[1]And it was don in that yeer, in the bigynnyng of the rewme of Sedechie, kyng of Juda, in the fourthe yeer, in the fyuethe monethe, Ananye, the sone of Azur, a profete of Gabaon, seide to me in the hous of the Lord, bifor the preestis, and al the puple, [1]And it came to pass the same yearH8141, in the beginningH7225 of the reignH4467 of ZedekiahH6667 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, in the fourthH7243 yearH8141, and in the fifthH2549 monthH2320, that HananiahH2608 the sonH1121 of AzurH5809 the prophetH5030, which was of GibeonH1391, spakeH559[H8804] unto me in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, in the presenceH5869 of the priestsH3548 and of all the peopleH5971, sayingH559,[H8800]
[2]`and seide, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Y haue al to-broke the yok of the kyng of Babiloyne. [2]Thus speakethH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559[H8800], I have brokenH7665[H8804] the yokeH5923 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH894.
[3]Yit twei yeeris of daies ben, and Y schal make to be brouyt ayen to this place alle the vessels of the Lord, whiche Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, took fro this place, and translatide tho in to Babiloyne. [3]Within two fullH3117 yearsH8141 will I bring againH7725[H8688] into this placeH4725 all the vesselsH3627 of the LORD'SH3068 houseH1004, that NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894 took awayH3947[H8804] from this placeH4725, and carriedH935[H8686] them to BabylonH894:
[4]And Y schal turne to this place, seith the Lord, Jeconye, the sone of Joachym, the kyng of Juda, and al the passyng ouer of Juda, that entriden in to Babiloyne; for Y schal al to-breke the yok of the kyng of Babiloyne. [4]And I will bring againH7725[H8688] to this placeH4725 JeconiahH3204 the sonH1121 of JehoiakimH3079 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, with all the captivesH1546 of JudahH3063, that wentH935[H8802] into BabylonH894, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068: for I will breakH7665[H8799] the yokeH5923 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH894.
[5]And Jeremye, the profete, seide to Ananye, the profete, bifore the iyen of preestis, and bifore the iyen of al the puple that stoden in the hous of the Lord. [5]Then the prophetH5030 JeremiahH3414 saidH559[H8799] unto the prophetH5030 HananiahH2608 in the presenceH5869 of the priestsH3548, and in the presenceH5869 of all the peopleH5971 that stoodH5975[H8802] in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068,
[6]And Jeremye, the profete, seide to Ananye, Amen! so do the Lord; the Lord reise thi wordis whiche thou profesiedist, that the vessels be brouyt ayen in to the hous of the Lord, and al the passyng ouer fro Babiloyne, to this place. [6]Even the prophetH5030 JeremiahH3414 saidH559[H8799], AmenH543: the LORDH3068 doH6213[H8799] so: the LORDH3068 performH6965[H8686] thy wordsH1697 which thou hast prophesiedH5012[H8738], to bring againH7725[H8687] the vesselsH3627 of the LORD'SH3068 houseH1004, and all that is carried away captiveH1473, from BabylonH894 into this placeH4725.
[7]Netheles here thou this word, which Y speke in thin eeris, and in the eeris of al the puple. [7]Nevertheless hearH8085[H8798] thou now this wordH1697 that I speakH1696[H8802] in thine earsH241, and in the earsH241 of all the peopleH5971;
[8]Profetis that weren bifore me, and bifor thee, fro the bigynnyng, and profesieden on many londis, and on many rewmes, of batel, and of turment, and of hungur. [8]The prophetsH5030 that have been beforeH6440 me and beforeH6440 thee of oldH5769 prophesiedH5012[H8735] both against manyH7227 countriesH776, and against greatH1419 kingdomsH4467, of warH4421, and of evilH7451, and of pestilenceH1698.
[9]The profete that profesiede pees, whanne his word cometh, shal be knowun the profete whom the Lord sente in treuthe. [9]The prophetH5030 which prophesiethH5012[H8735] of peaceH7965, when the wordH1697 of the prophetH5030 shall come to passH935[H8800], thenH227 shall the prophetH5030 be knownH3045[H8735], that the LORDH3068 hath trulyH571 sentH7971 himH8804.
[10]And Ananye, the profete, took the chayne fro the necke of Jeremye, the profete, and brak it. [10]Then HananiahH2608 the prophetH5030 tookH3947[H8799] the yokeH4133 from off the prophetH5030 Jeremiah'sH3414 neckH6677, and brakeH7665 itH8799.
[11]And Ananye, the profete, seide in the siyt of al the puple, `and seide, The Lord seith these thingis, So Y schal breke the yok of Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, aftir twei yeeris of daies, fro the necke of alle folkis. [11]And HananiahH2608 spakeH559[H8799] in the presenceH5869 of all the peopleH5971, sayingH559[H8800], Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068; Even so will I breakH7665[H8799] the yokeH5923 of NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894 from the neckH6677 of all nationsH1471 within the space of two fullH3117 yearsH8141. And the prophetH5030 JeremiahH3414 wentH3212[H8799] his wayH1870.
[12]And Jeremye, the profete, yede in to his weie. And the word of the Lord was maad to Jeremye, aftir that Ananye, the profete, brak the chayne fro the necke of Jeremye; and the Lord seide, [12]Then the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came unto JeremiahH3414 the prophet, afterH310 that HananiahH2608 the prophetH5030 had brokenH7665[H8800] the yokeH4133 from off the neckH6677 of the prophetH5030 JeremiahH3414, sayingH559,[H8800]
[13]Go thou, and seie to Ananye, The Lord seith these thingis, Thou hast al to-broke the chaynes of tre, and thou schalt make yrun chaynes for tho. [13]GoH1980[H8800] and tellH559[H8804] HananiahH2608, sayingH559[H8800], Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068; Thou hast brokenH7665[H8804] the yokesH4133 of woodH6086; but thou shalt makeH6213[H8804] for them yokesH4133 of ironH1270.
[14]For the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Y haue set an yrun yok on the necke of alle these folkis, that thei serue Nabugodonosor, the king of Babiloyne, and thei schulen serue hym; ferthermore and Y yaf to hym the beestis of erthe. [14]For thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478; I have putH5414[H8804] a yokeH5923 of ironH1270 upon the neckH6677 of all these nationsH1471, that they may serveH5647[H8800] NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894; and they shall serveH5647[H8804] him: and I have givenH5414[H8804] him the beastsH2416 of the field alsoH7704.
[15]And Jeremye, the profete, seide to Ananye, the profete, Ananye, here thou; the Lord sente not thee, and thou madist this puple for to triste in a leesyng. [15]Then saidH559[H8799] the prophetH5030 JeremiahH3414 unto HananiahH2608 the prophetH5030, HearH8085[H8798] now, HananiahH2608; The LORDH3068 hath not sentH7971[H8804] thee; but thou makest this peopleH5971 to trustH982[H8689] in a lieH8267.
[16]Therfor the Lord seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal sende thee out fro the face of erthe; in this yeer thou schalt die, for thou spakest ayens the Lord. [16]Therefore thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068; Behold, I will castH7971[H8764] thee from off the faceH6440 of the earthH127: this yearH8141 thou shalt dieH4191[H8801], because thou hast taughtH1696[H8765] rebellionH5627 against the LORDH3068.
[17]And Ananye, the profete, diede in that yeer, in the seuenthe monethe. [17]So HananiahH2608 the prophetH5030 diedH4191[H8799] the same yearH8141 in the seventhH7637 monthH2320.
