַיְהִי כָּל־יְמֵי־לֶמֶךְ שֶׁבַע וְשִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וּשְׁבַע מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיָּמֹת׃ |
| [32]וַיְהִי־נֹחַ בֶּן־חֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹות שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד נֹחַ אֶת־שֵׁם אֶת־חָם וְאֶת־יָפֶת׃ |
