[1]This is the book of generacioun of Adam, in the dai wher ynne God made man of nouyt. God made man to the ymage and licnesse of God; [1]This is the booke of the generations of Ada. In the day that God created man, in the lykenesse of God made he hym
[2]God formede hem male and female, and blesside hem, and clepide the name of hem Adam, in the day in which thei weren formed. [2]Male and female created he them, and blessed them, and called their name Adam in the daye of their creation
[3]Forsothe Adam lyuede an hundrid yeer and thretti, and gendride a sone to his ymage and liknesse, and clepide his name Seth. [3]And Adam lyued an hundreth and thirtie yeres, and begate a sonne in his owne lykenesse, after his image, & called his name Seth
[4]And the daies of Adam after that he gendride Seth weren maad eiyte hundrid yeer, and he gendride sones and douytris. [4]Al the dayes of Adam after he had begotten Seth, were eyght hudreth yeres, and he begat sonnes and daughters
[5]And al the tyme in which Adam lyuede was maad nyne hundrid yeer and thretti, and he was deed. [5]And all the dayes that Adam lyued were nine hundreth and thirtie yeres, and he dyed

[21]Forsothe Enoth lyuede fyue and sixti yeer, and gendride Matusalem. [21]Henoch lyued sixtie and fiue yeres, & begate Methuselah
[22]And Enoth yede with God; and Enoth lyuede after that he gendride Matusalem thre hundrid yeer, and gendride sones and douytris. [22]And Henoch walked with God after he begate Methuselah three hundreth yeres, and begate sonnes & daughters
[23]And alle the daies of Enoth weren maad thre hundride and fyue and sexti yeer. [23]And al ye dayes of Henoch were three hundreth sixtie and fiue yeres
[24]And Enoth yeed with God, and apperide not afterward, for God took hym awei. [24]And Henoch walked with God: and he was no more seene, for God toke him away
[25]Also Matusalem lyuede an hundrid and `fourscoor yeer and seuene, and gendride Lameth. [25]Methuselah also lyued an hundreth eyghtie and seue yeres, and begate Lamech
[26]And Matusalem lyuede after that he gendride Lameth seuene hundrid and `fourscoor yeer and twei, and gendride sones and douytris. [26]And agayne Methusalah lyued after he begat Lamech seue hundreth eightie and two yeres, and begate sonnes and daughters
[27]And alle the daies of Matusale weren maad nyn hundrid and nyn and sixti yeer, and he was deed. [27]And all the dayes of Methuselah were nine hundreth sixtie & nine yeres, and he dyed
[28]Forsothe Lameth lyuede an hundrid and `fourscoor yeer and two, and gendride a sone; [28]Lamech liued an hundreth eyghtie & two yeres, and begate a sonne
[29]and clepide his name Noe, and seide, This man schal comforte vs of the werkis and traueilis of oure hondis, in the loond which the Lord curside. [29]And called his name Noah, saying: This same shall comfort vs as concerning our worke, & sorowe of our handes about the earth, which God cursed
[30]And Lameth lyuede after that he gendride Noe fyue hundrid `nynti and fyue yeer, and gendride sones and douytris. [30]And Lamech lyued after he begat Noah, fiue hudreth ninetie & fiue yeres, and begate sonnes and daughters
[31]And alle the daies of Lameth weren maad seuene hundrid `thre scoor and seuentene yeer, and he was deed. [31]And all the dayes of Lamech were seuen hundreth seuentie and seue yeres, and he dyed
[32]Noah was fiue hundreth yere olde, & Noah begate Sem, Ham, & Iapheth
