[1]ܚܸܙܘܵܐ ܕܦܸܬ̣ܓ̣ܵܡܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܥܲܠ ܝܑܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ ܒܝܲܕ݂ ܡܲܠܲܐܟ݂ܝܼ. [1]The burthen of the word of the Lorde to Israel, by the ministerie of Malachi
[2]ܪܚܸܡ̇ܬ̇ܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ: ܘܐܵܡ̇ܪܝܼܢ ܐ̄ܢܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܒܡܵܢܵܐ ܪܚܸܡ̣ܬܵܢ: ܕܲܠܡܵܐ ܥܹܣܘܿ ܠܵܐ ܗܘ̤ܵܐ ܐܲܚܘܼܗܝ ܕܝܲܥܩܘܿܒ̣ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ: ܕܪܸܚܡܹ̇ܬ̣ ܠܝܲܥܩܘܿܒ̣: ܘܲܠܥܹܣܘܿ ܣܢܹ̇ܝܬ̣. [2]I haue loued you saith the Lord: yet ye say, wherein hast thou loued vs? Was not Esau Iacobs brother, saith the Lorde, yet loued I Iacob
[3]ܥܸܒ̣ܕܹ̇ܬ̣ ܛܘܼܪ̈ܵܘܗܝ ܠܲܚܒ̣ܵܠܵܐ: ܘܝܵܪܬ̇ܘܼܬܹܗ ܠܕܲܝܪܹ̈ܐ ܕܡܲܕ݂ܒ̇ܪܵܐ. [3]And I hated Esau, & made his mountaynes waste, and his heritage a wildernesse for Dragons
[4]ܘܐܸܢ ܢܹܐܡܪܘܼܢ ܐܲܕ݂ܘܿܡܵܝܹ̈ܐ ܐܸܬ̣ܡܲܣܟܲܢ̄ܢ: ܢܸܗܦܘܿܟ݂ ܢܸܒ̣ܢܸܐ ܚܲܪ̈ܒ̣ܵܬ̣ܵܐ: ܗܵܟܲܢܵܐ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ: ܗܸܢ̣ܘܿܢ ܢܸܒ̣ܢܘܿܢ ܘܐܸܢܵܐ ܐܸܣܚܘܿܦ: ܘܢܸܩܪܘܿܢ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܬܚܘܼܡܵܐ ܕܲܚܛܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ: ܘܥܲܡܵܐ ܕܲܪܓܸܙ ܥܠܵܘܗܝ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܠܥܵܠܲܡ. [4]Though Edom say, We are impouerished, but we wil returne and builde the desolate places: yet saith the Lorde of hoastes, They shal builde, but I wil destroy: & they shal cal them, The border of wickednes, & the people with whom the Lorde is angry for euer
[5]ܘܥܲܝܢܲܝ̈ܟ̇ܘܿܢ ܢܸܚܙ̈ܝܵܢ: ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܕܹܝܢ ܬܹܐܡܪܘܼܢ: ܢܹܐܪܲܒ̣ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܠܥܸܠ ܡ̣ܢ ܬܚܘܼܡܵܐ ܕܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ. [5]And your eyes shall see: and you shal say, The Lorde wylbe magnified vpon the borders of Israel
[6]ܒܪܵܐ ܡܝܲܩܲܪ ܠܐܲܒ̣ܘܼܗܝ ܘܥܲܒ̣ܕܵܐ ܠܡܵܪܹܗ: ܐܸܢ ܐܲܒ̣ܵܐ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܐܲܝܟܵܘ ܕܲܡܝܲܩܪܝܼܢ ܐ̄ܢܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܠܝܼ: ܘܐܸܢ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܐܲܝܟܵܐ ܗ̄ܘܼ ܕܕ݂ܵܚ̇ܠܝܼܢ ܐ̄ܢܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܡܹܢܝ: ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ: ܠܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܟܵܗ̈ܢܹܐ ܕܒ̣ܵܙ̇ܝܼܢ ܐ̄ܢܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܫܹܡܝ: ܘܐܸܢ ܐܵܡ̇ܪܝܼܢ ܐ̄ܢܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܒܡܵܢܵܐ ܐܲܒܸ̇ܙܢ ܫܡܵܟ݂. [6]A sonne honoureth his father, and a seruaunt his maister: If then I be a father, where is myne honour? if I be a maister, where is my feare? Saith the Lorde God of hoastes to you O ye pristes that despise my name, and ye say, Wherein haue we despised thy name
[7]ܥܲܠ ܕܲܡܩܲܪܒ̣ܝܼܢ ܐ̄ܢܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܥܲܠ ܡܲܕ݂ܒܲܚܝ ܠܲܚܡܵܐ ܛܲܢܦܵܐ: ܘܐܸܢ ܐܵܡ̇ܪܝܼܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܒܡܵܢܵܐ ܛܲܢܸܦܢܵܟ݂: ܒܕ݂ܵܐܡ̇ܪܝܼܢ ܐ̄ܢܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܕܫܝܼܛ ܗ̄ܘܼ ܦܵܬ̣ܘܿܪܹܗ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ. [7]Ye offer vpon myne aulter vncleane bread, and say, Wherein haue we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the Lorde is not to be regarded
[8]ܘܕܲܡܩܲܪܒ̣ܝܼܢ ܐ̄ܢܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܥܘܝܼܪܵܐ ܠܡܲܕ݂ܒ̇ܚܵܐ ܕܲܠܡܵܐ ܠܵܐ ܒܝܼܫ: ܘܕܲܡܩܲܪܒ̣ܝܼܢ ܐ̄ܢܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܚܓ̣ܝܼܪܵܐ ܘܲܟ݂ܪܝܼܗܵܐ: ܕܲܠܡܵܐ ܠܵܐ ܒܝܼܫ: ܩܲܪܸܒܲܝܗܝ ܢܹܐ ܠܫܲܠܝܼܛܵܟ݂: ܕܲܠܡܵܐ ܪܵܥܹ̇ܐ ܠܵܟ݂: ܐܵܘ ܢܵܣܹ̇ܒ̣ ܒܐܲܦܲܝ̈ܟ: ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ. [8]When ye bring the blinde for sacrifice, [you say] it is not euil: and when ye bring the lame and sicke, [you say] it is not euil: offer it nowe to thy prince, wyll he be content with thee, or accept thy person, saith the Lorde of hoastes
[9]ܡܸܟܹ̇ܝܠ ܨܲܠܵܘ ܩܕ݂ܵܡ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܘܲܢܪܲܚܸܡ ܥܠܲܝܢ: ܕܒ̣ܐܝܼܕܲܝ̈ܟ̇ܘܿܢ ܗܘ̤ܵܬ̣ ܗܵܕܹܐ: ܠܵܐ ܐܸܣܲܒ̣ ܒܐܲܦܲܝ̈ܟ̇ܘܿܢ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ. [9]And now I pray you, pray before God, that he may haue mercie vpon vs: (this [euill] hath ben done by your meanes) wyll he regarde your persons, saith the Lorde of hoastes
[10]ܡܲܢ̣ܘܼ ܐܝܼܬ̣ ܒܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܕܢܹܐܚܘܿܕ݂ ܬܲܪܥܝܼ: ܘܠܵܐ ܬܩܲܪܒ̣ܘܼܢ ܥܲܠ ܡܲܕ݂ܒܲܚܝ ܕܡܲܓܵܢ: ܠܵܐ ܨܵܒܹ̇ܐ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܒܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ: ܘܩܘܼܪܒܵܢܵܐ ܠܵܐ ܐܹܩܲܒܸ̇ܠ ܡܸܢܟ݂ܘܿܢ. [10]Who is there euen among you that would shutte the doores, and kindle not fire on myne aulter in vaine? I haue no pleasure in you, saith the Lorde of hoastes, neither wyll I accept an offering at your hande
[11]ܡܸܛܠ ܕܡ̣ܢ ܡܲܕ݂ܢܵܚܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܫܸܡܫܵܐ ܘܲܥܕܲܡܵܐ ܠܡܲܥܪ̈ܵܒ̣ܘܼܗܝ: ܪܲܒ̇ ܗ̄ܘܼ ܫܹܡܝ ܒܥܲܡܡܹ̈ܐ: ܘܲܒ̣ܟ݂ܠ ܐܲܬܲܪ ܣܵܝ̇ܡܝܼܢ ܒܸܣܡܹ̈ܐ: ܘܲܡܩܲܪܒ̣ܝܼܢ ܠܫܹܡܝ ܩܘܼܪ̈ܒܵܢܹܐ ܕܟܲـ̈ـܝܵܐ: ܡܸܛܠ ܕܪܲܒ̇ ܗ̄ܘܼ ܫܹܡܝ ܒܥܲܡܡܹ̈ܐ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ. [11]From the rysing of the sunne vnto the going downe of the same my name is great among the gentiles, and in euery place incense shalbe offred to my name, & a pure offering: for my name is great among the very heathen, saith the Lord of hoastes
[12]ܘܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܡܛܲܢܦܝܼܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܠܹܗ: ܒܕ݂ܵܐܡ̇ܪܝܼܢ ܐ̄ܢܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܕܦܵܬ̣ܘܿܪܹܗ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܡܛܲܢܲܦ ܗ̄ܘܼ: ܘܫܝܼ̈ܛܵܢ ܐܸܢܹܝܢ ܡܹܐܟ݂̈ܠܵܬܹܗ. [12]But ye haue polluted it, in that ye say, The table of the Lord is polluted, & the fruite thereof, [euen] his meate is not to be regarded
[13]ܘܐܵܡ̇ܪܝܼܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܗܵܢܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܕܵܘܘܿܢܲܢ ܗ̄ܘܼ: ܘܢܸܦܚܹ̇ܬ̣ ܒܹܗ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ: ܕܡܲܝܬܹ̇ܝܢ ܐ̄ܢܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܡ̣ܢ ܚܛܘܼܦܝܵܐ ܩܘܼܪ̈ܒܵܢܹܐ ܚܓܝܼܪܹ̈ܐ ܘܲܟ݂ܪ̈ܝܼܗܹܐ: ܠܵܐ ܡܩܲܒܸ̇ܠ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܠܗܘܿܢ ܡ̣ܢ ܐܝܼܕܲܝ̈ܟ̇ܘܿܢ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ. [13]And ye saide, beholde [it is] a weerynesse, and you haue snuffed at it saith the Lorde of hoastes, and ye haue offered the stolne, and the lame, and the sicke, ye haue offered an offering: shoulde I accept this of your handes, saith the lorde
[14]ܘܠܝܼܛ ܗ̄ܘܼ ܡܲܢ ܕܐܝܼܬ̣ ܠܹܗ ܒܲܓ̣ܙܵܪܹܗ ܕܸܟ݂ܪܵܐ: ܘܢܵܕܲܪ ܘܲܡܕܲܒܲܚ ܕܲܟ݂ܪܝܼܗ ܠܡܵܪܝܵܐ: ܡܸܛܠ ܕܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܪܲܒܵܐ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ: ܘܫܹܡܝ ܕܚܝܼܠ ܒܥܲܡܡܹ̈ܐ. [14]Cursed be the deceitfull which hath in his flocke a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth a corrupt thing to the Lorde: because I am a great king, saith the lord of hoastes, and my name is fearefull among the heathen
