| [1]ὀψὲ δὲ σαββάτων, τῇ ἐπιφωσκούσῃ εἰς μίαν σαββάτων, ἦλθεν μαριὰμ ἡ μαγδαληνὴ καὶ ἡ ἄλλη μαρία θεωρῆσαι τὸν τάφον. |
[1]Now in the end of the Sabbath, when the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary came to see the sepulcher, |
| [2]καὶ ἰδοὺ σεισμὸς ἐγένετο μέγας· ἄγγελος γὰρ κυρίου καταβὰς ἐξ οὐρανοῦ καὶ προσελθὼν ἀπεκύλισεν τὸν λίθον καὶ ἐκάθητο ἐπάνω αὐτοῦ. |
[2]And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the Angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. |
| [3]ἦν δὲ ἡ εἰδέα αὐτοῦ ὡς ἀστραπὴ καὶ τὸ ἔνδυμα αὐτοῦ λευκὸν ὡς χιών. |
[3]And his countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow. |
| [4]ἀπὸ δὲ τοῦ φόβου αὐτοῦ ἐσείσθησαν οἱ τηροῦντες καὶ ἐγενήθησαν ὡς νεκροί. |
[4]And for fear of him, the keepers were astonished, and became as dead men. |
| [5]ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ ἄγγελος εἶπεν ταῖς γυναιξίν, μὴ φοβεῖσθε ὑμεῖς, οἶδα γὰρ ὅτι ἰησοῦν τὸν ἐσταυρωμένον ζητεῖτε· |
[5]But the Angel answered, and said to the women, Fear ye not: for I know that ye seek Jesus which was crucified: |
| [6]οὐκ ἔστιν ὧδε, ἠγέρθη γὰρ καθὼς εἶπεν· δεῦτε ἴδετε τὸν τόπον ὅπου ἔκειτο. |
[6]He is not here, for he is risen; as he said: come, see the place where the Lord was laid, |
| [7]καὶ ταχὺ πορευθεῖσαι εἴπατε τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἠγέρθη ἀπὸ τῶν νεκρῶν, καὶ ἰδοὺ προάγει ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν γαλιλαίαν, ἐκεῖ αὐτὸν ὄψεσθε· ἰδοὺ εἶπον ὑμῖν. |
[7]And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead: and behold, he goeth before you into Galilee: there ye shall see him: lo, I have told you. |
| [8]καὶ ἀπελθοῦσαι ταχὺ ἀπὸ τοῦ μνημείου μετὰ φόβου καὶ χαρᾶς μεγάλης ἔδραμον ἀπαγγεῖλαι τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ. |
[8]So they departed quickly from the sepulcher, with fear and great joy, and did run to bring his disciples word. |
| [9]καὶ ἰδοὺ ἰησοῦς ὑπήντησεν αὐταῖς λέγων, χαίρετε. αἱ δὲ προσελθοῦσαι ἐκράτησαν αὐτοῦ τοὺς πόδας καὶ προσεκύνησαν αὐτῶ. |
[9]And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus also met them, saying, God save you. And they came, and took him by the feet, and worshipped him. |
| [10]τότε λέγει αὐταῖς ὁ ἰησοῦς, μὴ φοβεῖσθε· ὑπάγετε ἀπαγγείλατε τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς μου ἵνα ἀπέλθωσιν εἰς τὴν γαλιλαίαν, κἀκεῖ με ὄψονται. |
[10]Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid. Go, and tell my brethren, that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me. |
| [11]πορευομένων δὲ αὐτῶν ἰδού τινες τῆς κουστωδίας ἐλθόντες εἰς τὴν πόλιν ἀπήγγειλαν τοῖς ἀρχιερεῦσιν ἅπαντα τὰ γενόμενα. |
[11]Now when they were gone, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and showed unto the high Priests all the things that were done. |
| [12]καὶ συναχθέντες μετὰ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων συμβούλιόν τε λαβόντες ἀργύρια ἱκανὰ ἔδωκαν τοῖς στρατιώταις |
[12]And they gathered them together with the Elders, and took counsel, and gave large money unto the soldiers, |
| [13]λέγοντες, εἴπατε ὅτι οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ νυκτὸς ἐλθόντες ἔκλεψαν αὐτὸν ἡμῶν κοιμωμένων. |
[13]Saying, Say, His disciples came by night and stole him away while we slept. |
| [14]καὶ ἐὰν ἀκουσθῇ τοῦτο ἐπὶ τοῦ ἡγεμόνος, ἡμεῖς πείσομεν [αὐτὸν] καὶ ὑμᾶς ἀμερίμνους ποιήσομεν. |
[14]And if the governor hear of this, we will persuade him, and save you harmless. |
| [15]οἱ δὲ λαβόντες τὰ ἀργύρια ἐποίησαν ὡς ἐδιδάχθησαν. καὶ διεφημίσθη ὁ λόγος οὖτος παρὰ ἰουδαίοις μέχρι τῆς σήμερον [ἡμέρας]. |
[15]So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is noised among the Jews unto this day. |
| [16]οἱ δὲ ἕνδεκα μαθηταὶ ἐπορεύθησαν εἰς τὴν γαλιλαίαν εἰς τὸ ὄρος οὖ ἐτάξατο αὐτοῖς ὁ ἰησοῦς, |
[16]Then the eleven disciples went into Galilee, into a mountain, where Jesus had appointed them. |
| [17]καὶ ἰδόντες αὐτὸν προσεκύνησαν, οἱ δὲ ἐδίστασαν. |
[17]And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. |
| [18]καὶ προσελθὼν ὁ ἰησοῦς ἐλάλησεν αὐτοῖς λέγων, ἐδόθη μοι πᾶσα ἐξουσία ἐν οὐρανῶ καὶ ἐπὶ [τῆς] γῆς. |
[18]And Jesus came, and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven, and in earth. |
| [19]πορευθέντες οὗν μαθητεύσατε πάντα τὰ ἔθνη, βαπτίζοντες αὐτοὺς εἰς τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ πατρὸς καὶ τοῦ υἱοῦ καὶ τοῦ ἁγίου πνεύματος, |
[19]Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost, |
| [20]διδάσκοντες αὐτοὺς τηρεῖν πάντα ὅσα ἐνετειλάμην ὑμῖν· καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν εἰμι πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας ἕως τῆς συντελείας τοῦ αἰῶνος. |
[20]Teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, until the end of the world, Amen. |
