| [3]and `to Cananei fro the eest and west, and to Ammorrey, and Ethei, and Feresei, and Jebusei, in the `hilli places, and to Euey, that dwellide at the rootis of Hermon, in the lond of Maspha. |
[3]And to the CanaaniteH3669 on the eastH4217 and on the westH3220, and to the AmoriteH567, and the HittiteH2850, and the PerizziteH6522, and the JebusiteH2983 in the mountainsH2022, and to the HiviteH2340 under HermonH2768 in the landH776 of MizpehH4709. |
| [4]And alle yeden out with her cumpanyes, a ful myche puple, as the grauel which is in the `brynk of the see, and horsis, and charis, of greet multitude. |

| [9]and he dide as the Lord comaundide to hym; he hoxide `the horsis of hem, and brente the charis. |

| [10]And he turnede ayen anoon, and took Asor, and `smoot bi swerd the kyng therof; for Asor helde bi eld tyme the prinsehed among alle these rewmes. |

| [11]And `he smoot alle persoones that dwelliden there, he lefte not ony relikys therynne, but he wastide alle thingis `til to deeth; also he distriede thilke citee bi brennyng. |
[11]And they smoteH5221[H8686] all the soulsH5315 that were therein with the edgeH6310 of the swordH2719, utterly destroyingH2763[H8687] them: there was not any leftH3498[H8738] to breatheH5397: and he burntH8313[H8804] HazorH2674 with fireH784. |
| [12]And he took alle `citees bi cumpas, and `the kyngis of hem, and smoot, and dide awei, as Moises, the `seruaunt of the Lord, |
[12]And all the citiesH5892 of those kingsH4428, and all the kingsH4428 of them, did JoshuaH3091 takeH3920[H8804], and smoteH5221[H8686] them with the edgeH6310 of the swordH2719, and he utterly destroyedH2763[H8689] them, as MosesH4872 the servantH5650 of the LORDH3068 commandedH6680.[H8765] |
| [13]comaundide to hym, without citees that weren set in the grete hillis, and in litle hillis; and Israel brente the othere citees; flawme wastide oneli o citee, Asor, the strongeste. |

| [16]And so Josue took al the `lond of the hillis, and of the south, the lond of Gosen, and the pleyn, and the west coost, and the hil of Israel, and the feeldi places therof; |
[16]So JoshuaH3091 tookH3947[H8799] all that landH776, the hillsH2022, and all the south countryH5045, and all the landH776 of GoshenH1657, and the valleyH8219, and the plainH6160, and the mountainH2022 of IsraelH3478, and the valley of the sameH8219; |
| [17]and the part of the hil that stieth to Seir `til to Baalgath, bi the pleyn of Liban vndur the hil of Hermon; Josue took, and smoot, and killide alle the kyngis of tho places. |
[17]Even from the mountH2022 HalakH2510, that goeth upH5927[H8802] to SeirH8165, even unto BaalgadH1171 in the valleyH1237 of LebanonH3844 under mountH2022 HermonH2768: and all their kingsH4428 he tookH3920[H8804], and smoteH5221[H8686] them, and slewH4191 themH8686. |
| [18]Josue fauyt myche tyme ayens these kyngis; |
[18]JoshuaH3091 madeH6213[H8804] warH4421 a longH7227 timeH3117 with all those kingsH4428. |
| [19]`no citee was, which bitook not it silf to the sones of Israel, out takun Euey that dwellide in Gabaon; he took alle bi batel. |
[19]There was not a cityH5892 that made peaceH7999[H8689] with the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, save the HivitesH2340 the inhabitantsH3427[H8802] of GibeonH1391: all other they tookH3947[H8804] in battleH4421. |
| [20]For it was the sentence of the Lord, that `the hertis of hem schulde be maad hard, and that thei schulden fiyte ayens Israel, and schulden falle, and schulden not disserue ony mercy, and schulden perische, as the Lord comaundide to Moises. |

| [21]Josue cam in that tyme, and killide Enachym, that is, giauntis, fro the `hilli placis of Ebron, and of Dabir, and of Anab, and fro al the hil of Juda, and of Israel, and dide awei `the citees of hem. |

| [22]He lefte not ony man of the generacioun of Enachim in the lond of the sones of Israel, without the citees of Gasa, and Geth, and Azotus, in whiche aloone thei weren left. |
[22]There was none of the AnakimsH6062 leftH3498[H8738] in the landH776 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478: only in GazaH5804, in GathH1661, and in AshdodH795, there remainedH7604.[H8738] |
| [23]Therfor Josue took al the lond, as the Lord spak to Moyses, and he yaf it in to possessioun to the sones of Israel, bi her partis and lynagis; and the lond restide fro batels. |
[23]So JoshuaH3091 tookH3947[H8799] the whole landH776, according to all that the LORDH3068 saidH1696[H8765] unto MosesH4872; and JoshuaH3091 gaveH5414[H8799] it for an inheritanceH5159 unto IsraelH3478 according to their divisionsH4256 by their tribesH7626.
