| [1]IF, therefore, you have found consola tion in Christ, or whole hearted love or fellowship of the Spirit or compassion and mercies, |
[1]אנ אית לכונ הכיל בויאא במשׁיחא ואנ ממלא בלבא בחובא ואנ שׁותפותא דרוחא ואנ רוחפא ורחמא |
| [2]Complete my joy by being in one accord and one love and one soul and one mind. |
[2]שׁלמו חדותי דחד רעינא נהוא לכונ וחד חובא וחדא נפשׁ וחדא תרעיתא |
| [3]Do nothing through strife or vain glory; but in humility let each regard his neighbor better than himself. |
[3]ומדמ בחרינא או בתשׁבוחתא סריקתא לא תעבדונ אלא במכיכות רעינא כלנשׁ לחברה איכ דמיתר מנה נחשׁוב |
| [4]Let no one be mindful only of his own things, but let every one be mindful of the things of his neighbor also. |
[4]ולא אנשׁ דנפשׁה נאצפ אלא כלנשׁ אפ דחברה |
| [5]Reason this within you which Jesus Christ also reasoned, |
[5]והדא אתרעו בנפשׁכונ הי דאפ ישׁוע משׁיחא |
| [6]Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God: |
[6]הו דכד איתוהי בדמותא דאלהא לא הוא חטופיא חשׁבה הדא דאיתוהי פחמא דאלהא |
| [7]But made himself of no reputation and took upon himself the form of a servant, and was in the likeness of men: |
[7]אלא נפשׁה סרק ודמותא דעבדא נסב והוא בדמותא דבנינשׁא ובאסכמא אשׁתכח איכ ברנשׁא |
| [8]And, being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient to death, even the death of the cross. |
[8]ומככ נפשׁה ואשׁתמע עדמא למותא מותא דינ דזקיפא |
| [9]Wherefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name; |
[9]מטל הנא אפ אלהא אסגי רמרמה ויהב לה שׁמא דמיתר מנ כל שׁמהינ |
| [10]That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, of those on earth, and those under the earth, |
[10]דבשׁמה דישׁוע כל ברוכ תכופ דבשׁמיא ובארעא ודלתחת מנ ארעא |
| [11]And every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is the LORD, to the glory of God his Father. |
[11]וכל לשׁנ נודא דמריא הו ישׁוע משׁיחא לשׁובחא דאלהא אבוהי |
| [12]From now on, my beloved, just as you have always been obedient, not only in my presence, but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. |
[12]מכיל חביבי איכנא דבכלזבנ אשׁתמעתונ לא כד קריב אנא לכונ בלחוד אלא השׁא דרחיק אנא מנכונ יתיראית בדחלתא וברתיתא פלוחו פולחנא דחייכונ |
| [13]For it is God who inspires you with the will to do the good things which you desire to do. |
[13]אלהא הו גיר מחפט בכונ אפ למצבא אפ למסער הו מדמ דצבינ אנתונ |
| [14]Do all things without disputing, and doubting: |
[14]כלמדמ הויתונ עבדינ דלא רטנא ודלא פולג |
| [15]That you may be sincere and blameless, like the innocent children of God, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world: |
[15]דתהוונ תמימא ודלא מומ איכ בניא דכיא דאלהא דעמרינ בדרא עסקא ומעקמא ואתחזו בינתהונ איכ נהירא בעלמא |
| [16]For you are to them the light of life; for my pride and glory in the day of Christ, for I have not run in vain nor labored in vain. |
[16]דאיתיכונ להונ בדוכת חיא לשׁובהרי דילי ביומה דמשׁיחא דלא הוא איקא רהטת ולא סריקאית עמלת |
| [17]Yes, even if my blood be offered upon the sacrifice and the service of your faith, I am happy and rejoice with you all. |
[17]אלא אפנ מתנקא אנא על דבחתא ותשׁמשׁתא דהימנותכונ חדא אנא ורוז אנא עמ כלכונ |
| [18]Likewise you also must be happy and rejoice with me. |
[18]הכנא אפ אנתונ חדו ורוזו עמי |
| [19]But I trust in our LORD Jesus Christ to send Ti-mo'the-us to you soon, that I also may be at ease when I learn of your well being. |
[19]מסבר אנא דינ במרנ ישׁוע דאשׁדר לותכונ לטימתאוס בעגל דאפ לי נהוא לי ניחא כד אלפ מטלתכונ |
| [20]For I have no one here as interested as I am, who will sincerely care for your welfare; |
[20]לית לי גיר אחרינ הרכא דאיכ נפשׁי הו דאכיפאית יצפ דילכונ |
| [21]For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's. |
[21]כלהונ גיר דנפשׁהונ הו בעינ ולא דישׁוע משׁיחא |
| [22]But you know his record, that as a son with his father, he has served with me in the gospel. |
[22]בוקיה דינ דהנא ידעיתונ דאיכ ברא עמ אבוהי הכנא פלח עמי בסברתא |
| [23]I hope to send him to you presently, as soon as I see how it will go with me. |
[23]להנא מסבר אנא דאשׁדר לותכונ בעגל מא דחזית מא דלותי |
| [24]But I trust in my LORD that I also myself shall come shortly. |
[24]ותכיל אנא על מרי דאפ אנא בעגל אתא אנא לותכונ |
| [25]But right now I am forced through circumstances to send to you Epaphroditus, a brother, and assistant and co-worker with me, but he is also your apostle and one who ministers to my wants. |
[25]השׁא דינ אלצתני צבותא דאשׁדר לותכונ לאפפרודיטס אחא דאיתוהי מעדרנא ופלחא דעמי דילכונ דינ שׁליחא ומשׁמשׁנא דחשׁחתי |
| [26]For he has been longing to see you all, and has been depressed because he knew you had heard that he had been sick. |
[26]מטל דסוא הוא למחזא לכלכונ ומעק הוא דידע דשׁמעתונ דאתכרה |
| [27]For indeed he was sick to the point of death but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. |
[27]אפ אתכרה גיר עדמא למותא אלא אלהא רחמ עלוהי לא הוא דינ עלוהי בלחוד אלא אפ עלי דלא תהוא לי עקא על עקא |
| [28]Therefore I have sent him quickly, so that, when you see him again, you may rejoice, and that I may be relieved from anxiety. |
[28]חפיטאית הכיל שׁדרתה לותכונ דכד תחזוניהי תוב תחדונ ולי קליל נהוא נפאשׁא |
| [29]Welcome him, therefore, in the LORD with all joy; and honour those who are like him: |
[29]קבלוהי הכיל במריא בכל חדוא ולאילינ דהכנא אנונ באיקרא אחודו אנונ |
| [30]Because for the work of Christ he came near to death; and by his self denial, he made good your lack of service to me. |
[30]מטל עבדא גיר דמשׁיחא עדמא למותא מטי ובסר על נפשׁה דנמלא מדמ דבצרתונ הויתונ בתשׁמשׁתא דלותי |
